I just went back playing d2, created a zeal pal. Still low level but this is exactly what I intend to do, make it through hell with all the junks I can piece together. Nice vid man, love it.
Good luck!
I have just returned to playing D2, 20 years after having first played it and 15 years after having last played it. This is actually what I was looking for. No ladder, no infinity, no grief, etc.Things you can attain in SSF play. Keep it up!
Just install plugy
Infinity, Grief etc are very much attainable on SSF. Infinity takes about 10-20hrs of LK runs.
@@erikmalmberg1295 I'm a hardcore D2 player and I'd rather stab my nuts than do 20 hours of LK.
@@roejogan5212 well damn lol 😂
Sacrifice synergy provides a greater damage increase than zeal itself. I would max sac and limit zeal if anything
A couple skillpoints worth of AR bonus from zeal (given your rocking 4.5k)can be matched by a single charm. Maybe two
Bugged out blessed aim merc could easily make up the difference
great video Dbrunski ! I didnt think you would make it through the chaos sanctuary to be honest !! Glad to see you shredding all those demons with this (very low) budget zealer :)
Trivia for those interested :
Have you played what i consider the best days/version/era of Diablo 2 ? If so, what color was Arreat's face in this era ? :)
Nice build, gz.
All I do is find hoz on my map variations. 3 so far. Still not butcher's pupil lol Also, 5 reapers tolls, one ethereal.
Infernostride might help to deal with fire damage
This is by no mean what I would call "budget" bahhaha
You know it’s a good video when you been playing this game since 2001 and watch a 24 min budget build video , lol! Awesome video buddy!
I'd max sacrifice before defiance. You'll feel the damage increase much more than defense. Consider lacerator on switch for more reliable source of amp... Not that hard to find. Also, you want to get your life steal above 10% on a zealer for survivability, consider crescent moon as ammy and replace the mana leech ring with dwarf star to survive fire attacks, or a second raven frost for AR.
Lacerator might outperform upped Butchers.
I found a demons Arch with 12 life leech and the elemental damage is nothing to frown at. Repairs itself too!
Lacerator is far from budged, you dumbass!
Really Lacerator “not hard to find”. Started my PlugY in February this year. Been playing consistently with several magic find builds. Found only 2 of them in 5 months. Law Bringer much easier to obtain and also excellent way of dealing with PI monsters.
Finally a zealot! My first character:) First one;)
Mine 2 !
same here :)
the first one I ever beat the game with. but my heart will always lie with the necromancer.
My first one was messed up. First ever was Barb in demo. In full game I got paladin with thorn aura, redemption and vengeance. Zealot was probably my second character, when I learned a little bit about game, but still messed up probably. :D It was great times, when you could'nt re-make your character with Atma.
I still have the save files for my Diablo 2 release day zealot.
It's crazy he's almost 20 years old now, I should probably farm him a birthday present
Just remembering the time, when running CS with a melee-char was kinda suicide mission.
and do you remember iron maiden curse, before they withdrawn it? ^^
@@maegeaR multi lightning in act 5>iron maiden before both were romoved hehe
@@maegeaR I used to never understand why I was dying so easy in CS before realizing iron maiden existed
Iron Maiden in CS and at Baal was great fun! I actually miss it.
Iron Maiden days, never forget. Harsh era.
I'm a simple man, I wake up, see a Dbrunski125 video and then delay my day until after I watch it, keep up the great content man!
Lawbringer pb for immunes would be cheap and op. I've actually used it as a primary to get a smiter through hell. It would free your amulet slot while reducing your mercenary reliance as well. Nice video.
Real world character. Very useful for those of us that don't do d2 for a living
For my p8 solo zealer i ended up picking up a 4 socket eth small crescent on the way to countess and made the oath runeword, it was a really big pickup. Id consider thundergods vigor for the big lightning absorb and also dwarfstar as suggested by some others. Demon limb on switch for high lvl enchant?
I remember old Times with the iron maiden debuff in cs^^
Getting IM in the middle of a whirlwind was always fun! :D
A friend was running me through it in Softcore (i think on Nightmare) with his lvl98 Zealer and lost about a month's xp to that
I just completed hell on my singleplayer zealer. I put 5 points in sanctuary because it's great CC and it breaks physical immunity on undead. The vast majority of the PI monsters are undead so it was almost never an issue.
