When the DPF does a regen it doesn’t really send it out of the back. It turns the soot to ash and that’s stored in the DPF and is the reason they eventually block up unless you get them properly cleaned (via removal).

I’m glad you showed this units downside, it’s not comprehensive enough to do a static regen. You either have to invest in a better, more expensive unit, or use xentry(Mercedes oem software). Manufacturers are starting to update vehicles to not allow static regens. You really need the car moving to allow cooler airflow under the exhaust, you can damage the dpf.
The dpf won't regenerate if any fault codes are present . This includes an automatic regeneration whilst driving normally. Because the MAF sensor is faulty if you keep driving it will clog the filter quickly, in 150 miles or less . Also you don't need a run on the motorway to get it to regenerate automatically, it will regenerate around town as long as it's warmed up , has enough fuel and stays running long enough. I have live data and have seen my van regenerate while pottering about.
I had a similar issue with mine, changed maf, made no difference. The only way I got it out of limp mode was using a scan tool to tell the car it had a new air filter. Been good as gold for the last few months

My 2019 ford transit
Has a Dpf filter percentage full in the menu
I can press button and see what percent Dpf is full ( between 5 and 95 )
It usually does it when I’m driving , which sometimes I can tell when it’s doing it when I say come to a round about or junction as engine has a different sound , if I’m doing short journeys , when I stop
It says re gen required press and hold button to start
It asks you if vehicle is parked and handbrake on
I click confirm and then press start , it then raises the revs to about 2500rpm and it takes about 10 mins to drop the filter from 95 percent full to 5 percent
Then engine drops back to normal revs
But I don’t think many other vehicles has this option but I think all cars should , why don’t they ??
When you get an email like that just ask them what drugs are they on .
The colour on the Corsa might have killed it too. We really struggle with silver at the moment.

Hope somethings not wobbling on that crank sensor mate, new one might not late long, I had something similar and I shimmed out the sensor with a washer.
Yes that was my thought too, something has moved to allow it to touch and it's more likely to be the rotating part has moved rather than a static sensor mounting bracket moving closer.
@@rosskeen7325 yes bud, it didn't get scored for nothing, hope it not bearings allowing crank to move, can't remember which car it was that was doing the same, I'd take it out and have another look.
I want to know with new petrol cars having OPFs or what ever they call them are we going to see the same issues as DPFs getting clogged if they just used as little run arounds and not doing motorway miles
@@bradscott2432 they've had cats since 92 bud, they don't get clogged as petrol burns clean, unlike diesel, but the cats degrade in time, so probably say 80k for a cat, how you drive makes little difference to a cat, if your cars burning oil they'll not last long tho.
Great work ignore the doggy people!
I think your next raffle should be that awesome Jaguar
Cheers
Your most honest bloke
i have seen 👍
World's full of keyboard warriors idiot's
keep up all your good work james
Wouldn't the world be a brilliant place to live if all these Scammers were like Chops 👍👍👍👍👍to Chops.
Unfortunately the DPF does not filter out ALL the nasties...
The people calling you a scammer need to take a long hard look at themselves!!! Absolute madness you have a person doing good for others and you get idiots out for themselves trying to condemn the good guy
Thanks
I'm watching your videos and website like a hawk. My step Dad recommended you to me so would love to buy a motor from you. I did email just before you went on hols but the focus had sold. Im still bit interested in the blue Clio you have but your previous video said it doesn't have any service history so hoping for update on this 🤞
Much appreciated Gemma! I have no update unfortunately but lots of new stock
Oh James, it's got to be the Jag
Cool
You should never do a forced regen if it doesn’t do it automatically there’s a faulty with the system. If you do a forced regeneration you should replace oil and filter immediately as diesel goes into the oil overfilling it that can cause catastrophic engine failure
Just drill the dpf and delete it also do the egr valve to
Only scam going on, is your black marker pen slowly running out already!! 😂 you've over used it with all the charity work your doing. Keep it going James, your helping many many people.
It's your channel James, and how you decide to raise money for charity is your decision, no-one else.
I have seen this before on other channels and not just UA-cam. They are just trying to piggyback off your popularity and if they don't get a slice of the action they start with the threats and false accusations. Sad individuals with issues.
Nice story at the end re the CRV 😊
