Maybe people like the calorie reduced version, and get bigger fats from fatty fish. More protein that way aswell, which keeps you full longer and helps build muscle
That’s not true at all. You’re just talking out of your ass. The powered peanut butter doesn’t absorb very much moisture. A tablespoon of powder with some liquid will yield around a tablespoon of spread. Do you even know what powdered peanut butter is? It’s literally just crushed peanuts with _most_ of the oil extracted out of them. There’s still a good amount of healthy fats, as well as much more protein and less calories than regular peanut butter. It is objectively healthier than regular peanut butter. Healthy fats are still very unhealthy when eaten in large amounts. 2 tbsp of pb has like 16 grams of fat. That’s a lot dude. It adds up quick. And who cares if it “tastes bad”. Maybe to you, but can you really guarantee that everyone who buys healthy food is going to stop eating it and put it to waste? No you fucking can’t dude.

the macros of peanut butter are actually good as they are. instead of avoiding fat from peanut butter, you can avoid fat from oils by replacing them with non stick cooking spray.
you're literally just adding the moisture back into dried nuts the reason already made peanut butter is higher in calories is because it's natural oil + the rest it needs isn't being removed. blend some nuts, add some corn starch or binding agent and you have relatively the same product.
Not really, what makes the powdered PB lower in calories is the fact that they press the oil out of the peanuts and then they are dehydrated, removing the oil removes most of the calories from fat and increases proportionally the amount of protein per serving, check the nutritional info, it's actually a good product, but personally I stick with good old PB, just eat it with moderation.

Both are great! Don’t avoid one though because it has more calories and more fat. More calories and more fat just means it will keep you full for longer!
The only problem with Skippy is the added sugar and hydrogenated oils to prevent separation of peanut oils. A majority of the fats are the healthy mono and poly unsaturated fats. PB powder strips away all the healthy fats.

@@faithtrout1181 agreed, but very low amount in form of complex carbs, something that you'll get from salads and definitely low absorbing so it won't trigger insulin response. Don't forget to add the calories from "Splash of Almond milk".....which is 10 calories and if you keep adding until you get the consistency the calories get added too. Just eat moderation and you'll be fine. Also not all fats are bad ....fats from peanuts is good fat. Just because they say fat is bad doesn't mean you start eliminating all kinds of fats because remember Fat is the fuel for the body just like carbs.....carbs are important too. Remember moderation. Fat is essential for absorption of Vitamins A, D, E, and K. If no fat then your body will not be able to absorb these important vitamins. Instead of putting wrong focus on Carbs, Fats, Sodium etc....put the right focus on the word "Moderation".

It will still be less than Skippy, but to compare apples to apples (or in this case peanut butter to peanut butter) you need to add in the calories and fat from the almond milk. Based on the standard stats from 8oz of almond milk you're only adding between 10-20 more calories, and approximately 1 more gram of fat. But still, accuracy is important.
This is great for people who love peanut butter but tend to eat more than just 2 tbsp. I'll stick to pb2 all the way. They taste great as well and u can dry scoop them into your mouth 😋😋
You should compare a natural peanut butter too. Conventional pb is very unhealthy because of the added oils but there are other brands that are just peanuts
Nope. If you are health conscious, it’s best to eat home made, organic peanut butter. Having said that, it’s ok to do everything in MODERATION as that is the key word 😊.
Fats aren't bad. Powder peanut butter is great for cutting weight but it should only be used for cutting. If you aren't trying to lose weight eat whatever you want, if you start to get fat than just eat less. If that doesn't work THEN replace normal foods with low calorie substitutes
You might think it's way more expensive, but because it's a powder, you're actually getting a lot more than you think out of it because it gains volume when you mix it. So the price is pretty fair.
I wish I could use pbfit but I’m allergic to peanuts, so I have to eat regular peanut butter. I eat jif. And for those of u wondering I have oral allergy syndrome, so no I dont stop breathing eating peanuts or peanut butter. I just can’t eat certain foods organic, like peanuts.
