The subtle detail where in the nier replicant versions there is only 1 emil singing, but in the nier automata version there are multiple emil's singing because he has cloned himself. JUST PERFECT!
This song always makes me think of a child singing the song of a hero that always saves the day, no matter the crisis, no matter how dark the day, that hero comes shining through. The child has faith the hero will come again now, and they are coming... but they won't make it in time... they WILL fail, and the pain of that will resonate with the hero for years to come. When the Automata version hits and the chorus songs those first notes of the hero's song, that pang of tragedy hits the hero again, only this time, they WILL make it. The stronger drums, the horns, and the bridge with the woman singing sounds like a prayer from the hero that this time they'll make it; this time, no one is going to suffer. Their heart, pounding in their chest, can't take another defeat like before.
Hear me out, Karma and Sacrifice are singed by one Emil, the original one. Despair is sang by a chorus of Emils, because of the cloning thing. But the one that really gets me is surprisingly Emil's shop, because he´s mumbling the song, as if he was trying to remember it. I might be over thinking but whatever.
It makes me think imagine if Emil could read these comments and how we all care for him maybe he wouldn’t feel so alone but it’s make me happy how we (the fans) unite to always defend our little floating friend because of how we love and adore him
Remember, Emil is the last human, watched his friends die, lost a war against the aliens in an attempt to protect the memory of his friends, and is immortal and un-killable making him unable to escape the despair-induced loneliness he is doomed to experience for all eternity.

*_I'm... scared. I don't want to... die..._* *_Because this is the world my friend tried to save..._* *_Every day's a sale! Every sale's a win!_* *_Every day is great when you're me!_*
If a tragic, loving, grieving, suffering, optimistic and empathic God ever existed in physical form, dear Emil would be the one to ascend such painful and endearing height. All love to Emil and Yoko Taro for creating such a complex and lovable character!
I agree, although He was hopeful, not optimistic. Utmost will not have what it takes to be seen favourably at the Last Day, as written in Revelation of John, but He was hopeful that many as possible would turn to Trinity. He was pessimistic about man since man needed a path to be redeemed and even when the man received a path to walk, it would be as it was meant to be that something so horrible had to happen onto to the Messias, and that many would not see Him. Every other description fits the Son of Man and Son of God.
This is awesome. I think 10:43 - 11:33 is the most emotional charging for me. After hearing all the previous moments of quite and loud, rhythms, choir, and orchestra, to go not back to quiet again, but rather give this sturdy underscore refusing to be too much or too less, is a great decision. Then to use the DoD3 vocals on top of the regular beginning switches things up and means that the highest tone is touched on for a longer time than we expect, which creates this beautiful brilliance as the top of innocence. My only critical point in this is that it is the same two times in a row, but I don‘t really see another combination that wouldn‘t have lost that brilliance or feeling of variety. After that the sudden shift to the despair vocals, and the trumpet underscoring of it, cries out the unjust suffering Emil has gone through with the innocence gone from the melody and the tone it is sung and played in. This shift in this short time captures the essence of what we find the happiest and the saddest in Emils story, builds perfectly on what was given, and is pretty much a creation of the cutter. So I just mean to say thank you, @RobbyyGss. (Otherwise I also really loved the sudden turn from sacrifice to despair.)
This is a fantastic arrangement! The transitions are great, and the way you ordered them and put them together flows really well. I can't stop listening to it!

It's me again, I'm back. I've been listening to this all morning on loop for some reason... can't imagine why. (It's just very good.) I gotta say, it's not the music that hits me the hardest between Sacrifice and Despair, but the visual with "WARNING - EMIL" cause I remember that being the ONE part of Auto that messed with me. I've played every single entry in DOD/Nier blind. I didn't know what was coming, and I felt Auto was weak in comparison to the rest of the entries, so I fell off a bit on the universe of it-- choosing to watch a video.. and then seeing that one portion on youtube I remember the cold ice down my spine and my head. The mad man actually went and killed my boy. I STILL feel that. I can sit here and watch this video over and over again and still feel it every single time. I don't know why. It's just so embedded in me and the game is just so hardline unapologetic about letting you miss it that I DID miss it, because I felt the game was going easy on my feelings. It wasn't. I just wasn't committed enough. Long story short, that was a really simple visual but I don't know why-- it kicks me every single time this video loops. You done good.
i wonder how many emil clones have went crazy and started attacking androids like the one in the desert from automata. wouldnt be a pretty sight if all of them begin to get serious. possibly the plot for the next nier game.

