Very nice and relaxing video. I too was in Nikko in September for the first time. Wonderful experience. I’m convinced it’s impossible to take a bad photo anywhere in Nikko. I bought my first camera in 1980… Pentax K1000. I retired to Kamakura in 2021. Life here is conducive to a truly peaceful retirement. After 41 years in the Technology Sector I can enjoy my photography again. Moved from Fujifilm GFX50ii, XH2s and XH2 to Nikon Zf and Z8. Completely content now. It’s funny how film cameras and turntables have become popular again. No going back for me. Did it done it! Enjoy! I subscribed! Thanks for the content.
I shot some photos last year in nikko 2 weeks after harmon phoenix released. Such a relaxing spot to daytrip to. Your photos came out fantastic. Glad you enjoyed your visit
Great job, theres so much more to Nikko than I'd realized! Also im gonna have to steal your style of photowalk video, those are so relaxing and i like how much time you spend on each photo.
Hello! We just had a trip to Nikko last weekend and exactly went to the same spots! There was a lot of autumb colors and I loved it very much! Kegon falls specifically looked so magestic. I only took few shots as I only had few frames left and forgot to bring an extra film. I really recommend going to Nikko as it is also one of the UNESCO Heritage sites!
Ohh Teo! the colours you got to experience in Nikko are majestic! I was there last April and it was super cold and grey. got some nice shots in the snow but damn green (and probably humid) Nikko seems just awesome!
@@jakevits9937 Haha it was HOT! And I don’t like the hot (I’m a winter person)😅😂 But nevertheless it was beautiful and that made the heat easy to bare☺️
a lot i learn from you esp film's capacity to intake light. ive noticed that most of my film fail to capture anything remotely interesting once the sun starts to set and its unfortunate as i love night-time photography. gotta rely on digital there which i dont mind considering the godly night images one gets using digital (i understand what michael mann is on to for the past 40 or so years haha). calming video, beautiful snaps, point is to move to japan? let's see, let's hope.
Oh God, UA-cam defaultet to the German audiotrack at it might be a great accessibillity feature for people who don't know English, but it was unbearable for me.
This feature might be pretty cool if you voice the different audiotracks yourself if you speak the language (like the German one), but the AI voice is really ugly.
@@teocrawford There is the option to choose between German, English (US), French, Italian, Spanish (US) and Portuguese (Brasilian) with the English option being your original audiotrack and the others voiced by a computer/AI voice. And UA-cam seems to default the audiotrack to whatever language you use UA-cam in. It's really weird and I don't get why.
@@teocrawford Oh, and it also auto translated the title to "Filmdreh auf dem Land in Japan." (Yes, with the dot at the end) which is a really bad translation, since a "Filmdreh" is something completely different from film photography.
hey Teo, I have just recently started to watch your videos and I must say, I'm instantly a fan! The videos feel very calming like I am talking to a long time friend. :) I've also just started shooting film and picked up a K1000 same as you lol. I am curious though, what lens & film stock were you using in this video? All the best brother!
hi Teo! I've been watching your videos for around a year and I love your work! I also want to go to Nikko this winter break from Tokyo during winter for a photo day trip but i am unsure as to how i can get there, what trains did you take to get there?
@@VariTimo To be honest, I didn’t know what the music was hahah😅 It’s a cover that my friend Hikaru (in the video) sang and I just thought it was beautiful so I wanted to include it✨
ahhhh i love this so much damn near ASMR haha. Just came back from filming in Japan for 2 weeks and I need to go back asap. Was my first time making a film with anamorphic, would love to know what you think! 💙
Do you know maybe what is the brand of your's friend green camera strap? I very like that solution Also the video is as always pure masterpice in terms of color grading, chilly vibes and editing ❤
Hey Teo! I just received my k1000 today. I bought this camera because of you. I can't wait to go hunting with it. If i may ask you a question, what lens are you using in your k1000? Because mine came with Ricoh XR Rikenon lens. Since this is my first time owing a camera, I don't know if the lens that i have is good or not, so I'm just wondering what lens you are using. Thank you!
I was sipping my herbal tea and watching your video. Perfect relaxing and inspiring time. I immediately started to planning my photo trip. Well for now not to Japan, unfortunately, but to some smaller places nearby. But Japan would be a dream, too 😃
ik you might not see this comment or take it w a pinch of salt but i would really i mean really love for u to make a tutorial on the basics of photography
I can’t wait to do what you do these travel montages and videos mean sm to me they look so ugh idk how to describe it but it’s the vibe and how I want to portray the world and even the editing all of it, I want to make those similar vibes to old quirky indie coming of age films to come across when it you need it most. The beauty of this video is unmatched I crave do do and portray the world and beauty like you do. The colours, framing, even style of camera and the subject you chose are just perfect it’s all the same nostalgia dreamy I want to do that plus like ignore terminology idk how to explain it but Midwest emo type isolated, nature and to capture its beauty in an everlasting image and video. Never stop you have an amazing talent I’m currently in creative media and production (film) it’s been a couple months so far and I do really enjoy it I’ve missed so many lessons because of my mh and they refuse to catch me up sadly lolll so I might have to drop out but idk hopefully it’ll work out but yeah sorry just his was random idk what I was trying to say I just love ur videos so much this is a style I adore never give up :3

What a beautiful place to visit, your colour grading on this video is amazing and your photos are incredible as always. Japan is a dream visit for me
Interesting photos, and beautiful scenes. As an aside, I also liked that there was no litter or graffiti. Japan seems a beautiful country.