So many people keep saying stuff like "fats and calories aren’t the enemy" and "fats are good for you", yes healthy fats are essential to your health. But when over 50% of people are overweight then calorie dense foods (like pb) and an excess of calories is the enemy. No one is saying fat is bad, fat is just the easiest macro to cut out and remove a ton of unnecessary calories while also not removing a large volume of the food itself. If a person needs to lose weight to become healthy then they MUST be in calorie deficit, no exceptions. They should be watching their calorie intake and reduce it, simply eating healthy fats is not going to make you lose weight if you’re not a calorie deficit.
There’s kinda a huge leap between PB2 powder and Skippy. The peanut butter I buy is just roasted peanuts. No sugar, salt, or added oils. Much healthier than Skippy.
Regular PB can have its place in a lot of diets, for example people recovering from an eating disorder or just trying to bulk up because they are going to he gym or something, there are no "good" or "bad" foods, just ways to fuel our bodies according to our lifestyles and goals.
Depends on what your trying to go for. If ur trying to maintain your weight but eat nutritious food, go pb. But if u wanna bulk, go skippys. Really just comes down to what u want
Choose your peanut butter by reading the ingredients first and then compare nutrition facts. I wouldn’t choose either of those! Skippy if full of toxic oils that have nothing to do with peanut butter, and the other on has added sugar and palm oil…still the better choice of the two, but palm oil is highly acidic and not really that great for you. Find ingredients that are JUST peanuts, or peanuts and peanut oil. 💗 Choosing clean ingredients is much more beneficial to your health than comparing the nutritional facts.
To those who say “eat everything in moderation”, “calories are not the enemy” etc, that’s all true but if you eat the lower calorie/healthier versions of things you get to eat a lot more of it! Lol. Everyone has different goals.
We but pure peanut butter with no palm oil or sugar or anything. It's way better than the weird taste of half peanut butter (exaggeration with that ratio). It does split with the peanut oil but that's supposed to, so you just mix it. The dog likes it too
What you failed to mention is that its likely in what the healthier alternative removed in fat it added in sugar, which is far worse, if you really want healthy penut butter with what you know is in it making it yourself is the safest way to go
Food Science Babe actually called bullshit on this. Skippy is absolutely fine. Stop following the advice of influencers and UA-camrs that have absolutely no qualifications in food chemistry, science, diet or medicine. Demonising food is just ridiculous.
I think a better option for the pb2 would be 100% natural peanut butter, thats just made out of peanuts. Calories or fat are NOT your enemy. You need fats in your diet.

If you eat less of the cheap penut butter you save money
It’s not about fat, it’s the sugar content
Exactly
Friendly reminder that in order to get the SAME amount of reconstituted powdered peanut butter you need to double that amount. Also the fats in peanut butter are heart healthy. Fats and calories are not the enemy. Added sugar is what’s bad for you in the processed stuff like jiffy.
So in short YES we can and should be eating peanut butter. You would be surprised at the amount of women that miss out on heart healthy fats because all their lives they have been told fat is the enemy.
Eat the things you like in moderation. If the product tastes like trash, it won’t matter how “healthy” it is for you. Because it will just rot in the back of your pantry.
calories become the enemy when you eat too many of them
Maybe people like the calorie reduced version, and get bigger fats from fatty fish.
@ good thing they aren't raw so you don't have to worry lol
Yes
Love the eye makeup!!!
Oh, me too !
Love your videos, but that powder is stupid expensive. My mother tried using it for keto and the quality does not match the price. Honestly it is not as hard as many think to make your own peanut butter.
Most people eat peanut butter because it’s high calorie. If you’re in a rush it’s a quick thing to eat and it can keep you going longer.
That’s just not true. You’re just making a random assumption so you can have some sort of argument. You really think people would stop eating peanut butter if it didn’t have as many calories? Would people stop eating ice cream if it wasn’t high calorie? I mean, it has a lot of calories. So the only reason they eat it is because of the calories, right?
@@Idk-do1ui
I didn’t say it was the only reason, but it is kind of one of the main perks of the food.
@@emerald9194 You said “most people eat peanut butter because it’s high calorie.” That implies that it’s the _main reason_ why people eat it. You don’t even know if that true, and I can guarantee you it’s not. You mean to tell me that most people who eat peanut butter need to put on weight? That’s stupid dude.
