The dpf won't regenerate if any fault codes are present . This includes an automatic regeneration whilst driving normally. Because the MAF sensor is faulty if you keep driving it will clog the filter quickly, in 150 miles or less . Also you don't need a run on the motorway to get it to regenerate automatically, it will regenerate around town as long as it's warmed up , has enough fuel and stays running long enough. Interestingly FIAT was going to go down the route of electrification of the Panda but the backlash in the home market alone never mind across Europe meant they back-tracked in short order. Can't imagine a vineyard owner would be happy running out of spark juice a few KM's from home whereas if he had a petrol one they can just call home for a can of petrol to be delivered. Anyway most of them are still on their Mk1 1992 Panda 4x4 yet ha ha ha

Funny how it’s always German cars that bugger up dpf isn’t it? Of course nothing to do with dodgy software cheating emissions. The easy way would have been to use adblue takes all the problems away. Don’t do the dealer waffle about short runs cause the problems. I’m on my third diesel from new in 8 years all had adblue and my car rarely drives more than 15 miles at a time but, then they were Peugeot engines that met Euro 6 back in 2015!

Told you what to do mate, you could have done it in an hour or so, would have made a nice retail car then, I've never had much luck with re gens, you'll be amazed how clogged dpfs get.
Ok, so if there is any air related fault is present in the system until it is repaired the ECU will not trigger regen. In fact there are a couple of factors has to be met to start a regen, one of them is the differencial pressure is in a given range (dpf in and out) calculated soot mass is too much for a regen (this case a chemical / removal of the dpf and cleaning it) is needed to put back operation to normal. Please do yourself a favour and not try to do a forced regen on an heavily stuck dpf. It can damage your dpf, internals or case or both. There is a good source for info he is caller O'Rielys auto on youtube and he basically specializes on DPF related issues, there is a lot to lurn. It is possible to get the dpf cleaned, replace the faulty parts/wiring etc, let the ecu lelearn a couple of thing and everything should be back to normal. If there is too much soot accumulation in the DPF as it burns off or tries to burn off, it creates too much heat to the dpf to handle.

James , you are a star. Heart of gold. Don’t leat the barstewards get to you. We know you are genuine. Keep on trucking .
The bloke that gave you grief sounds like the scammer to me. I’d block them and have nothing to do with them. I suspect they want to do it themselves rather than get cash so they can do some creative accounting and maybe skim some cash off for themselves. Don’t have anything to do with people like that as they are certainly not charitable.
Keep up the good work James 😉 Some people have got nothing better to do !
James you have nothing to fear over this you are as honest as the day is long. Another great video the panda reminded me of my uncles only 4X4 siseley great little car.
Cheers Barry
Funny how it’s always German cars that bugger up dpf isn’t it? Of course nothing to do with dodgy software cheating emissions. The easy way would have been to use adblue takes all the problems away. Don’t do the dealer waffle about short runs cause the problems. I’m on my third diesel from new in 8 years all had adblue and my car rarely drives more than 15 miles at a time but, then they were Peugeot engines that met Euro 6 back in 2015!
Do not do a forced regen! Consult O'Reilly Autos first.
Great video as usual. Glad I don't have to deal with the idiots you do. It would be great if you could raffle the zafira or something similar size.
Another great video james what about a van raffle a little change from cars just a idea and a mental health charity. Some people need to give there head a wobble to think your scamming everyone
I've been watching your videos for a long time and you have always come across as being an honest and sincere guy. Some people are just hell bent on trying to spoil things for people. Please keep up the videos , I look forward to watching them.
Why don't you go around the Barkley car auctions and bid for some cheap cars and expensive cars ask the pitch corner sales owner Lee he knows about the car auctions
I was thinking I might pop up and take a look with Roston one day
Raffle the brabus or maybe the saab convertible if you still have it.
Jimmy of O'Riley's is your man when it comes to DPFs. I would consider him to be the "DPF guru". I have exactly the same scantool as you. That "buyer" is an entitled prick. He's like a spoilt child that hasn't grown up. If he thought you were a scammer why hasn't he reported you? If anything, you've demonstarted your integrity by sticking to your guns.
Cheers mate
Told you what to do mate, you could have done it in an hour or so, would have made a nice retail car then, I've never had much luck with re gens, you'll be amazed how clogged dpfs get.
love your vids mate scammers every were you a top man
Ok, so if there is any air related fault is present in the system until it is repaired the ECU will not trigger regen.
James keep up the good work and great that you have some good supporters free goodies for the raffles
Thanks
James, you don't have to explain yourself mate....I'm sure if the charities didn't get the money we would know soon enough!....What a muppet, attitudes always change when a scammer doesn't get their way!
Love the idea of supporting our veterans mate, and raffle either the XJS or the Brabus and I'm in!.....Great work sir! 👍👍💪💪
Surely not the Brabus …. Limited people would be attracted to that, mainly hairdressers 😂
@@derekfleming3095 So you'd rather have an auction for a Corsa?....That's what my hairdresser drives, and he can only dream of a 'Brabus'!....🤔🤔
@@Garffey more people would prefer owning the corsa than the brabus. Imagine if someone seen you out in it, you’d have to hide in the house for weeks 😀
@@derekfleming3095 Rather that than hide for months on end as a Corsa owner!!....Jeeezzz
@@Garffey be honest, the vast majority of people would sell that if they won it. Look how long chops has had it (I know it did sell but fell through) it’s a limited market
Said it before chops, you is a top guy, great support of the charities. Thanks for sharing.
Much appreciated
Shame by MOT laws we can’t blank it off anymore. Sometimes the law needs to be broken 😂
Hi James. Just watched this video and it got me a bit emotional when you showed my CRV. Things haven't been too good since last Friday so the Panda came along at just the right time as did my Honda for the lady in question. I hope she enjoys it as we did. The little Fiat is still putting a smile on my face. Thanks again.
Thanks Paul! Really she loved the CRV and she welled up when she came back and the song had been on it, said it was like he was saying it was the right car for her. I wish you the best mate
23:00 Vauxhall's never fetch much.
I bought a 2014 Astra GTC SRi Automatic only 30 months old for just £7k with only 13k miles on the clock.
And that was from a dealer.
More than 6 years on and another 13k miles under its belt, it hasn't missed a beat.
