I had a barb that just followed cow runners. Dual gull daggers and all the other standard high MF gear. All I did was buff the runners and item find the piles of dead cows they left lol.
i tried more variations with the gear but i find your to be the absolute perfect choice, well balanced, doesnt have to be super expensive the block is really helpful for this build wich is not strong by any means thanks alot

I think so , i think downlow Barb is like super OP. My sorc and zon had to just stand back and watch while getting rushed on baal , my barb can join the action and , might nit do much damage , but im not afraid of monsters , like iwould be with a caster class, feels very safe and strong

The Blade of Ali Baba sword (a exceptional falchion and you can dual wield each) is actually pretty neat when it comes for magic finds as it grows in percent strength each character levels. Just make sure to place two Ist runes (or four) on it for even more magic find percent chance and upgrade the sword to a elite version using the Horadric Cube.
nice build, i liked the idea of using rhyme on a budget zerk build being ur source of CNB till you find trangs belt or death belt and the 6 ists(or chammed shaco if end game), those are just better options overall, 6 isted phase blade is 180% extra mf, its just too much compared with the 25% from rhyme. max block however its not interesting, it will just slow down a pit zerker over time. Also there is no reasonable explanation to use ik helmet and boots over shaco and war travs, shaco gives you more Mf, more life, more mana, more mf, +2 skills compared to just +2warcries and a HUGE 10% dmg reduction which is all you want while running pits. i also like to use 1 hoto and 1 isted wizpike on switch with a 2/15 crafted amy or a 2/5 crafted amy+10fcr ring, this way you get 57% hork on switch, also more life/mana from bo

It doesnt double the effect. But theres 3 tiers of items, normal, exceptional and elite. Chance guards are chain gloves so you can use the cube to "up" them twice. Once to heavy bracers base and then again to vambraces base item. I think it just increases level/strength requirements and gives more defense. It wouldnt like double the mf or anything like that
I'm still trying to figure out why Magic Find is important. In D2R, it seems rune words are the most powerful items, and MF doesn't affect rune drops. In fact, high MF seems to make it harder to find the best rune word base items.
@@MrGoldenG00se For amulets, rings, and belts, etc., the best seem to be crafted caster or blood items. These require specific runes, perfect gems, and random jewels. Again MF doesn't seem relevant here. For the few magic items that don't fall into this category (andariel's visage, shako, etc.), I traded some of my runes for these.
Who doesnt like the word hork? What I find more disturbing is you use weapon slot 2 as your primary and weapon switch is slot 1 you do this on all your builds and it drives me crazy :p nice information though man

Why not take one point from find item and put it into shout if with BO you still only have a 55% chance of getting an item? Seems like something small but it gives you more duration on BO and slightly more damage on concentration