@@Idk-do1ui
I never said anything about weight? I’m talking about calories as energy. Peanut butter is a quick, high-energy snack and that is one of its biggest appeals.
@@emerald9194 Calories are energy, and it’s not a quick source of it. Peanut butter is mainly fat. Fat is _very_ slow digesting. Carbs are good for a quick source of energy, not fat. Peanut butter has very few carbs.
I use water instead of milk. Tastes like regular peanut butter and aren’t adding the calories back.
I agree! But why would I use powder over the real, healthier, peanut butter? All calories are not bad calories. Plus, it's not like someone's gonna use the entire jar at once! When I use nut butter, I only use half a table spoon, or one full table spoon anyways! So I'm not worried. I really love her videos, but in this one, I'll keep it real! 💯 🥜 🥜 🥜 ❤
we should stop demonising food yk,calories aren’t the enemy and videos like this encourage “fear foods” enjoy everything in moderation and it’s fine.
Exactly!
Okay but adding milk adds calories and if you like it sweeter like a pre made peanut butter you have to add sugar... Which is also calories.
Good point
I was thinking this as well.
Yeah her logic isn’t well thought out. All she needs to do is enjoy the other peanut butter in moderation.
Stevia and almond milk (you only need about two tablespoons for a tablespoon of powder) wouldn't be more than 10 kcal extra
the macros of peanut butter are actually good as they are. instead of avoiding fat from peanut butter, you can avoid fat from oils by replacing them with non stick cooking spray.
Nah, people should eat peanut butter as is. Do what makes you happy and nourishes your body and soul.
As long as you have a calorie deficit you will be fine. I’ve eaten fast food a couple times a week and still put off weight
You can eat more no low peanut butter and feel more full than eating the crap.
you're literally just adding the moisture back into dried nuts
the reason already made peanut butter is higher in calories is because it's natural oil + the rest it needs isn't being removed.
blend some nuts, add some corn starch or binding agent and you have relatively the same product.

I’ve tried this, it actually taste REALLY good!! Very close to real PB!!
But I don’t wanna pay $6-8 for that when I can buy the great value kind for $1 and some change … I’m broke broke
WE broke broke.
You can get organic peanut butter very inexpensively at aldi or get a jar of unsalted peanuts extra virgin olive oil and an inexpensive food processor and you can do it yourself
You guys also need to understand how big two tablespoons really is, you could easily make a PB and J with 1, which is (hypothetically) 95 calories. I usually make mine with less since I don’t really like a lot inside
Both are great! Don’t avoid one though because it has more calories and more fat. More calories and more fat just means it will keep you full for longer!
Ok 😂
Both Good. Differs for when you’re bulking or cutting
Eat what makes you happy and keeps you satisfied! everyone is different & remember we're here for a good time not a long time💕
yes! peanut butter powder is also fantastic in shakes!
The only problem with Skippy is the added sugar and hydrogenated oils to prevent separation of peanut oils. A majority of the fats are the healthy mono and poly unsaturated fats. PB powder strips away all the healthy fats.
I don’t have time for that
I really really love this lady, she's beautiful and always full of joy and happiness, but calorie doesn't really matter! Hear me out please! Fats aren't bad for you! What you need to avoid is too much or any carbs and sugar! Also, peanuts or peanut butter isn't a good food in the first place. I wish you the best and a long healthy life.
Carbs aren't bad for you either. They are supposed to be the largest macro group consumed by any individual. But they've been vilified by fad diet culture. Eat your carbs!!
@@faithtrout1181 agreed, but very low amount in form of complex carbs, something that you'll get from salads and definitely low absorbing so it won't trigger insulin response. That food pyramid seems to be biased and wrong and was highly affected by big corporations like sugar and grain to promote carb and sugar consumption in the mid 1900's, that's where the money is for them, they literally hired scientists to produce the nutrition recommendations that you're talking about. Any form of simple carb will rapidly turn into excessive blood sugar in your body that will make insulin response and the long term end result is obesity and diabetes and many other chronic diabolic diseases.
@@Vinito I'm not taking about the food pyramid, I'm talking about macro ratios.
