I lost everything I had in Hurricane Katrina when I was 16. My mom got me a PSP with the first insurance check so I would have something to keep me entertained while living with my grandpaw. This song was on the demo disc and I listened to it over and over again. This one song got me through one of the hardest times in my life.
coming here in 2019 to comment that I too had the PSP demo disc that had this song on it! It also had Cold by Crossfade, Vibrate by Petey Pablo (even though the whole damn thing was practically censored), Club foot by Kasabian, Aint comin home by Silvertide, Home by Three days Grace, and O by Omarion
Yo! My situation was totally different but after my Grandpa passed my Nana bought me a PSP and that's how I heard of Coheed & Cambria. PS I'm posting this from my husbands UA-cam account.
Haha I was already a fan when I got my PSP in 2006 but was pleasantly surprised. They’re still going strong, actually big enough to have their own cruise festivals.
First heard this song when i was 11 in 2003. Being a black kid growing up in Maryland, i wasn't like all the others around me. Others looked at me weird because i didn't act black. (Spent the early years in VA) I didn't have many friends and the ones i did have, didn't stick around because they would dissappear the following year. After hearing this on that psp demo umd i couldn't get enough of this kind of music. It got me through high-school, loneliness, breakups, loss of loved ones.. everything. I can never thank bands like this enough for keeping me alive growing up. Its still been pretty rough, but I made it to 32 because of these guys and many others
Comment section: PSP Memories: 95% Old fans nostalgia: 4% Others: 1% This song is really legendary especially to the PSP gamers. Edit: wow! I never knew that this comment would gain some likes hehehe. For those who don't have any idea what I'm talking about let me explain it. Some PSP console owners (like me) received a free demo UMD disc that contains Blood Red Summer MV. I still own it up to this day. Besides that Coheed and Cambria also released a Live on Starland Ballroom UMD disc on PSP prior to that. 🤘
I remember waking up in (maybe) 6th to 8th grade to MTV vidz before school and this song would be on occasionally. I HATED it. Now Coheed is one of my favorite bands ever. They're incredible.
I loved every song that was on it, but Coheed and Cambria stayed with me forever. Their style is so unique and their story telling has been phenomenal!
+Walle C i was just about to type the same thing. its funny cause i hated the song at first.."this is stupid" then i fell in love with it and CC. thanks PSP
I'm just a random black guy from the southside of Chicago and this music vid came randomly with a psp I got back in the day and my life was never the same lmao
this band kept me alive through my teenage years. I was obsessed with Claudio Sanchez. I'm just a random black guy, I fell in love with rock music like crazy.
Isn’t music an awesome thing to be able to bring like minded people together? You’re not a random person Michael, as cheesy as it sounds you’re part of this family. Coheed fans are just different man. It’s a lifestyle lol. Most of us will never meet another Coheed fan randomly unless it’s online or at one of their concerts. We are all together in this man. You’ve got great taste!
God I remembered listening to 3 days grace home and pain and this song while playing club penguin as kid I misses the old days so odd now that this song has pretty much awakened the kid within me I just don't understand how it all changed 🐙
bat dog where would one in intensest find the Amory Wars? ive looked all over the internet, really wanted to read them but every store says its out of stock.
Try www.evilinkcomics.com. Also, a google search for The Second Stage Turbine Blade and In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3 should get you the right results. Ultimate Editions. The prequel is called Year of the Black Rainbow
Still hits hard when I see Josh and Mic in the chair, then when Claudio looks back, they're gone. Luckily we got Josh back, but man...that scene. Prophetic.
This album got me through a deployment in Iraq in 04. Got to see them in Austin almost 20 years later and when this song came on all I could do is bang my head while tears came streaming down my face thinking of a time when I was just a kid in the desert at war with my brothers. C&C’s music has gotten a lot of folks through the best of times and the worst of times. I’m thankful they are still rocking out and thankful to all my fellow fans for supporting such a great band. -live long and prosper 🖖
my friend kayleigh introduced this band to me when we were younger... she passed away recently. I'll always think of her when I listen to coheed and cambria
Saw this on MTV in like 2004 when I got home from school. Didn't find Coheed and Cambria again till about 2005-6. Still one of my favorite bands of all time.
I remember when I was in the US Navy on deployment in the Persian Gulf. I had bought a PSP and this song along with 3Days grace (I hate everything about you) got me through the deployment. My girlfriend and I had just broken up before deployment. I look back on it now and get on my knees and thank God almighty I did not end up with this woman. The music got me through and always makes me smile.
I remember getting ready for school watching MTV and this video came on. It was a nice lil break from the rap music. I also loved 28 days later so this music video was hype for me. 💯💯💯
How long ago was that! I happened upon a music video and I recognized the guy with curly hair, then a feeling of nostalgia came on. I remembered this video, but had to look up "Coheed and Cambria zombies" and I found it.
I met Claudio at one of the warped tours. The dude surprised me when he said what's up at the C&C tent. His talking voice was real deep. Haha I was like wth? Pretty broad vocal range, I guess?
He gave his position away by singing the whole time, and then when he had one stunned from an arrow to the chest, he just gave up to sing some more. lmao dammit Claudio
Lmao! At least he survived a lot longer than I would have. My lazy ass would have put up one little piece that of that fence, thought about how much more work I had to do and would have just said "F##k it, not worth it. Just eat me".
I also came here from the PSP Disc that came with the system. 10+ years later, and I'm so glad they turned me onto this band. What a classic song. As a kid, the video scared me, As an adult, I think I'm starting to understand the meaning.
Man I'm so glad I got that PSP with the demo disc with these guys on it. First song I heard from them. His voice was strange to me at first. But it grew on me very quickly. Now one of my favorite bands. Just saw them live for the first time in New Orleans! They killed it!
