The saddest scenes from the Clone Wars series. For a kids show where attachment is forbidden, it sure can get emotional. As suggested by Private Switch.
It's darjer than that : lost love interest BY the guy he killed years ago (and his master too), lost his padawan who started the Purge and became Vader, doom of the galaxy (Obi-Wan is my favorite character btw)
And in a way kinda fucked over everyone because of it. if he gave into his emotions a bit, probably would have left the order for satine. Then was basically screwed by everyone. Even his own brother wouldn't treat him like an equal. Get treated like an animal long enough, and that's what you become.
Children's shows had more balls/freedom than current ones do. If you look at kid shows and movies back in the 90s and 80s, they had darker and more mature themes. Kid shows used to be shows that were designed to be enjoyed by any audience range due to substance. Nowadays, not really.
@M・4・8 hey vsauce, Michael here. What is for kids? Is it bright colours? Is it heroes kicking villains? Well, to understand what is for children we need to talk about what kids really are. A good place to start would be the periodic table of elements.
At any point did Vader think back to fives' words and go "ohhhh he was right , I'm so stupid!" Ha maybe that's what he was thinking when he yeeted palpatine into a reactor 😂
@@CartwheelJoe Dude, nothing in Rebels was brutal, it was just cheep. Even Canaan's death. ESPECIALLY Mauls death. The only thing good they did was when Anakin/Vader went up against Ashoka
Season 1 and 2 had their emotional moments but they were pretty childish but from season 3 onwards the show really hit its stride and become far more mature and adult-like
Who says The Clone Wars was a “kids show”? Just because it’s animated doesn’t make it a “kids show”. The themes of war, crime and violence are clearly adult oriented. To suggest otherwise is to show ignorance and naivety.
I never really thought much about Waxer when he died, but when i forst started seeing that twi lek girl on his helmet, i couldnt help myself but crying
Monster ted Waxer and Boil were on Ryloth, and among the ruins of a village they found Numa, a young Twiliek girl that they quickly bonded with. Boil was less patient - "You know, I have cuffs if we need them." - but eventually grew to like her. Waxer was more empathetic, feeding Numa, deciding to take her with them, and realising that he and Boil had to remove their helmets and show that they weren't droids. The scene where the two clones meet Numa was heavily influenced by a crew member who had recently become a father, and it's just really touching. Numa also referred to the two clones as 'nerra' throughout the episode, and Obi Wan told them at the end that the word meant 'brother'.
Tommas Llamas Not even sad for me. It just pissed me off because it could've all been prevented had the clones who knew communicated more and told others.
Wishful Thinking I found it sad cos the guy was used and manipulated the majority of his career and made to kill his own brother. Then when he found another brother he died shortly after. Also it was sad how his massive potential was wasted, if he had more lightsaber training and force training he would have been darth Malgus 2.0

I think Fives' death was especially emotional for Rex because their helmets were off. Rex was holding in his arms a man with his face, who in turn was being held by a man with his face, after being fatally shot by a man with their face. Your own death is perhaps the most traumatising kind of death.
reminds me a moment from Justice League Crisis on tow Earths when Johnny Quick dies in Flash's arms. and they are both counterparts of each other from parrallel universes, though opposite aligned
Right? It's just brutal to see how quickly the jedi turned away from her when she needed help. But on the upside, she did out live all the others and survived to around the time period of the original trilogy, so props to her for making a hard but right decision.
at least most of the council apologised after but then Mace had to go and ruin by blaming it on the force because he's to up himself to admit he was wrong
One of the best things the clone wars did was alter and reprise the iconic original soundtracks such as the imperial march, force theme and duel of the fates to always have that nostalgic factor while watching it and that always make me have the little bit of sadness in my heart
Yes, but that's because Fox, as the leader of the Courascant Guard (Which reports directly to Palpatine and accompanies him wherever he goes) likely knew the truth like all the others close to Palpatine did. No matter what, Fox never intended to take Fives alive. He even calls Fives a "target" as opposed to the otherwise correct term of "suspect."
clone troopers follow orders no matter what for as long as that chip is still in their head they are slaves to whoever is the boss fox was just doing what he was told
Satine’s deaths was the Worst, I never thought of seeing Obi Wan with such strong emotions 😭 Fives was tragic, all he wanted to do was save the Republic, the Jedi, and his brothers
Fabrice Hering Waxer while on a mission to save Twi’leks met a young girl, who he helped and bonded with. When he died we can see he engraved her onto his helmet to remember... I can’t I’m crying 😭
She was more mentally stable than him, and AFAIK didn't have any past mental trauma and conflict holding him back. All Anakin ever wanted was family, and love, things he was denied and wasn't properly taught about.