Can also do lawbringer in a fast base. 3 os phase is not too bad to find, plus you can cube recipe normal ones. Even just on a cs or dbalde to then switch back to your choice of weapons. It also gives decrepify procs, with a decent chance considering how often you hit.
What's your take on Aldur wep as a budget choice?
It's OK I loaded it with + Max Damage jewels
9:04 The indestructible effect is useful since zeal will take a lot of durability from your weapon, thus you spend more gold and the weapon could break while fighting, So indestructible is indeed useful.
You know youve spent too much time playing this game when his god tier items are your budget items lol
You want a real challenge play reg d2 in classic mode , no expansion lol
Personally i like holy shock for budget zealing purposes - crescent moon pb is super powerful and cheap.
Liked it before it loaded up. Please don't stop making these shorter vids Db, i don't have the bandwidth to watch the stream for long unfortunately, so i really appreciate these. Looking at the comments i would love to see budget builds and more ironman/self found style gaming. A lot of us play single player or with friends like this. Thanks.
Started ladder the other day, and at lvl 73 on my way to unlocking hell Meph in the Durance of Hate on my sorc, i dropped a Ber rune, i couldn't effin believe it!
Still never dropped a Gheed's or SoJ........my Diablo 2 nemesis.
Hey Dbruski. Watching all your videos again as I am so hyped for resurected! I will probably level a paladin with my pals and play sorc solo. Is there any actual reason to play zealot when I have a functional MF bliz sorc? Or should I respec my pala to become a smiter once I hit endgame?
can you do concentrate barb ? not only budget
Zealer is my favourite, used to play GM ZVZ duels. I like playing budget builds in walk throughs. Still have a pro zealer on an account somewhere.
Sanctuary is nice cause the 20dex eases your block chance req so you can put more in vit.
Once you can make a grief - stuff melts! 👍
Privet! Thanks for great video bro. I think you could save your Merc at last if you move a little bit up and Diablo change direction of his fire so Merc can goon stab his back :)
Don’t underestimate smoke (nef lum) body armour as well. I’m using it on my zealer and goddamn it’s awesome, I prefer it over my fortitude actually and helps me farm the shit outta act 3-5 no issues at player 3 setting. Sp self found gear on plugy for the people who may question.
Trevor r I’m kinda confused here. Isn’t fort far superior than smoke?
Can't you buy Blue Magic Wands from Vendors that have Decrepify or Amplify Damage Charges on them? You could put that on your Switch Set easily.
amplify charges is a 1.08 item decrepify is still spawnable i think though,
@@tonytyla8786 decrepify charge wands have never existed
Life Tap and Lower Resistance only, but no amp or decrep, sadly.
classic.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/magic/chargedsuffixes.shtml
Lawbringer on switch for physical immunes with the Decrepify proc works like a charm. Azurewrath too in the same vein with high elemental damage instead
i think making a character using no runewords like .08 days would be really neat to see. using classic gear like templar's might, grandfather, etc..
Templars might is a 1.10 and later item
@@chrisp2757 what I am getting at is using gear that has since been replaced with runewords but at one time was elite. I aware that alot of good gear is post 08
Are you referring to GAngel? Because Templars Might didn’t exist in .08
You could say TMight is budget because nobody use it, but it’s unique sacred armor. Doesn’t drop every day.
There is still a non-expansion ladder. Just play on hardcore ladder non-expansion and you will find all sorts of cool old school stuff.
drop the pupil in favor of a lawbringer runeword. get a decrep proc, sanc aura and some other awesome goodies too. Can then switch out the atma's for something a bit more budget.
nice build, really like the budget videos. the upped butchers and paly sanctuary are pretty clutch, nice use of the atmas as well. another even more budget option for shield would be a paly rhyme if a mal isn't found soon enough. im a huge fan of duress on melee too :D
im wondering how you got enough str to use the non eth bonehew on your merc... i usually need to buff his str with another piece of equipment or blow a hel rune in one of the bonehew sockets to achieve this.
to get around a little quicker without enigma, you could use a harmony on switch or spec into vigor for a couple points.
budget but powerful :D
i agree with u not taking Highlord and HoZ,
maybe if u take on physical imune Dragonshield-Tiamat+ Pb-Lightsaber could be an idea? Since u hit often, PB =no dura, and a lot of magic dmg (even a bit from the shield), we could even use 1 Larzuk q on the shield for a PDia for some res, just a quick tought of mine :D
Still nice vid i never had a zealot, still a Char i want to try
Great choice for budget! Without any charms or attributes in inv! You make good very interesting vids! Thx!!!!