hey man, I enjoy watching you as I play diablo 3 to reminisce and see what happened after 1.10 came out. I see the rise of the hammerdin, the … apparently you guys don't gear up in string/stormsheild/shaftstop anymore to get %70+ damage reduction, and in my day armor was literally nothing. I mean same stats, 500 beats 400, but we'd trade ANY amount of armor for just a bit of anything we considered good. Also, skin of the viper magi sucked complete ass because res was very easy to stack for hell without anything like that, which imo has nothing to offer except great res. They changed EVERYTHING when they nerfed the cows. good to see and try to get any idea of it. Also, I LIKE diablo drop videos, especially how you pack 1,000 or 5,000 into one thing. Diablo dropping is my favorite RNG "prize" mechanic and even better to me than hearthstone packs cuz idk it's just better to me. I got a socketed justice lantern in d3 (vanilla... no crusader to use it....) a good set ring, a string of ears (high roll) and a stormshield (VERY low roll. not very good.) lastly, a set wizard offhand that is really, really good considering I also found a 1489 damage ONE hand for lvl 60, which is better than ANYTHING I have found in 400 total hours of play. The 2 hands go up to 1800 with crap stats, that I've found anyway. that is my stuff recently and it's just extremely fun. Diablo 3 is good now , imo. Sort of like diablo 2 single player because there is no trading. I played d3 for 30 hours in 2012, and HATED it. I feel they fixed it.
when everything is cows , the need for res drop. I mean, mine were near max without it. that's where i'm confused, but I can see vipermagi becoming valid, now. I had a friend that used it on his sorc for rushing.... so if the game is taking place far more in the sanctuary vs cow level, that makes sense. i'm not seeing many good uniques that are GOOD. most of the stuff that wasn't out when I played, seems to suck. in fact, out of the 6 videos or so I've watched you only listed stuff post 1.09 from 1.10 or later, a few times. Lastly, they should have keep the items as "unique", not legendary. This is diablo, not world of Warcraft. Just my opinion. I loved wow. I loved wc3. Hell,i loved every... single ….. one. Put hundreds of hours into EVERYTHING except heroes of the storm which got like 30 hours total. Diablo is my favorite I think. LET it be DIABLO, don't pervert it with what made you money elsewhere. Was thinking of trying this build.. but instead of wizspikes, I was gonna try two Gull daggers for extra 200% MF That is if you don't care about casting speed.. could get to 700+ mf that way without using shako cham?
i still prefer mage mfing...with a high end blizz sorc farming the tunnels isnt less efficient....at least not that much .....when u only kill the elite guy there isnt a good chance for runes or socket items (just my opinion) :D
hes not hunting for runes anymore, nor does he ever needs socketable items (i guess). It's solely for uniques to grab these extremaly rare items like Tyrael's or Griffon
You’re talking about some hard to crunch numbers, but I would think that killing the rest of the minion packs would be worth it. Since you’re spending time running/tele through the pits, and as you hork the first corpses, merc can kill the others

Just wanted to point out that there is no point in stacking more than +5 to Light Radius - diablo.wikia.com/wiki/Light_Radius Unfortunately, you can't get any more use out of LR than adding +5, not sure if that would make you want to switch off of your IK 2 piece and put on that Shako, but just wanted to point it out!

There is a command in d2 (player X command) that allows you to change player difficulty. The player setting gives account of how many players are present in one game. It has impact on monsters' hit points, experience gained and drops.

I thought difficulty was just based on the highest level player in the game and how many people were in it and has no idea you could actually adjust that. @@chrisc3825 the pit run is a solo game, and he is saying that there is no change in players difficulty. You could do the run alone, but with player difficulty 8 for example using /player 8 command
Double upping means to "up" the item to a higher base (normal, exceptional, elite) twice. The chance guard gloves are chain gloves, which is a normal item base. The next level up is exceptional which are heavy bracers, and the level above that are vambraces. I believe the cube recipe is ko lem perfect diamond (and the item) to "up" it to the next level. It provides more defense but also has higher requirements as well.
@@blackoutblaze I think the recipe to go from normal to exceptional and exceptional to elite might be different. Then again that might be weapon/armor difference? Either way all the info you need is on arreat summit
I could actually make this character. I just made my first Enigma and Grief yesterday and have wizspikes and I think the rest of the stuff in it. The main issue is I only have enough good mf small charms for one character and I keep those on my sorceress. I guess when I get more charms that would round out the character. Did 3 uber runs last night for the first time and unfortunately got Necro, Amazon and Barb. I guess that isn't too bad, but was hoping for a Sorc torch too. Guess I'll have to farm up more keys.
@@Kouterry I've played single player my whole life. Also I didn't really look up guides or anything growing up so I didn't really know about runewords. Hunted down sets and uniques only really. I remember a barbarian that I kept trying to get the Ik armor to have the full set but never got it. Still haven't dropped it yet, but now I know it's less useful than I once thought. I used to also focus on melee characters and almost never played a Sorc. Really funny how badly I played the game back then. Now I love the sorceress and actually know what I'm doing.
Teleport is such a stupid spell. The animation should be much slower, for all characters. The sorceress should have a slower teleport, too, but not as slow as the others imo. It should only be faster then a good run walk bonus if you can make smart shortcuts, not all the time. The barb has 35% faster run walk from a skill, 40% from boots and there are also armors or hats that give more, and teleport is still the best option. Every build that is used for mf just needs enigma.
Can someone please explain to me what's important about getting 500+ MF? Just more gold? IIRC uniques cap at 200 and Sets cap at 300 MF. So why play while dealing with BS associated with not having an inventory?
For targeting uniques specifically which I said the build is built for players difficulty doesnt matter because your only focusing on champions and bosses because they only drop 1 item no matter what the players setting is. But yea upping the players difficulty decreases the no drop rate on certain monsters which in a backwards way increases your rune chances because they are more likely drop an item versus not dropping an item which does translate to more high runes yes. Again in a backwards way. Depends on what your targeting. For tc 87 uniques only this build is bar none the best imo
Some people think diminishing returns means it takes away the viability. It still adds more mf just becomes less and less impactful as you get over 300~ Also holy crap bud you need to get to the point faster lol.
all this so called d2 expert sites are total b.s the drop of item in the game is totally random there are no specific location where you find gg iems not even the e prime Evies
some bosses have a specific loot table and drop items at a higher rate due to that being the case. it doesn't guarantee you get wat you want but it will make it more likely. for example it may be a 1/3000 chance to get a unique ring from nightmare Baal but that same ring chance could be 1/500 from hell Andarial. So that information even though it is still random will get you what you want if you put the time towards it. because andy drops 5 items its almost garenteed you see a ring in 100 runs where as ball would take 600 runs which is far more time per run to do not to mind six time more runs.
I've seen enough of your videos to say that you should be developing a new, decent, worthy Diablo follow up. Those imbeciles at blizzard fucked up the best game ever released.
It just came to my mind that, since u have the ITD in grief and u dont deal with any act bosses, u dont need the extra AR from the IK boots set bonus. Why not change it with a WT instead for higher MF?
Great guide, enjoyed this a lot. Tell your friends that kept talking about fortitude that they cant use it for pitzerker, it has 20% Chance To Cast Level 15 Chilling Armor when Struck, and it will shatter enemies. Fort is a no-go. Good job on this one.
Perfect build video, can't wait for d2R. Do you have to go into a different build before for normal and nightmare and then switch over to the pitzerker build and gear? I'd probably need to build an mf sorc first I'm assuming for basic gear farming?
Blizz Sorc sadly gonna be 6 out of 8 chars at the beginning because you can bug out and kill Hell-Mephisto with her easily, who drops many of the most important items relatively easy.

