The nurse at my doctors office said it was so hot her wig started slipping off. In my opinion, it’s too hot for wigs. But I just minded my own business and didn’t say anything.

I had a job interview today. Walking from the drug store to the building, I had my umbrella up because the sun! The SUN!! No clouds, just SUN!! I had washed my hands in the bathroom, and there were no paper towels, so I dried my hands on the lower part of my pants. Guess what was dry before I got to my job interview!

Good luck! I always carry clean tissues or napkins to wipe my hands on (after washing them) in my purse. Wet ones and hand sanitizer too because some bathrooms don't have everything.
When you said “It’s 102 degrees outside… how many degrees do you need?”. I immediately remembered when I was complaining this winter when we only had 2 degrees. I told my southern friends that they should let me borrow like 10 degrees. Cause y’all was in the double digits. They wouldn’t let me hold nothin though! They was being stingy 🤦🏾♀️

My poor dog, wanted to go for a long walk... I tried to deter him, but he trotted his little chocolate self on down the road. We're on the way back home, cause I'm melting and we had to wait to cross the street. Homeboy was marching in place because the asphalt was so hot!!!! LOL As soon as the cars past, we ran across the street and this dog stood in the shaded grass to collect himself before we zoomed down the street home! Even the pets don't want to be out! Mind you, this dog has special "socks" to wear when it's hot to protect his pads, but NOOOOOO... he wanted to act like he "new" and not want them on! He learned today why he needed them! Brought himself right on in and sat on his cooling pad and fell the heck out! Yes sis...it's too hot!

I am from Mississippi and I laughed so loud when you said “the house was wavy “ as we saw that all the time growing up but it was our norm because once you left the house you wasn’t coming back in.. we as children were able to figure out where the good shade spots were and got in them. It’s amazing the things we grew up with that was our norm that now as an adult I wouldn’t willingly deal with.

Over in Arizona, they have been getting temps of up to 118 degrees. It's so hot, people are getting 3rd degree burns from the PAVEMENT in Phoenix. If they fall or sit down, the pavement is so hot, it's burning folks!
In Vegas, on a day when it was about 110 degrees. An older gentleman waiting for the bus started to overheat, so he sat down on the sidewalk while he waited and ended up getting burned through his jeans!

I'm in Georgia, and I have Informed Delivery with USPS. So I get an email everyday showing what I got. The mail stays outside unless it's important. Even then, I too wait until the sun has gone down to get it. 🤣

I usually joke that I'm a lizard at heart because i can run a heater in summer because I stay cold. And i live in the south. I've ordered some moisture wicking tshirts and linen shorts because it's so hot that I'm about to die in this heat.
Here's how I know things are funky: I've been living in Los Angeles since 1976. Southern California. Sun and surfboards, beaches and bikinis. SPF 50. All things Southern California for 46 years. Then, we get to 2023. I realized things were off when Los Angeles (specifically, the San Fernando Valley, which is one of the hottest parts of Los Angeles) didn't have a day in the 90's until *June 30th.* We went the first _SIX MONTHS_ of the year straight where I had to use a blanket at night! Has never happened since I've been here. Don't get me wrong...I love the cold. I was born in New York, so I miss my seasons. The first six months of this year were heaven for me...but was it really just a foreshadower of impending evil? Time will tell...