Budget Bowzon!!
Okie Dokie no such thing
Hi Debrunski, the "caster classes" such as Javas, Trapsin, Hammerdin and so on are quite easy to budget build. With Lore, Vipermagi, Spirit to name only a few powerfull items for very strong builds. So i would like to see you making budget Bowazon. Great video. I totally love your work. GL to your holy grail project. I am missing 13 Items, including tyreals....
I was using an upped headstriker which was good on players 2 up until about act 5 when the damage fell off. Couldn't find a deaths pupil to up but I can see the damage is significatly better. I also use pally spirit since those aren't too hard to find. Spirit is so much cheaper than sanctuary and I don't feel like you get a ton for the increased rune cost.. I never thought about using treachery on the merc, i like that one for the IAS will need to try it. But for merc weapon I usually just have a ton of non eth insights laying around, and they do fine. Sweet video though. I know the Act 2 merc is the standard, but have you ever tried a zealer build with an Act 1 merc? Curious to see if that works.
Used to play d2 when it was released. Started to play again week ago. Zeal palladin.
Got gloves and a sash. I'll keep on working. :)
Hello i need some help here, is there a counter to count my runs for me? Please help im losing my mind counting by my self 😁
Why count? Just go for it
You can do it with a timer bro... if you know the average time of a single run
First world Jimmy dislikes budget builds
Some bow and maybe assassins builds :)
Bowzon is a good idea
Bowzone or martial art's assassin would be great.
Actually ran a zealer back in the day and, with Resurrected coming in a couple of days, I'm glad you made this video. The thing I like about it is the versatility. You have a great approach to items but you can play jazz with it, which is why I liked the class and the direction of zeal vs other things. It's fun and challenging and I look forward to playing it again soon.
Is it able to at least clear ACT 5 as Well?
I feel like you could have gotten away with throwing a pul in the helmet and an eth in the weapon but good build anyway.
"Budget"...wtf? I'm looking for budget not upped, runeword items, etc. Guess, I need a budget budget build. Down voted.
The build is cool, but idk why would you build sanctuary for paladin... A good base and a mal rune I think is more expensive than Zaka itself. Also non eth reaper's toll is not that expensive, and a lot better than trash bonehew, even obedience is better. Then for amu you could go for sth like highlord's or angelic and of course weapon is really trash really I would not ever consider it. Something like crescent moon I think would outperform it if you can't afford stormlash or schaefer's
Atmas is legit best in slot for most PVM melee builds and no one ever talks about it. For the zealer its pretty mandatory because the merc often gets left behind/distracted/stuck/placed in strange places when charging so relying on him to break physical immunes is garbage.
"Heaven's Light" Mighty Scepter is pretty damn good.
I really hope in D2R they make it so single player can use ladder items. Single player has really been growing on me since I downloaded plugy.
now u can
Castraints? Restrictions maybe? restraints maybe? Huh, learned a new word today hahaha 😂
Oh another question for you, have you ever used Stormlash on Zealer? Looks cool, but is super difficult to find. Wonder how the damage stacks up against other zealer weapons.
I still cant find laying of hands gloves and raven frost. Yet rarer shit like steel rends. Arachs. Windforce. Even a sur rune i found. Lol
My biggest complaint in this video is ur weapons are on slot 2 and not 1 and your inventory is backwards from the way it ought to be.
I know it’s an old vid, but I am using the fetid sprinkler. Sick leveling weap
Gore rider doesn’t seem budget to me, I think I would use something like goblin toes to replace it thus making it more budget
Just an idea hear for your basis of "budget": I'm a new player of Diablo 2. I'm playing single player with plugy. My first toon was a zealer. I got through normal and nighmare without issue, but I can't really progress in Hell. I can't twink my toon because I've never finished hell. I ended up making a summon necro and I'm currently at Act II hell. I think a good basis for "budget" might be a hell viable toon using gear attainable by farming nightmare. If that is even possible. I've been farming Andariel (hell) trying to gear up my necro, but as a farming toon he's very slow. At this point I'm not sure I could really farm Act III or even get through IV and V. For now I'm satisfied because it's slow or no. Anyway, I do truly enjoy your videos and thanks for all the content!!
