10K is the range for the signal. It doesn't mean that the drone will make it that far on the battery. In fact, it won't. The point of the 10K information is to tell you how secure the connection is for the transmitter.

Actually it can go farther there is another guy that was out of the country did a range test one way. He got like 11,000 meters about 6 miles away. He kept updating the home point so that it wouldn't try to fly all the back to him. Also if you would of been in normal mode you would of gotten farther. The drone in whatever mode you are in figures how much battery it needs to get back to home point. You also have to really take into account for the wind when you fly. If you are going long with the wind behind you, and try coming back against the wind you could definitely run short on battery. Pretty scenery there.

Just a tip... Fly into the wind and back home with the wind. Also if you cancel the return to home it can fly 10k one way, it just won't make it back, so land it in a safe spot where you'll be able to retrieve it... That's how I did it

I don't recommend range tests over water. It may be highly dangerous in case when emergency landing.. Battery may be drained quickly when RTH triggered.. I dont fly more than 3 km over water with full battery.. And sport mode consumes battery more and more.. Here in Türkiye, there are guys sending this drone to 7 km away, but they do it over lands and takes their own security..
This is great but nowhere close to 10km in distance from the remote not 10km round trip, 5km one way. I want to see a video that it can prove it can go 10km away from the remote, that’s what DJI claims that it can do.

The picture you saw was the screen recording at low resolution. I accidentally turned off the 4k video recording. I was scared when it was out that fast! Have a good one 👍🏽

Because you were over water is why the range was so terrific, radio signals carry much further over water than over land. Great test !

I've tested my Zino pro it flies with shorter length on land or suburbs. Want further length go-to lake or sea. Water reflects more signals.
If you need a better signal, and longer range, use the YAGI-UDA antenna.
I feel a lot more confident flying mine out over some of the islands off the coast from where I live. Thanks for being brave and posting the vid!

I'm guessing when you do that you hit the auto land function as when you go low you totally lose the signal?

It's about 4 kilometres.
That's cutting it pretty close. Just make sure there's a safe place to land if you run out of battery

Yes same here... I got mine just over 10000 metres. I had to cancel RTH and land it somewhere safely. Controller still had strong signal.

Hey, the 144001 tires don't fit the A959B. I haven't seen any tires lately, check aliexpress.com. I've put the wheels from my A979 on my A959B