There are still a lot of powerful unique items that require mf to be found: like all amulets, belts, gloves, boots, helms, and all jewelry.

No ubers only magic find. This Barb can only fight on pl1 not even pl3. And this Barb can only fight in the Pit, Pindleskin, and Threshsocket.

Only during the attack, but you'll get dinged a few times until you can howl, so not completely useless.

enigma is a 3 socket runeword that is basically the best runeword in game and give's you the teleport ability.

I had a friend that used it on his sorc for rushing.... so if the game is taking place far more in the sanctuary vs cow level, that makes sense. i'm not seeing many good uniques that are GOOD. most of the stuff that wasn't out when I played, seems to suck. in fact, out of the 6 videos or so I've watched you only listed stuff post 1.09 from 1.10 or later, a few times. Lastly, they should have keep the items as "unique", not legendary. This is diablo, not world of Warcraft. Just my opinion. I loved wow. I loved wc3. Hell,i loved every... single ….. one. Put hundreds of hours into EVERYTHING except heroes of the storm which got like 30 hours total. Diablo is my favorite I think. LET it be DIABLO, don't pervert it with what made you money elsewhere. I know it's just what they call the items, but it annoys me , honestly. also, the art style is GREAT to me, but they could have put a few more dead bodies and d00ds hanging on hooks and screaming torture victims and shit. Seriously. I'm not hating super bad like a lot of d2 fans, but I want it to be HARD. diablo isn't supposed to be "rated E for everyone!" like they want it to be to make more money. I KNOW blizzard is mostly good people. I hate activision I know they are the same now but I mean whomsoever isn't a shoehorned activision replacement and has been there for awhile, is a good employee almost certainly.

i still prefer mage mfing...with a high end blizz sorc farming the tunnels isnt less efficient....at least not that much .....when u only kill the elite guy there isnt a good chance for runes or socket items (just my opinion) :D
hes not hunting for runes anymore, nor does he ever needs socketable items (i guess). It's solely for uniques to grab these extremaly rare items like Tyrael's or Griffon

You’re talking about some hard to crunch numbers, but I would think that killing the rest of the minion packs would be worth it. Since you’re spending time running/tele through the pits, and as you hork the first corpses, merc can kill the others

Unfortunately, you can't get any more use out of LR than adding +5, not sure if that would make you want to switch off of your IK 2 piece and put on that Shako, but just wanted to point it out!

