I listened to these Tuss songs over and over while painting my neighbor's house last week to the point I was singing the lyrics out loud. Swear the old man heard me sing :)
Richard D. James has commented on the ambigious nature of his own releases and the speculation that surrounds many anonymous artists working in electronica: 'a lot of people think everything electronic is mine. I get credited for so many things, it's incredible. I'm practically everyone, I reckon - everyone and nobody'.
Its a shot from a short porno scene pac-man did on the 70's. RDJ acknowlodged that movie being influential to his early career for an interview on E-Entretainment television. He also stated in the same interview he doesnt know who Ceephax but would like to meet such a great artist someday.
the tuss is one person, also known as -- aphex twin, AFX, Blue Calx, Bradley Strider, Caustic Window, DJ Smojphace, GAK, Martin Tressider, Polygon Window, Power-Pill, Prichard D. Jams, Q-Chastic, Tahnaiya Russell, The Dice Man, Soit P.P. yeah... he has a lot of pseudonyms
ok i take my comment back. i hadnt really listened to anything new from richard until now. it does accually sound like something he would do. he is such a fucking musical genius.
THIS IS THE WORK OF TUSS MAKE NO MISTAKE if you listen to the voice it is EXACTLY the same as the one that answers yep to richard on aphex twin's four.
The voices sound a bit like the one at the start of "Funky Acid Stuff," that and Luke Vibert likes to name his songs after acid. Certainly supports the theory of a collaboration between him and Rich.
When I came across these about 2 years ago I thought they were fake as well. But apparently they are real and they were leaked and never were supposed to be released.
These have been on The Tuss joke-myspace accounts for over 7 years already, and they didn't leak. I don't think they are necessarily RDJ, but the tracks on those myspace accounts are almost certainly consensually posted either by him or with his involvement. How do you explain Wisp's "Teddy Oggie" being on those pages nearly 3 years before it appeared on his first Rephlex LP?

The first (???) have you heard about analog. The 2nd (???) is “…tape recorder, ghetto as f**k”. I always thought the lyrics were saying “analog farts”, but it does sound like fuzz as I re listened.
James has recorded as AFX, Blue Calx, Bradley Strider, the Universal Indicator, Caustic Window, Smojphace, GAK, PBoD (Phonic Boy on Dope), Polygon Window, Power-Pill, Q-Chastic, Dice Man, the Tuss, Soit-P.P and user18081971.
RDJ is def involved in the Tuss, at least in the actual LP and EP he is. But all these extra side songs that have only been released on myspace don't sound like him, like it's different production. I just take the Tuss the same way as Gescom. Like a collective of artists all from the Rephlex label.
This Tuss is James, juts another alias like Polygun window for his kinds of sounds. But out of respect all the Acid people out there started calling themselves The Tuss. So now Everyone is The Tuss.
@@3313xx exactly these lyrics mean that RICHARD D JAMES is 100 percent this. There is no question in my mind that this is the truth and anyone saying otherwise can DIE
I think the whole verse is... I want to say a word about The Tuss But it so happens that I am at a loss My rhymes don't flow cuz I just don't know How to make it more IDM without stopping the show
I know Aphex Twin's music well enough to KNOW that this is definitely the work of Richard D Jones and Mike Skinner from The Streets, it's fucking obvious! Why do people always have to ruin something brilliant by doubting it? Like the old saying goes 'Don't doubt what you don't know". Richard D Jones is probably laughing at YOU right now!
I know some people think this is just a random fan, but I'm convinced it's RDJ himself being a goof. The synths sound like him... One of the synths sounds like something from Melodies From Mars. He's had dirty lyrics before too - like on "Milkman"
@epcot while listening to this beautiful music I heard him say "...aphex twin acid. TUSS!" in the song "Acid Brother" by The Tuss. :) this information IS gained from listening to the music. The tuss could have been Cher and Bono for all I care, if it sounds like this it is on my playlist ;)
haha final last comment. This song reminds me of Bogdan as he enjoys singing, and he always has weird as humour in his songs. Guessing him and some others made this.
At this point, it's hard to tell who is and isn't Richard D. James. I remember a few years ago when everyone was convinced that Astrobotnia was a James pseudonym, and that turned out to be Ovuca, not James. AFX/Aphex Twin/Etc has become an electronic institution consisting of one man, and that man has been in the business for over twenty years. The number of people ripping him off is quite large. Nobody can be blamed for thinking this is AFX, but it may well not be.
@flood612 yer, but think about it, the name is 'Aphex Twins' which mean their MUST be at least too of them. Richard James is reallie too people, Richard AND James. They could b twins, but one always stays at home and you wouldent know it cos they look the same and noone nose where they live.
@emeraldfairy90 It's pretty obvious that the Skins have something to do with it. Look at Patrick Tregaskin's "Staz" track. Then look at his MySpace which is connected with "tussticles" which released the song you're listening to. I suppose that's just fun and games right?

I LOVE this song, it's brilliant on so many levels.
Listening to the lyrics, I really don't want to know what Brian and Karen do in their free time apart from making music.
The greatest satire in the history of IDM.