August 29th 2024, Middletown New York here. I had a weird day and its 9pm and somehow I ended up on this music video. A weird memory of back in the day at the storage lockers in my town.. Still love this song after all these years, damn!
I have the most vivid memory of me and two of my older brothers squished together in front of the family computer in our thick winter coats watching this video before we had to leave for school. It had snowed pretty bad the night before, so we had a two hour delay and we were just dilly dallying on the computer. My brothers are 10 and 6 years older than me, and I'm soon to be 20, so I was pretty little when they showed me this video, but I can still remember the looks on their faces as they showed it to me. You could totally tell that they were both thinking, "this is the coolest thing ever", and it was (and still is!). I had a full-circle moment a few moths ago when I showed it to my unimpressed friend, and I had the same expression on my face as my brothers did some time in 2011. I don't know if they even remember showing me this video, and I don't think they'll ever understand how much it means to me. Whenever i need a bit of comfort, I put this video on and suddenly I'm not so scared anymore, because I know I have my brothers by my side.
KIDS NOW A DAYS WONT UNDERSTAND WHAT WATCHING THIS VIDEO ON A PSP WAS LIKE! WE FELT LIKE WE HAD THE FUTURE IN OUR HANDS AND IT WAS SO CLEAR DAMN TIMES WERE SO COOL......
Yes I have a PSP story: I've been trying to find this song ever since, why is Google just now deciding to lend the hand that I've needed for so long!?? It pops into my head every now and then, often actually.
I remember finding this PSP when I got a new coheed and Cambrian for Christmas. PSP wrote some really cool songs. Also, I’d rather play a coheed and Cambria gaming system than Nintendo.
So trippy to think i was a child when this came out and now im a grown man, this song and videos bring so many memories, Coheed will always be my favorite band
I stumbled on this epic song by accident. I was new to MySpace, UA-cam and music. I fell in love with Taking Back Sunday first and the rest followed...Claudio of Coheed and Cambria and all this generation represented..
On 9/7/24, I experienced Coheed live and will never forget being in the bathroom when this song began. The concert at the Toyota Music Factory was unforgettable, especially when a plane, landing at DFW, flew directly overhead such a surreal experience. legendary band
I may have missed out on the PSP UMD. But when I was maybe 6 my dad used to listen to Coheed and Cambria. All. The. Time. I’m now 14 and went to my first concert for them this month. Where have the times gone.
I knew about coheed when I was a wee lad, got a psp for Christmas and I saw them on this video on the psp and was like “huh.. small world” little did I know this was gunna be a stamp in my child hood. Who would of thought.
And honestly, I didn't even know about Coheed and Cambria, Danny from Game Grumps talks highly of them and I can see why. Thanks PSP, you just brought me to some great music.
I dunno if ya'll are out there. But this video was my introduction to Coheed and it was via a PSP media demo disc. This and Klub Foot stuck in my brain forever because of that weird little niche of a gaming device
My brother has all the discs and would always play them when I was growing up. One day he borrowed my iPod and gave it back a week later with a bunch of Coheed and Cambria music and I've never forgotten this amazing band
Dude. I saw this for the first time on my friend's PSP the year is came out. OMG how time frickin' flies. I'm literally reading The Amory Wars right now, too. lmfao
& lo sigo diciendo JAMAS olvidare el primer dia que escuche esta cancion en el UMD de mi primer PSP por alla en el año 2006 :') pinche infancia mas padre que tuve caray
It’s so fun returning to these old music videos of the band when nearly 20 years later they’re releasing new videos like disappearing act and seeing how much everyone has changed over the years!
This is one of the best zombie songs ive ever heard. Such a sad story about a guy losing his family and friends and spilling his heart out to why it is all happening and if there was something that he did that led him to this moment of anguish
The first time I heard this band it was on the movie trailer for “9” the sound of the guitar stuck with me forever, then one day I was listening to random coheed songs and “welcome home” came on. So I went back and watched the trailer and sure enough it was the same song. I knew c&c was my favorite band before I even knew who they were
The nostalgia! Brings back so many memories 😭 I was 15 and with my first check from my summer job I bought a PSP, ratchet and clank along with resident evil apocalypse. Simple times
DAMN THIS REMINDS ME OF MY SENIOR YEAR 2005 WHAT FLASHBACKS THIS GIVES ME! FEELS LIKE I WAS JUST IN HIGH SCHOOL YESTERDAY! SO MANY MEMORIES THE GOOD PARTY DAYS WITH THIS SONG DAMN HOW I REGRET WANTING TO GROW UP 😂
Simpler times idk what age i was but still in elementary school and was at a store and saw this psp asked my dad if I could have it and without hesitation he bought it for me. This was right before my family's hardship and financial troubles so I was so lucky growing up to have a psp growing up 😢 this song always brings back memories and nostalgia from before i was even a teenager. This was my go too song when i was younger ive commented this on multiple psp demo videos 😢😂
Man.... this song and Number City brings back so many memories... I loved the music video when I was 4-5 and they will always be my favorite songs by Coheed
I lost everything I had in Hurricane Katrina when I was 16. My mom got me a PSP with the first insurance check so I would have something to keep me entertained while living with my grandpaw. This song was on the demo disc and I listened to it over and over again. This one song got me through one of the hardest times in my life.
Bump for another listen
i had the same demo disc and this is the song that i would listen to all the time
BRO FOREAL
coming here in 2019 to comment that I too had the PSP demo disc that had this song on it! second stage is their best album. Check it out pimp
Haha I was already a fan when I got my PSP in 2006 but was pleasantly surprised. They’re still going strong, actually big enough to have their own cruise festivals.
Wait until he hears there's a whole comic series behind it all. The Amory Wars I believe it's called.
Finally I got to sing in the story of breaking benjammies
God, I wish I could start playing on my launch day PSP again, but now I'm just always so worried about the battery expanding and bursting open...
First heard this song when i was 11 in 2003. Being a black kid growing up in Maryland, i wasn't like all the others around me. Others looked at me weird because i didn't act black. (Spent the early years in VA)