Such a miserable char, it would be better to not play pally but summon necro or sorc on such low budget xD
budget gear:D just my gear but i got grief and dracula grasps. and iam playing alot :/
Now do a good zealer build😁 You should compare budget to a good setup
No comparison on ladder at least. Grief is the best weapon for a zealer, period.
Sir where to find those items im in hell mode for sc and i keep on dying. Please help
i have the same problem. dont want to use my respec in nightmare to go hammerdin for grinding out hell
do more budget guides, some people dont or cant do thousands of runs for high runes.
Whats butchers pupil compared to lightsabre?
are you playing you videos on mode battlenet????}
Nobody likes vamp gaze huh?
I'm running a frenzy Barbar at the moment, and now I'm rethinking life..
Nice budget example for sure.
I hit a wall on hell act 2 with barb
I can prolly still keep going but it's too easy to die. I got draculs, areats face, some orange armour that I cannot remember. IK gloves, IK belt, 2 baranas stars or whatever they are called. raven frost and another 100+ attac rating ring with resists and i think mana leach or life leach. hmmm bootsI dont remember what I'm using. prolly war travelers. Resists is the name of the game. too easy to die to elemental.
Anyway, lightning archers from harem fuck me up, as well as ghosts from arcane sanctuary just because they fuck up my mana and are phys immune. for them i have IK maul on switch and that skill that transforms phys to magic damage
Budget lighting sorceress would be interesting
Impossible without infinity
Yea gonna have to agree. Budget light doesnt exist. Budget cold is good tho.
It feels like you need to wear that Tal mask on the Pally
Zealer is a classic, first Ill go mf sorc to farm my Zealer
Just found an azurewrath... Can I fit this in the build or nah? Seems underwhelming or a weapon. Over my 17+ years of Diablo 2, I've never used it. O_o For zealer perhaps? idk...
i feel cleansing aura is a must when facing strong monsters on a budget build
I agree, you see it in the gameplay. I get a little annoyed when he ignores all the one point wonder skills (cleansing, vigor, redemption, salvation, etc.). Sparing a few points from defiance or fanaticism won't kill the build.
cleansing is excellent to wear off all those annoying amplify damage curses and cure from agresive poisons like radamanthis or Andariel by a little moment
How about A5 merc lawbringer for budget , instead of running atma's you could run pretty much everything else there
My budget Zealot:
Vamp Gaze
Gloom AP
Verdungo
Gore Rider/Goblin Toe
RavenFrost/BloodRing
BloodAmulet/Gloves
Sanctuary KurastShield
Weapons: LightSaber, Uppd HeadStriker+Shael,
Crescent Moon, Uppd Butchers Pupil, Razors Edge, RuneMaster,KingSlayer....
Alot of decent options for this guy
Well I think a ed% Shield would be better
Omg master, how are you such a great gamer when you have to look at the numbesr on the keyboard before pressing them... should've learned them by now!! :))
You should have socketed the weapon with a Shael and helm with a plain 15 IAS jewel because with that setup, you have plenty of FHR. A Shael and 15 IAS jewel are also cheap. You can keep a Spirit sword and shield on switch for a Holy Shield buff. You could also use a different mercenary like the one in Act 5. You can make a Lawbringer in a legend sword to have a nice Decrepify proc plus it's cheap to make. The Act 5 mercenary will have good attack speed paired with the Treachery and Tal Rasha's helm with a 15 IAS jewel socketed. Those three sockets would use up all the quests but would be worth it since the build isn't expensive. The only thing you would need to change is your current amulet since you can only have one of the two curses proc'd. A nice unique amulet to replace Atma's would be The Cat's Eye. You could also keep the Act 2 mercenary and use a Lawbringer phase blade.
can you make a godly zealer build?
Great video I'm basically running the same in Resurrected returning after 15 years, whatever I can pick up. So far the best item I picked up was a Ward shield (47 all Res) lvl 32 normal. Wouldn't one point in vengeance help with the physical immunes?
What would you socket on Butchers Pupil? And have you considered Fleshrender? It's basically the same weapon, little less DS, but 20CB. Little slow but a sheal woulf do it I guess?
I been thinking about making a zealer cus I found some pretty dope weapons but idk if they are even good for zealer cus I never really played zealer ^^ Do u think Azurewrath/Death Cleaver is good zealer wep? If yes wich one do u think would be better? probly death cleaver if I can break phys immunes I guess? Also do u think this rare circlet would be better then a G-face? imgur.com/wqqmkkS
try to play Diablo 2 Median XL i will be really interested to see you how creative builds you can make there :D !! and have fun !!
