Very inspiring ! Impressive work you did with all Wavestate Packs. I am seriously considering getting a Wavestate, just wondering if what you achieve with the extra Beat Step can be somehow done with the joystick ?
I chose a pad controller to be quick in switching. One hit or touch and you send a trigger to mute or unmute an element. Sure you can do this with the joystick but that would not be an option for me.
@@MaikSchott Thanks for answering ! I can only imagine how much you can do with an additional controller coupled with the limitless possibilities of the Wavestate
I am a huge prologue 16 fan, and recently been poking around some higher end stuff, but kinda fell back on korg. It hit me they released these flasgship models last year. I am somewhat considering grabbing the wavestate se and opsix se. I keep trying to read yo on the difference between the modules and the SE models. All I keep finding is just some more voices? Anything else you can speak on? Part of me thinks it would he cool as fuck having those two plus a prologue in the studio next to the Moog Model D. But also modules save a ton of space soooo appreciate your thoughts.
The differences are really not big. The newer Models have more voices and I think a newer processor. I found the modules quite fancy in combination with the keystage. The poly after touch feature is great.
@MaikSchott yeah a part of me just wants the Korgs to have you know just awesome player oriented keyboards. But yeah I could just use modules or plugins with an osmose and call it a day
I must say I really like the keybed. As being a tour & studio keyboard player for decades this feels very comfortable. Plus the fact of having 61 keys for soloing and wide keyzones. (and of course not to forget the doubled voices which I notice when playing fully stuffed patches like I do a lot in my soundsets)
I liked the key bed but it's just not good enough to justify the money difference (twice as expensive as the regular Wavestate MK2). Nethertheless I almost bought one because the key bed of the regular Wavestate is just not good... So I ended up with the Wavestate Module. Half the money of the SE, almost (bit cheaper even) than the regular one, BUT with all the internal features of the Wavestate SE...
I am disappointed with Korg's asking price for a Wavestate SE. From what I read they are not flying off the shelves. I think they may have priced themselves out of the market. Mind you I am happy with my 1st generation Wavestate.

Nice👍😁👍 Great idea to put a desk in the middle of the room and you to want focus on one kind of setup. Plus speaker arrangement could surround you.🤔
Cool video, sounds and vibes 👌😋
Nice use of the Beatstep. I wonder if there is a way of doing the same thing with the Keystage? Something else to play with!
Good question - haven't got the chance yet to work with them. But the Keystage does not have any pads, I think.
@@MaikSchott it doesn't but there are mapping options with some of the buttons. I will have a look over the weekend.
I see you are using the 61 key SE. Will this Beatstep integration also work for wavestate?
Of course. Same system

That’s awesome. I didn’t know it could do that. What’s driving the clock/arp?
It's all internal. The pads are only muting some elements of the WaveState
Hi my freind, what are you're thoughts on the Wavestate SE?
Is it worth the extra ££ over the original?
I must say I really like the keybed. As being a tour & studio keyboard player for decades this feels very comfortable. Plus the fact of having 61 keys for soloing and wide keyzones. @MaikSchott Interesting. I'm surprised it doesn't seem to get much interest.
Hardly any reviewers bothered etc which I think is a shame.
@maydaygoingdown5602 Maybe it has to do with the fact that the specs are too similar to the small WS.

@MGralike Oh I didn't know they did a Wavestate module. I've not seen that. Is it a desktop version or something?

Nice. Is the controller connected directly to the WS SE?
Yes via MIDI