@@faithtrout1181 humans or most of carnivore mammals in general don't really need any amount of carbs in their diet, maybe here and there and that's not necessary for survival, that's what I'm saying. Skippy has a natural option . A non gmo option
This is not even true. It's loaded with sugar, highly processed oils, stabilizers, etc. But peanut butter that's just peanuts and salt

the problem with regular peanut butter is that they put vegetable oil in the butter to make it rich at a low price point. Skippy (brand) in my country is more expensive than locally produced nut butter that are less commercial. I’m grateful for that.
I mean it’s about the same amount of calories by time you add all the almond milk to get that consistency you desire!
that's what I was thinking?? you aren't measuring the extra stuff anyway, and peanut butter is still good for you
Not really, almond milk is 30 for an entire cup, 70-50 cals plus 30 (at most) is still only 100-80 which is half the calories. Plus I just use water in my pb2
an cup of almond milk is 30 calories i dont think youll be using that much
She probably used like 5 calories worth of almond milk because an entire cup is 30. So her entire total would be 65. Nowhere even close to real peanut butter.
She's comparing 2 tbsp of peanutbutter which is 32 grams to 2 tbsp of powder which is 16 grams. Is no one seeing the problem there?
One serving (2 tblspoons) is 32 grams and the other “one serve” (2 tblspoons) is 16grams. Thats why i like the “per 100g” bar on the back because you can clearly see whats in 100grams of xyz instead of always checking what a “serving” of something is
But I like high calorie foods it helps me get all my cals without eating alot
I love ❤️ your channel. Thank you !
The powder has added sugar in it. A natural peanut butter is the most clean option 😋
Thing is the first one is 32 grams. The second one is 16 grams. In terms of cal they are very identical. Measuring but weight instead of volume
When you don’t like peanut butter
😁
Finally!! Someone who also doesn't like peanut butter 🙌🙌
she’s so beautiful
I've never tried peanut butter before😅
It's basically peanut paste, if you like peanuts you'll like PB taste wise but it's a certain texture that can trigger sensory issues in a lot of people 😅
It's nice to make peanut cookies.
You're missing out Queenie! 😄
It's not something I'd typically reach for, but it is nice ( when you are in the mood for it😊)
I hate this so much, because the calories & fat aren’t even the topics to be really worried about but the fact that skippy has a list of ingredients that aren’t even peanut butter is the more concerning part. Eat REAL food. Period. 🤷🏽♀️
The main problem isn't the fat. It's the quality of fact. Most peanut butter/spreads etc are made with highly processed oils containing trans and poly unsaturated fats
Added sugar isn't healthy either. The liver turns extra sugar in the body in to fat.
@@liesel16 absolutely. Sugar is poison. One must only take raw unprocessed sugar. Best is to avoid it altogether. Just to give you an example sugarcane juice is extremely healthy, but processed sugar is one of the main causes for multiple ailments. Eat natural food. On that same note, avoid processed grains that spike insulin levels. Avoid most packaged products. Whole foods. People need to be informed. The food industry keeps churning out garbage poison that's fuelling another industry ("health" care). The average punter doesn't stand a chance.
Just an fyi….. if your adding almond milk (or any milk) to turn it into creamy peanut butter than that adds calories to the powder since the milk has calories too. If your counting calories just something to be aware of
But… ITS SOO GOOD 😭😭
I love that most of these comments are people who actually know better than to follow the advice in this video 💪
For a malnourished person, the one with more calories would be "healthier." Looking at only calories is just incorrect. Also, fat isn't bad.
It seems you completely missed the point. Tell me, are more people malnourished or overweight? If you have problems gaining weight, eat higher calorie foods. That’s your problem and not a problem everybody has.
Not if they use bad oils. Bad oils and sugar harms your body. Inflammation.
I use this for delicious Peanut Sate dipping sauce for grilled kebabs chicken, tofu..., Dumplings or wontons and awesome salad dressing. I even add it to spicy sauce for Chinese lettuce cups and NY style cold noodles. .
Now I will try it for sweet dishes. TY
Don't mess with my Skippy. That would be like me saying stop eating chicken feet. Ain't gonna happen girl.
If you’re trying to reduce caloric intake this is a great substitute! If you don’t care to reduce calories, keep eating regular pb. Thank you for this video! Super informative regardless of what one’s goals are. (Pbfit also has more protein!)
