My favorite cake, reminds me of my babczia
Prayers for y'all stay warm
Hi from USA! yes Mark I agree rhubarb😁 I love your recipes thank you❤
I am saying prayers for you and your family. That's a volatile situation next door. Stay safe🙏
Love, love you both and your 'show'! From GA, USA!
Looks delicious. I'm trying it tomorrow. Glad to see you back.
Have fun!
I love you channel! As a Polish American, it brings back so many memories. BUT imagine being diagnosed with Celiac disease and unable to eat anything with gluten in it ever again. Christmas is VERY difficult - so many traditions I cannot take part in anymore. Keep sharing so I can continue to remember the wonders of Polish cooking!
It's so good to have a new recipe from you. Thanks, it was worth the wait. This brings back memories of a neighbor who would bring over a plum cake whenever she harvested plums from her tree.
Trying today! No plums here now, but going to use some blueberries. I love the interaction of Mark in the videos. He asks what I am thinking I my head :) All your stuff look great!
I try. Thanks Maria!
@@markhurning8051 wow... Mark you really try ..
Hello...mark Hurning.
How are you doing
Mniam
So glad you're back! I was watching all the older videos and was looking for newer ones!! Happy Fall y'all!!
WOW. Now I have to get my Polish Your Kitchen book out this weekend. Our oldest daughter is coming home for the weekend, she took a teaching job in Pennsylvania and comes home at least one weekend a month. This will make a great treat to celebrate. Thank you.
Got on your channel by looking at different sauerkraut recipes. I'm digging it. Like it if you spoke more polish and explained what it meant!
Looks marvelous
Thanks for sharing ❤😘
Yum looks really delicious. Will try. Like your new intro 😊
Looks delicious I usually make mine with raisins. I will try the plums next time
Anna, thank you for the wonderful tip about briefly ( *2min. on lowest temperature) heating the oven, turning off and using to put yeast dough inside to rise. Very good advice during colder weather when the house is much cooler
Why hadn't I thought of this? Excellent tip to add to your next cookbook!
I wish there was a ❤ button to press. I grew up eating this. But my grandmother didn’t read or write (in any of the three or four languages she spoke). So when we lost her we lost a lot of her recipes. Especially ones she didn’t make too often (like this one).
Thank you so so very much!!
Happy to see you…looks delicious
Yum! I may have to try and make that for Thanksgiving.
Wow... This is really interesting.
Hello.... Michalene Hill
How are you doing.
???
like your new look -
This looks so good - and pretty!
Best wishes for your continued success. Told a few people who also have Polish roots and 4 of them discovered your channel before I did! We all are happy to have tuned in.
Polish Grandmothers for husband & I. His mother only made cabbage rolls and mine made perogi, borscht and nadasniki. Those were probably spelled wrong but that is how I heard them.
Just want to offer how to describe cutting an onion: pole to pole or across the equator.
Thank you for being out there!
Thank you so much!
I am loving your cookbook Thank You!!! Would love for you to do a video on fruit liquors( making them). Maybe also you can talk about liquors to buy like Krupnik. My family has blackberry liquor and Krupnik on special occasions.
That is my favorite recommendation for a video yet 😂
Looks so good. I am always so happy when we get to watch you cook. And the taste test says it all. Just love you guys. All my Sister's love their Cookbooks. You make it look so easy
Thanks so much
My warm place for proofing is in the oven with the interior oven light on.
Mniam mniam!
Thank you for ur videos!!!!!! I love what you and Mark are doing ❤ keep up the lords work!!!!
Thank you! Will do!
Oh I love this…YUM! In my Ukranian/German/Canadian family we call this Plum Kuchen, my auntie and grandma's recipe is very simular to yours. You’ve brought back a lot of kitchen memories for me and I’m going to make kuchen this week. Thank you for sharing your recipes with us. Stay safe. 🌻
Hello again, Anna. Loving the new look. Excited about the book. Excellent Christmas gift.
This looks so good similer to a recipe that I make from a Ukranian? recipe from my grandmother and she used apples. She was polish mabe polish? It is called apple cake but no crumble. She made it off the top of her head.
Anna (and Mark) Glad to see you back in the kitchen! It looks like somebody has learned some fancy new editing skills!! This cake looks delicious!!! Be well and stay safe!
Thank you so much!
thank you, I will try...yeast intimidating to me ..I like to translate a recipe from Polish to English and it comes out but when it's yeast no dice for me...I amglad your back...I made your bean soup and it was delicious🌹🌹👍🏼👍🏼

Ur business model really sucks...good luck.
I just got a new oven and found out it has a proof setting! I was surprised to find that
Sweet!
That looks delicious. Sp glad you share your polish food culture with the world. Out of curiosity, are their any American dishes you enjoy?
Yeah! Thank you so so so so much! This is one of our favourite things to eat! You help me honour my partners heritage and earn me serious street cred. with my inlaws 😉
Ciasto mojego dzieciństwa, pamiętam jeszcze z rabarbarem + szklanka mleka...niebo w gębie! Serdecznie pozdrawiam
What speed do you use for kneading the dough, and I have that same color mixer
Lowest.
I Love your hair …… Length and color
Pani Anno, z tej strony również Szczecinianin, jak Pani poznała swojego męża?
Could I use a sourdough starter instead of yeast? If so how much? Dzięki!
Not sure, never thought to try that. If so, I think about 1,5 cups (not tested) for this amount of flour, in addition to a bit of yeast still. Let me know if you try that and how it turns out. Curious of the taste and texture.
2.5 tsp of instant yeast on the movie or 3.5 on recipe ?
Follow the written recipe. I probably misspoke.
Could you please provide normal measurements that the whole world uses, please? You know, the International System?
The whole world doesn’t use the International System, thus the recipe is written in both. The link is in the video description.
@@PolishYourKitchen Thank goodness for that! The whole world certainly does not use hogsheads, cubits or ounces, only a handful of backward places.
