    My Polish great grandmother and grandmother made prune pierogi. I love them sautéed in butter for breakfast. I miss those ladies so much. 💖

    My Babci would make blueberry pierogi in August, usually around August 15. She would have them for the Feast of the Assumption and we had a large Polish Festival in Detroit. This was years ago! I liked them boiled and served with the sour cream and sugar she put over them.

    My Polish husband has always told me about the strawberry pierogi his mom would make him. After watching this, I finally got the courage to make them for him. He was SO HAPPY! I’ve made potato and cheese ones once before but these made his face light up like a little boy! Thank you for sharing with such great details. You give great information. I’m looking forward to watching more. My next project will be the 2 day pickles!! So excited! Thank you again!

    There's nothing like fresh juicy Polish strawberries! We never see juicy strawberries in Australia. I can imagine strawberry pierogi to be delicious. You make them so beautifully thin! My first attempt a couple of years back didn't encourage me to make them again 🤨 You make it look so easy Anna 🙂

    Our strawberries used to be like yours, but that was 40 years ago, before scientists and grocers who wanted them to last longer in the stores, got hold of them. Just like tomatoes.

    I live in Buffalo, NY, USA. We have one of the biggest Polish communities outside of Poland. I was raised in a VERY Polish household, and I’m over 50% Polish. I’ve NEVER heard of fruit or sweet pierogi, and now I feel like I’ve been missing out!!! I’m going to have to try to make these!!!!! 😍💜

    I have, the perogies are very similar to our Ukrainian ones, a couple of questions, do you always cook your perogies before you freeze them or can they be frozen raw. If you are making them as a desert perogies would you use a thick cream instead of sour cream? Thanks :)

    • @PolishYourKitchen
      @PolishYourKitchen  3 роки тому

      Yes, I always cook mine before freezing but they can be frozen raw. You can use thick cream (I think this is sweet cream you have in mind) instead of sour cream. 😊