I have a question. Whenever I see guides people always mention max block when it comes to dex. How is it with attack raring? Is that not a factor to take into account? Or does it simply solve itself before reaching max block? Thanks
I dunno about the upped butchers pupil. For lower runes you could make a Lawbringer which is better in every way. You dont even need to hunt for a good base, just pop it in a mythical sword. Crescent Moon is also only slightly more expensive.
Nice video! I like your "budget stuff" videos, really useful. Keep it up man!
PS. What is necessary to do as cold sorceress to defeat Uber Diablo clone when it spawns? I simply can't stop his regeneration, and mercenary can't stand 2 seconds before it...
Veljko Jankovic what you want to do is max blizzard and cold mastery, and use marrowwalk for life tap for keeping your merc alive, while also keeping him out of the way of firestorm, other than that, oh wait also try put a weapon that does poison damage or pmh on your merc, other than that just don’t die and you should kill him
@@starhunter2770 Thanks man! I am currently lvl 85, not so rich with items, what I think that I can afford in this moment is Reaper Tool+Treachery+Guillaume's Face for mercenary. Is that ok, or should I look for something else? And just to ask beside, I heard that cold mastery has some limit above which its useless to spend ability points on it? Do you have any info about that?
Veljko Jankovic when using cold mastery there is a recommenced limit which would in most cases be lvl 17 I think for -100%. Since dclone has around 90 all res, and I’m assuming you don’t have infinity, you want to bring that down as much as you can hence maxing cold mastery. When it comes to your merc, I would recommend insight for the weapon as it is very cheap and does poison damage. If you still can’t seem to beat him then an easy way to get your anni is seal trick him in CS,
@@starhunter2770 Big thanks man, that CS trick is crazy! :) Now only to learn how to spawn Uber more frequently and I am fine. :)
Veljko Jankovic glad it worked out for you, an easy way to spawn dclone would be leaving Diablo running at night so in the morning when you wake up, he’s probably spawned, I’ve gotten around 5 by doing that
Try budged Trapsin. Rhyme + Smoke + Spirit + lvl 70. Shen is the most budged of all. Lvl 93 pala is not budged, lvl is also important.
Dbrunski, where can I find 3 sox armor to make duress? It it possible to drop it on nightmare? I am barely making it with cows on nightmare. Can it be any kind of grey armor with 3 sox?
wasn't Moser's shield a better budget shield? When I hear Sanctuary runeword, the word "budget" doesn't spring to mind...
Vengeance works amazing even at low level 👌 it's a hell of a skill much like berserk for the barbarian 100% needed for these builds in hell at least a couple of skill points will do it with all the added skills you get.
I once was in a group with a paladin who didn't have an attack animation (just holding sword into mob with perma leech), because it appeared he had such high IAS. Does anyone know how that's possible?
Budget builds in my book basically limetes the items to Nightmare difficulty items. It can be hard to make i through hell on a budget and if you have items like Lay on Hands in there you kinda already priced out any one who is unable to farm hell already.
Good gear choice. But I'd probably use Angelic Amu + 1 ring (at least) for a "budget" build.
Have you tried with grief or oath?? The are many dangerous areas for this build, even the are zombies and demons with physical inmunities that makes them so annoying
Atmas is godly period
I'm confused what the build is used for. You said he does OKAY in hell difficulty, and he would get one shoted in any pvp game because.
I've got the same Butcher Pupil (199%) Small Crescent...
I want to socket it, just not sure what I'd use
I'd love to see a budget frenzy barb build. With something like lawbringer in the offhand and a cheap main hand weapon.
Nice little build and nicely put together gear. The set up would work for any budget melee build obviously I would switch duress for Treachery if I wasn't a pala fanaticism or assassin with burst of speed to keep the attack speed levels up.
Just curious, what is the difference between a Hard point and a Soft point or regular point?
Hard points are the ones you allocate by yourself commiting a skill point by clicking into it, soft points are the ones you get from your equipment, charms etc, for example +1 to all skill points from "the spirit" sword or +1 to paladin skills from the large charms AKA SKILLERS.
I decided to farm some cows for an eth thresher. Idk if I just got lucky, but I got 3 x within 10 runs on p3
What kind of merc