@@lolettoa2971you miss out on the remake (and novela) only Ending E as well as a new chapter in the second half of the game by playing the original. I highly recommend playing the remake (even if you have to pirate it)
昔から大好きな曲がこんな素敵な繋げ方してもらえるなんて……。製作者さんの作品愛と技術に感謝します🙏
u can tell love and effort was put into this.
this is PEAK music. I’ve never found an emil mashup where I could turn the volume up this loud
Play the Naruto games. They have amazing music that out perform these games
@@villaniousmustache4898 Naruto games are fun, but I don't think they're as good as NieR.
@villaniousmustache4898 It's nowhere near to nier lol
@@pineapple8934lmao yeah.. naruto have some very dope theme song.. but Nier just on whole different level..
Makes me cry every single time. Thank you so much of this. Secret final boss in automata hit different...
God I haven't felt that emotional in a long while... Thank you for this wonderful edit and tribute to such an incredible, yet tragic, character.
I was genuinely surprised at how good the section at 10:10 sounded :D
thank you so much for this masterpiece, emil's story made me cry so much and this mashup really brings all of his memories together
I was expecting the old emil sacrifice on the very end as a final cherry on top but damn this mix is amazing
NieR is really just the story of Emil. hes the only one to live to the end of time to experience all the suffering the world has to offer, and yet he still keeps going (automata is ambiguous id say)
he is still there, the last remnant of humanity and his mission is cool. Killing the clones I mean.
The real hero always until the end of time.
this gets me so pumped to play the game again ... my favorite game ever nier replicant
11:00 such a smooth transition intothe trumpets... I love that part... so beautiful...
Woah, this is really an amazing edit!! Thank you!
Am I the only one here who just wants to hug this poor, precious boy? And no. I'm not crying. You're crying! Or someone's cutting onions....
*_I'm... scared. I don't want to... die..._*
*_Because this is the world my friend tried to save..._*
*_Every day's a sale! Every sale's a win!_*
*_Every day is great when you're me!_*
The smoothest transitions of any mix I've ever heard, amazing job
Спасибо тебе за этот мешап всех версий темы эмиля❤ я плачу без остановки! Ты гений!
I love the violon part so much in Automata, you always recognize it
If a tragic, loving, grieving, suffering, optimistic and empathic God ever existed in physical form, dear Emil would be the one to ascend such painful and endearing height.
All love to Emil and Yoko Taro for creating such a complex and lovable character!
Jesus was that which you speak of and He will return to us again. He has the power of an indestructible life.
I hope my boy is finally with his best friends Kaine, Nier and Weiss camping and having a blast
I’m crying so much this is why I love the Nier/Darkengard franchise so much.
5:35 god...this transition killed me, my eyes started to burn.
You mean our eyes, brother? ❤
Emil the best fictional character ever made
Maybe a bit of a stretch
I would say one of the best.
Its crazy like 10 years ago emils theme is the song that first introduced me to nier i ran across it on accident and i absolutely had to know where it came from and i ended up playing Nier Gestalt not knowing there were two versions. And i fell in love. This song is so beautiful
BRO? I JUST CANT STOP LISTENING TO THIS??? ITS TOO GOOD STOP IT?
Emil is the strongest, most caring, and most tragic character in all of gaming. Boundless love, and boundless pain, for all eternity.
this version is a masterpiece, 14 minutes of emotions... i cant thank you enough for this, so keep making awesome masterpiece.
Just wanna say, this piece absolutely slapped, and we need more like it in our lives!
Emil suffered so much and only wanted to do so much for humanity and his friends. What a legend.
This hurts... my precious child has suffered enough...
If yonah and Sebastian weren't a pen pal, NieR wouldn't have known Emil, and maybe He would've died by Popola's bursting energy
That final line of his in ending A in the first Nier…the first time around f*cking destroyed me.😭🌊
I still can’t watch the scene without tearing up.🥺😢
Wrote my thesis on Emil and the themes of identity. It kinda confused my teacher, but it was fun to write it all out!
the first time i heard Emil: Sacrifice and Emil: despair ingame, i got teary eyed for some reason. thank you for this!
this game brings back so many memories. even today. Played Nier Automata too. Both amazing games.
This video title has more slashes in it then it took me to beat the last boss.
💀

My favorite character! his story is just so deep.
I've been listening to this remix religiously for a year straight without getting tired. It tickles my brain and feeds my Emil loving brain.
This is amazing; the transitions, custom titlescreens and timing are perfect.
i wonder how many emil clones have went crazy and started attacking androids like the one in the desert from automata. wouldnt be a pretty sight if all of them begin to get serious. possibly the plot for the next nier game.
Our boy Emil kept fighting in an endless pit of despair for friends who were dead and ash for 7,000+ years. He's the bestest boy.
min. 6:40 que sincronización mas perfecta, que gran mix tributo a Emil.
One of the best in Nier ost , I love this remix ver , thank you very much
Ты очень силен, ты очень крут. Твоя работа прекрасна ❤
Thank you so much for this. Brought me to tears again.
Much love from me to you. This was beautiful.
Thank you so much for putting this together 🙏🏾
This is perfect man. Thank you
Muiti bom👍👍Estou assistindo você e gostei muito de assistir tudo
“Thanks for always being there for me.”
getting hyped for the anime. i hope they gave emil some spotlight.
I need more videos like this, with others Nier songs
I play this all day when I got the deadline and overtime works to do. Recommended to keep you sane and productive 👍
Haven't played the game but these vocals are super amazing
