"How could I end up with such a... hideous... body... And yet... this world... This world is so full of beauty..." - Louise "Somebody elses Body? No Yonah! They were ours to begin with" - Shadowlord aka. Human Brother NieR
But is that entirely true if nier was the Replicant for yonah to cure her but it didn't work because he developed his own life and that's how they became siblings and we technically know very little about shades the shadowlord and if shades became extinct after the canon ending. Everything is left ambiguous
@@318jta i'm not sure I totally understood what you said but I'll try my best to answer your questions Today we know quite a lot about shades (Gestalts). The Nier/Yonah duo we see at the opening is the human version of them, the duo we see for the rest of the game are the replicants. Because we defeated the shadowlord all the shade will start relapsing and the associated replicants will develop the black scroll and die painfully. Unfortunatly we are the reason humanity became extinct The lore and explanation about all this is really big but I don't want to make my comment too long x)
@sogakeena2132 yea i watched the eruptionfang video and basically human nier shadowlord got tired of waiting for devola and popola to cure his real sis who was inside replicant yonah who was sick smh too much taro is crazy
"The saddest (and most ironic) part is that the Gestalt was an experiment-which means it could never be human because it lacked a corresponding body." - Popola (from Project Gestalt Recollections - File 02)
Louise was a fierce opponent, no one could stop her and her wish to become human, and nothing in this world could hurt her more than the harsh words of the one she saw as her parental figure, and she couldn't even be alive to see him proud of her little achievement of managing to write a simple scribbled "thank you"
I really like how the third time around she was really easy to beat mechanically, but I very much had to force myself. At least by doing the early finish I spared her the rejection by the only human she ever loved… 🥲
Ironically she was a human all along. Well... in some form... Ofc, for all intends and purposes. The replicants were the only thing resembling the old humans
@@kevinshao2089the fact she was more human than any of the “humans” she yearned to be , and how she died with the ever-lingering feeling of being a monster while it was the opposite all along…this game is something else
@@quandaledingle9735not even that, because she was part of a experiment and wans't assigned a replicant body to her, so not even if project gestalt came to fruition would she be able to be human
Louise is so overpower even Grimoire Weiss felt intimated by her presence and the twins consider to use her as countermeasure against Shadowlord in case he go rogue

One of the best boss, one of the best OST ever made. Is a real addiction. Emi Evans voice is astonishing
One of the best bosses ever made? Not even close. None of the bosses in this game are great. One of the best OST ever made? Definitely.
