California realtors promoting Idaho because it is less crowded than California, then seeing it become crowded, traffic gridlock, overpriced housing, overhyped area, is no surprise to locals. But since realtors will sellout quality of life for money , it is no surprise.
I felt like Idaho was clean compared to where I'm living. I liked the stores and other buildings seemed new and easy to get to. The Greenbelt and hot air balloon festival as well as the State Fair were a lot of fun there. It felt safe walking around Boise. There was a Ford building there that had some good shows and events in Nampa. We didn't really find very nice camping spots or hiking trails but maybe didn't go far enough North. Thanks for the content. It's a great channel.
As always thank you Kurt for always engaging. The north end of town has some great hiking and then there are beautiful camping spots once you head up into Valley County towards Cascade McCall and the mountains.
One thing I'd be interested in that didn't get addressed here was the culture shock of the vastly different political bent of ID compared to super liberal drug and crime tolerant CA as well as the predominantly LDS religious factor.
That is true! But there are still deals to be had and depending on where you move from, it can still be a fraction of the price. But not to the level it once was.
Most boring / lazy take. The boy-see is the lamest gatekeeping. And most of the Californians that move here are actually right wing folks “fleeing” the state.

Yes!! Love Idaho
It’s a pretty good place to call home. 😁

Left Southern California in 2018, now in northwest Nevada, I never looked back. Our community is conservative in nature….
It can be scary to make a big move but once it’s done, you wonder why you didn’t do it sooner!

You moved to Boise before home prices exploded

There's no Z in Boy See, also leave the Blue state politics behind... Don't turn Idaho into the mess that CA folks did to Colorado, a California east.

I never hear the difference. 😂 I don’t have a trained ear.
I would agree that most making the move are coming to Idaho for something different than what they had in CA.