This brought me back to a time in my life when I didn’t even know what “stress” felt like...
Pat beautifully said bro. That’s exactly how I feel too
SAME 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Celebrating life is huge. Played this song at my best friend’s funeral. I know she was jamming with me. She loved Coheed & Cambria.
Sorry for your loss bud, I hope this song brings you back to the better days with her.
I'm sorry for your loss. I also say what Daniel Sobel said, I hope it makes you relive those great moments.
I feel you. So sorry for your loss.

I was looking for this comment. I thought the same thing. So lucky to have Josh back! Definitely part of the soul of this band.
Those first 3 albums were the best because of Mic
This album got me through a deployment in Iraq in 04. You made it. I'm glad :)
0:31 I never realized that Claudio is nailing to the rhythm of the song.
I met Claudio at one of the warped tours. The dude surprised me when he said what's up at the C&C tent. His talking voice was real deep. Haha I was like wth? Pretty broad vocal range, I guess?
PSP UMD in 2005. What a beautiful time, now we have the touch screen but PSP never fades away.
He gave his position away by singing the whole time, and then when he had one stunned from an arrow to the chest, he just gave up to sing some more. lmao dammit Claudio
Lmao
Lol like he could've batted them at least with his bat when they're inside.

I found this song because of my dad about 8 years ago and he died recently so this brings back alot of memories and I'm still just a little kid so yea
Fun fact: This music video was directed by Marc Webb, the same Marc Webb who is directing the Amazing Spider Man movies.
And 500 days of summer
Thank you!
This video was better than those movies.
Mugen he should stick to music videos

Is this an AI generated comment? Lmao
This video is proof Claudio is a time traveler and was giving us his Let’s Play 2020 video diaries. Like fools, we didn’t listen.
This came out around the time 28 days later did. That was the inspiration.
Love these guys! Talked to the lead singer in a Yahoo chat room back in the day. Played a song for me and fell in love. Awesome music
Damn that's somethin
I've literally be looking for this song for more than 10 years. I finally found the band but couldn't find the song till now. This is crazy nostalgia
On 9/7/24, I experienced Coheed live and will never forget being in the bathroom when this song began. The concert at the Toyota Music Factory was unforgettable, especially when a plane, landing at DFW, flew directly overhead such a surreal experience. legendary band

I knew about coheed when I was a wee lad, got a psp for Christmas and I saw them on this video on the psp and was like “huh.. small world” little did I know this was gunna be a stamp in my child hood. Who would of thought.
Coheed was the first band I ever saw live that wasn't church related lol, also my first mosh pit. I love this band more than words can convey.
Oh man. The mosh pits 💙
I've always had a soft spot in my heart for really catchy songs. Love this along with their "heavier" stuff.
I remember my Dad had a PSP and had this on it.
Video used to freak the shit out of me.