Long story short, read the calorie content of your food choices and see whether you can fit the macros.
Still eating Skippy's, gonna make some gains💪
This is so helpful Ty
Imagine having to mix milk with your peanuts everytime you want a sandwich
Pb is also high is amino fatty acids which helps with thick hair growth when I lost 35kg my hair strands also became thinner and now I’m trying to eat things that are higher in amino fatty acids to try and regain my thick hair it’s important to not only think of caleries but also nutritional health when loosing weight
Me: trying to gain weight😂 I’ll stick with skippy I need the calories
I lost weight eating Skippy Peanut Butter on the keto diet fat is great. 🤗
I never heard of peanut butter powder! Wow! Thanks. Blessings to you....
We had that at my house because the store my dad worked at was closing so they were giving things away, and it tasted like tap water and cornstarch… you do you tho, I just feel like natural peanut butter from a farms stand or literally you can make it yourself is better
Everything is good in moderation. However we can't assume that everyone can afford everything labelled 'healthy'. We can just 'suggest'
Discovered this a few years back and it’s especially AWESOME in smoothies!
Yes! So good with bananas, almond milk, rolled oats and peanut butter powder!
They sell such crap in the US! In Belgium, we get smooth, delicious peanut butter that has NOTHING in it but...crushed peanuts. No carbs. It's not even marketed as "low-carb" just pb.
On on keto so I’ll take the skippy haha 😂
It will still be less than Skippy, but to compare apples to apples (or in this case peanut butter to peanut butter) you need to add in the calories and fat from the almond milk.
Based on the standard stats from 8oz of almond milk you're only adding between 10-20 more calories, and approximately 1 more gram of fat.
But still, accuracy is important.
Love these!!
The calories and fat is literally the whole point of peanut butter.
Exactly and added sugar
Looking forward for more of this series! Success!
Also, I think it’s worth spending more money on food if it allows you to stay healthier
They should be watching their calorie intake and reduce it, simply eating healthy fats is not going to make you lose weight if you’re not a calorie deficit.
thats because they arent. Theres nothing wrong with being in a cal deficit to lose weight healthily, but demonising calories causes eating disorders.
There’s kinda a huge leap between PB2 powder and Skippy. The peanut butter I buy is just roasted peanuts. No sugar, salt, or added oils. Much healthier than Skippy.
PUFA are healthy fats. They're good for the heart
Naturally occurring saturated fats are essential for healthy hormone balance.
Regular PB can have its place in a lot of diets, for example people recovering from an eating disorder or just trying to bulk up because they are going to he gym or something, there are no "good" or "bad" foods, just ways to fuel our bodies according to our lifestyles and goals.
I really like this!
Her voice is perfect
Depends on what your trying to go for. If ur trying to maintain your weight but eat nutritious food, go pb. But if u wanna bulk, go skippys. Really just comes down to what u want
The point of peanut butter is it's a healthy fat source. Why would you want low fat peanut butter?
Choose your peanut butter by reading the ingredients first and then compare nutrition facts. I wouldn’t choose either of those! Skippy if full of toxic oils that have nothing to do with peanut butter, and the other on has added sugar and palm oil…still the better choice of the two, but palm oil is highly acidic and not really that great for you. Find ingredients that are JUST peanuts, or peanuts and peanut oil. 💗
Choosing clean ingredients is much more beneficial to your health than comparing the nutritional facts.
To those who say “eat everything in moderation”, “calories are not the enemy” etc, that’s all true but if you eat the lower calorie/healthier versions of things you get to eat a lot more of it! Lol.
Everyone has different goals.
Ive got both, powder for smothies. Regular for snacks during high blood sugar.
We but pure peanut butter with no palm oil or sugar or anything. It's way better than the weird taste of half peanut butter (exaggeration with that ratio). It does split with the peanut oil but that's supposed to, so you just mix it. The dog likes it too
She’s gorgeous
Reminder; "healthy" is relative. This is a healthy option for an obese person trying to lose weight.this would be unhealthy for someone who is at a healthy weight, you should not avoid fat. Its an essential macronutrient.
You are such a smart girl. Love peanut butter and this is the way to do it. So many things to learn from you. Did I mention that you are very cute?
