My dad gave me a huge playlist of songs in 6th grade for my mp3 player. After losing my mp3 player I thought I'd never find them again but today I found this one and that's crazy!
2 yrs late but music like this has its way of finding its way back into your life, generally at the most seemingly random unexpected times, but a time none the less, where that music seems to make everything make sense, even if only temporarily.
AFX/Aphex Twin/Polygon Window/Caustic Window, whatever projects he had worked on, RDJ was simply the most creative, unique, outlandishly analogue artists out there.
The instruments are top-notch but the melodies are just perfect. Aphex Twin is the direct proof that a couple of 303 + tr-808/909 can rule forever. takk fyrir og góða nótt
I don't know why I'm obsessed with this genre of music, but it really captures my imagination in a strange way. It reminds me of being in a lucid dreaming state and hearing random noises and remixes of all the songs that I've heard in the past year...
Dude exactly I found myself closing my eyes and daydreaming with aphex twins songs on Like the song xtal i imagine my favorite cartoon couples sharing love shower Like. A shower with themselves And the song you can’t hide your love I imagine Marceline and finn on a crazy night when Marceline without any shock finds out that finn has a crush on her while they floating in the air And the song come to daddy .... i imagine myself beating the shit out of a tv man
@@ahmadmalaki8364 Aphex Twin was one of the musicians who inspired me to become an electronic musician! I've done a lot of music programming on Shadertoy this year.
This is the first song in my "Best No Radio" playlist. You don't hear bad ass music like this on the radio; only talentless bs mostly. So yes, Aphex Twin!
My favourite Aphex Twin track right now has to be Vordhosbn. I also love windowlicker obviously. Because my dad used to play it when I was a little kid and it was so weird at the time. But that’s Aphex Twin for ya! 👍🏻
lmfao im literally laughing at how good AT is. on YET ANOTHER binge of his YT vids, and it just doesnt end. masterpiece after masterpiece. i hope to see him live before its too late. love u RDJ ;)
This just popped into my recommendations after like God knows how long and I'm more than thankful it did. This track just sounds so melancholy, like a far away inhabited galaxy crying out for someone, anyone, to come into contact with for centuries only to be met with the cold silence of space, slowly snuffed out by their kind's own hubris. That is when the messages finally reach us as we too are shouting into the cosmos, a glimmer of hope as we listen for an answer that was yet to come. Alas, it was too late, for it took traveling hundreds of thousands of lightyears to reach us, as we are the last beings to hear the cries of a long forgotten civilization.
I love how this song starts out as sort of a dance track, like when you hear the intro, you think “wow, this song is gonna be dope!” And as the song continues, it gets more emotional. When the drums disappear and you’re left with the synths and pads, you’re most likely to get emotional. I get emotional every time because of how beautiful this song is.

you're right.. i still find it strange to think that the 90's were 20 years ago and i'm nearly as old... time truly passes ones self by when we don't grasp at it..

Damn, an Aurora and Aphex Twin fan, way to go man. She is such an inspiring personality and artist.
He puts actual personality into his tracks which is surprisingly rare.
cause personality is rare, thats why
The way it feels feels, is he's speaking into our soul.... with sound
yeah its like the songs have vocals or lyrics , deeper meaning.
He understands music more than most of us do
And it makes it even funnier when he claims that he has no idea what he is doing