SpiritSnake1 thats what brought me here.
this is so fucked to think someone's dad had a PSP... i'm old
And honestly, I didn't even know about Coheed and Cambria, Danny from Game Grumps talks highly of them and I can see why.
Thanks PSP, you just brought me to some great music.
I love all the responses to this video... I’m glad I’m not the only one that came across it as I did. Big time fan.
If you've never seen Coheed and Cambria live you must do it.
I did earlier today and this song wasn’t on the set list 😢
One of the best songs of all time by one of the best bands of this era.
I dunno if ya'll are out there. But this video was my introduction to Coheed and it was via a PSP media demo disc. This and Klub Foot stuck in my brain forever because of that weird little niche of a gaming device
Josh Eppard and Mic Todd in one scene is beautiful.
This video scared the shit outta me when I saw it for the first time.
come on man don't tell people
read his comics bud read his books
Love, love C&C.
LOVE how he sings "deserve".
I look forward to those parts every time...and I can't seem to replicate it.
So awesome!
My boyfriend put me on this dope ass song. ❤️😭😂 and now, hear I am, playing it every chance I get. The music video nice asf. 👌🏾😌
The song got stuck in my head when I was a little kid on the psp ☺️
After all these years finally finding this feels like striking gold
2:43 seared in my memory forever
😢❤ remember watching this on mtv before school at my Granma’s . Bring back high school
I know... take me back.
It's a bitter sweet video. Claudio is all alone missing his friends and they come back to kill him so they can all be zombie friends.
*Zombie werewolf.
Roger Sierra thats right
Mic and Josh on the porch... Then they disappear. Got bitten by a nasty bug now they're zombies. Super relevant.
Roger Sierra i gotta say It's quite romantic
The beginning is end of the the beginning of the end of the beginning, again.
My brother has all the discs and would always play them when I was growing up. One day he borrowed my iPod and gave it back a week later with a bunch of Coheed and Cambria music and I've never forgotten this amazing band
My UMD In My Psp Old Good Memories ;_;
Still Remember And Nothing More Good Times 2005 My Respect
Coheed and Cambria & Psp = Nice Chilhood
I wonder how many fans Coheed gained via that PSP demo disc. I was one for starters!
Omg, I want that!

+Dakota Cabana Same!! God bless PSP for introducing me to Three Days Grace
+Zeke Witthaus holy shit it's all coming back to me now
It’s so fun returning to these old music videos of the band when nearly 20 years later they’re releasing new videos like disappearing act and seeing how much everyone has changed over the years!
Not here from a psp, my parents had every single albumb c&c ever made 😂 grew up on this
Makayla Baker Same dude
Bruh you have cool parents
This is one of the best zombie songs ive ever heard. Such a sad story about a guy losing his family and friends and spilling his heart out to why it is all happening and if there was something that he did that led him to this moment of anguish
theyre actually aliens attacking him
The first time I heard this band it was on the movie trailer for “9” the sound of the guitar stuck with me forever, then one day I was listening to random coheed songs and “welcome home” came on. So I went back and watched the trailer and sure enough it was the same song. I knew c&c was my favorite band before I even knew who they were
Amo vocês!
Heard this for the first time on Fuse when I was 14/15. I'm turning 33 in a few weeks. Damn how time flies.
I’m 3 years younger than you and I’m having the exact same experience. Listening to these old Coheed songs feeling like I’m 13 again
I'm 32 & I feel this!!
Yes it's crazy. One day you're 13 the next you have arthritis and pay taxes. What the hell happened 😭🤣
same exact situation dude, was in about 9th grade when I first heard it...32 now. Man lifes a trp
YES!! fuse was the shit for a couple years. no one remembers
That’s quite the soft alternative rock music I’ve ever heard. I have got to give it a ten stars.
The nostalgia! Brings back so many memories 😭 I was 15 and with my first check from my summer job I bought a PSP, ratchet and clank along with resident evil apocalypse. Simple times
Take me back
DAMN THIS REMINDS ME OF MY SENIOR YEAR 2005 WHAT FLASHBACKS THIS GIVES ME! FEELS LIKE I WAS JUST IN HIGH SCHOOL YESTERDAY! SO MANY MEMORIES THE GOOD PARTY DAYS WITH THIS SONG DAMN HOW I REGRET WANTING TO GROW UP 😂
Y’all making me nostalgic as fuck. 07 here.
This was the first Coheed and Cambria song I listened to and the only one I ever really liked.
Still come back to this song when I wanna smile about simple times.