What does “farming on player 1’s difficulty” mean?
There is a command in d2 (player X command) that allows you to change player difficulty. The player setting gives account of how many players are present in one game. It has impact on monsters' hit points, experience gained and drops.

Defence has nothing to do with chance to block. Defence makes you outright dodge attack not even block it.

What do you mean when you say 'doubling up' your gloves?
Double upping means to "up" the item to a higher base (normal, exceptional, elite) twice. The chance guard gloves are chain gloves, which is a normal item base. The next level up is exceptional which are heavy bracers, and the level above that are vambraces. I believe the cube recipe is ko lem perfect diamond (and the item) to "up" it to the next level. It provides more defense but also has higher requirements as well.

I could actually make this character. I just made my first Enigma and Grief yesterday and have wizspikes and I think the rest of the stuff in it. The main issue is I only have enough good mf small charms for one character and I keep those on my sorceress. I guess when I get more charms that would round out the character. Did 3 uber runs last night for the first time and unfortunately got Necro, Amazon and Barb. I guess that isn't too bad, but was hoping for a Sorc torch too. Guess I'll have to farm up more keys.

@@Kouterry I've played single player my whole life. Also I didn't really look up guides or anything growing up so I didn't really know about runewords. Hunted down sets and uniques only really. I remember a barbarian that I kept trying to get the Ik armor to have the full set but never got it. Still haven't dropped it yet, but now I know it's less useful than I once thought. I used to also focus on melee characters and almost never played a Sorc. Really funny how badly I played the game back then. Now I love the sorceress and actually know what I'm doing.

Anything over 400 is too much imo. Ime somewhere between 300-400 is the aweet spot.

Teleport is such a stupid spell. The animation should be much slower, for all characters. The sorceress should have a slower teleport, too, but not as slow as the others imo. It should only be faster then a good run walk bonus if you can make smart shortcuts, not all the time. The barb has 35% faster run walk from a skill, 40% from boots and there are also armors or hats that give more, and teleport is still the best option. Every build that is used for mf just needs enigma.
Can someone please explain to me what's important about getting 500+ MF? Just more gold? IIRC uniques cap at 200 and Sets cap at 300 MF. So why play while dealing with BS associated with not having an inventory?

For targeting uniques specifically which I said the build is built for players difficulty doesnt matter because your only focusing on champions and bosses because they only drop 1 item no matter what the players setting is. But yea upping the players difficulty decreases the no drop rate on certain monsters which in a backwards way increases your rune chances because they are more likely drop an item versus not dropping an item which does translate to more high runes yes. Again in a backwards way. Depends on what your targeting. For tc 87 uniques only this build is bar none the best imo
Play style is hard to get used to
Some people think diminishing returns means it takes away the viability. It still adds more mf just becomes less and less impactful as you get over 300~

all this so called d2 expert sites are total b.s the drop of item in the game is totally random there are no specific location where you find gg iems not even the e prime Evies
some bosses have a specific loot table and drop items at a higher rate due to that being the case. it doesn't guarantee you get wat you want but it will make it more likely. for example it may be a 1/3000 chance to get a unique ring from nightmare Baal but that same ring chance could be 1/500 from hell Andarial. So that information even though it is still random will get you what you want if you put the time towards it. because andy drops 5 items its almost garenteed you see a ring in 100 runs where as ball would take 600 runs which is far more time per run to do not to mind six time more runs.

It just came to my mind that, since u have the ITD in grief and u dont deal with any act bosses, u dont need the extra AR from the IK boots set bonus. Why not change it with a WT instead for higher MF?

Perfect build video, can't wait for d2R. Do you have to go into a different build before for normal and nightmare and then switch over to the pitzerker build and gear? I'd probably need to build an mf sorc first I'm assuming for basic gear farming?
Blizz Sorc sadly gonna be 6 out of 8 chars at the beginning because you can bug out and kill Hell-Mephisto with her easily, who drops many of the most important items relatively easy.