Honestly, Obi-Wan got punched in the gut so many times in this series alone, even more if you include the movies. Both his master and his love interest killed in front of him on separate occasions, his apprentice, nay, his brother betraying him, his entire order being slaughtered without mercy, and to top it all off, he spends the last few years of his life on a backwater desert planet, keeping an eye on his apprentice’s son and dealing with said kid’s unappreciative aunt and uncle. And yet, never once did he turn to the dark side.
@@OptimisticPessimist with the addition of Rebels, he kills the murderer of both his only love, and his master. And even then, he didn't hate him or get angry, he just pitied him. Obi Wan truly is a great Jedi
The funny thing is, people say this is a "Kids show" (starts sobbing on the inside realizing how many deaths of clones and Jedi alike happened in this show)
It is, a GOOD kids show. Back then, kid shows/movies were designed to be more mature while still maintaining a lighthearted enough representation up front so that it's still viable for kids to view it. Nowadays not so much.
Who said Clone Wars was only a kid show I wonder? Probably people who didn’t even watch a single fucking episode. It’s pretty much a show for general audience, kids AND adults, just like Star Wars movies are.
One by One Domino Squad fell. Droidbait was the first, Cut up had a terrible death, Hevy sacrificed himself, Echo wanted to help them all but ended up being captured which is as good as dead. Fives was the one who would have saved the Jedi. I love how even Fox, the one who killed him took off his helmet and stood by his dead body.
@@challenger3 I don't actually believe so. He was order by palpetine to kill Five. I domt think he had any emotions over that. That s what I think about his character, follows the order no matter what

Fives' death genuinely brought a tear to my eye the first time I saw that scene... man, this show...
Leinad what about 99
When i said all he wanted to do was his duty and the nightmares and the mission was finally over took some tears out of me
Leinad i feel you
Me too
Leinad I’m only a teen but this show could make old men cry...
The thing with being a clone in the clone army is you get to see yourself die thousands of times.
Jesus, I never thought of it like that. That's super dark
Wow crazy thought ...
And in the end, all that death was for nothing
Great, now I'm depressed
I COULD'VE GONE MY ENTIRE LIFE WITHOUT HEARING THIS
I cried tears at the death of Fives. I love the clones, and I got a little sad everytime one died, but seeing Rex and Fives... it was too much.
Candor Lace The other clones got the feels too, though Fox was absent from the circle. He probably went straight away to tell Palpatine that his orders to kill his brother and fellow soldier over no visible evidence was complete! I’m not sure how he slept after that!!

(Also, I didn't find the the death of Savage to be sad, I just thought it was a badass moment of Sidious)
+Augustus Autumn I thought it was a well done ending, and rather tragic. He was forced to serve, in order to save his brother. And then mind-controlled to kill his brother. Then was basically screwed by everyone. Even his own brother wouldn't treat him like an equal.

Oh yes, this is a children's show.
Benjamin Schroeder a good one too
M・4・8 it is though
@M・4・8 welp at least you found who claimed that it is
Children's shows had more balls/freedom than current ones do.

Who says The Clone Wars was a “kids show”? Just because it’s animated doesn’t make it a “kids show”. The themes of war, crime and violence are clearly adult oriented. To suggest otherwise is to show ignorance and naivety.
"if you go for kids you'll have fans for the next 20 years." It's kind of a plan.

+Joseph Simpson what happend with him and the twi lek girl again?
Monster ted
Waxer and Boil were on Ryloth, and among the ruins of a village they found Numa, a young Twiliek girl that they quickly bonded with.

I think Fives' death was especially emotional for Rex because their helmets were off. Rex was holding in his arms a man with his face, who in turn was being held by a man with his face, after being fatally shot by a man with their face. Your own death is perhaps the most traumatising kind of death.

One of the best things the clone wars did was alter and reprise the iconic original soundtracks such as the imperial march, force theme and duel of the fates to always have that nostalgic factor while watching it and that always make me have the little bit of sadness in my heart
that moment when the fate of the whole order lies on one trooper. If Fives told the truth, order 66 would've never happened.
Khairi1601 it's not his fault it's the dumbass troopers that killed him they should of just set it to stun but no kill him very smart
Just another reason to hate Commander Fox ... wasn't he the one who ordered the "shoot to kill" on Ahsoka as well?
Yes, but that's because Fox, as the leader of the Courascant Guard (Which reports directly to Palpatine and accompanies him wherever he goes) likely knew the truth like all the others close to Palpatine did. No matter what, Fox never intended to take Fives alive. He even calls Fives a "target" as opposed to the otherwise correct term of "suspect."
