Your policy of selling a car which includes a decent amount of fuel is a great advert. Every used car (and one new one) I have ever bought was in the red zone. Keep up the good work!
Decades ago a dealer charged my parents for the fuel in the new Avenger they had just bought. So, to his displeasure, they insisted on being paid for the fuel in the car they had just traded in.
As a rental Tennant I’d appreciate a landlord like you, We’ve lived in our current rental for 9 years now, and not a single thing has been done by the landlord, I spend money on it my self as I like a nice home, but could be asked to leave at any point. Keep doing what you do.
U keep doing what you do too.i was a landlord for 10 yrs and made the flats lovely, however only one tenant ever looked after the places, the rest trashed the places. Refreshing you care.😅
What's the point in renting of you are going to live in the same place long term? Might as well buy. Renting is for short term if you are not thinking of staying.
Best video you've done for ages fella. That's not to say I don't enjoy your regular ones I hope you know! It's great to see some of the places you mention so regularly. Keep up the top quality work 👍🏽
Love this Bloke, very easy and entertaining to watch I wish Rob on UK Salvage Rebuilds who never uses one word when half a dozen will do was not so annoying, beginning to do my head in but have to say the rebuilds were brilliant
Really enjoyable video as always Matt. I appreciate your approach towards both being a used car dealer, and being a property owner. You always seem honest, and have an attitude of ensuring that everything you sell is in a good condition and well prepared. Not only is this a great sign that you take pride in doing your work correctly to honour customers and to be an honest guy, from a business side I'm sure it saves a lot of the hassle that comes with doing things cheaply and to a poor standard. Any business or property owner should take note!
Man I love your content. Being in the US it's neat seeing all the euro cars - and we are different types of dealers. I do cheap buy here pay here cars so I kinda laugh when you say a car is "scruffy" I'm saying "Oh man, that's a pretty clean car!" Anyway, love your stuff my man!
I’m glad you did this video if only to show your viewers the other mundane stuff you have to do rather then all the glamour that’s usually shown in an unrealistic car salesman’s lot. I personally like your videos, it’s all fascinating stuff. Many thanks go or taking the time to show us your reality.
Can't commend you enough for the attention to detail and effort you put into each car. It is very refreshing especially these days when businesses are trying to cut corners and make a quick buck. Really appreciate your openness and honesty it's very admirable. 👍🏽
I hope to be in your position after many more years of graft to come! Thank you for inspiring me & for the great content, a lot of knowledge you have given me over the years! I’m now on about 15 cars when i started watching you I had 2 & had a lot of hardships but now its looking like i can hit 30/40 cars comfortably by end if the year!
Fantastic video, Matt! Great seeing other aspects of your life. We have such similar tastes in cars, but I also own a property management company, so it’s cool to see that side of your business too. Best of luck to you! 💪🏻 You gotta keep that Jag!!
"Everybody deserves to live in a nice place"...this just about sums you up Matt. There's no price you can ask for looking after others and is probably why you've been so successful so far in life...plus why we all enjoy watching in you go about your daily life.
You’re a really decent guy mate. You genuinely care about your customers and sort issues and post it online.. you don’t hide anything. Furthermore you want a nice home for people to rent… you moved a boiler to another part of the house even though it’s safe… it shows you care… i honestly wish you the best with your home rentals. You deserve it.
Another great video, wouldn't mind another one like it at some point, also you seem like a genuinely honest guy, hard to come by these days. Cheers from Denmark!
Great video, love the insight. You mentioned the cash flow and new stock, I always wondered what the average turn around time is. After 8 years of hard graft it's nice to know you have the option of giving yourself a bit more freedom in the near future
Interesting channel, I was a yard hand once. Using an r134a guage set and an extra long quick connect you could recover the refrigerant from the cars you scrap by re-gassing another car and save yourself 60 bob.
That was a great watch! Quality work again Matt. You’ve done very well for yourself so why no go and enjoy life. You’ve certainly earned it with long hard work.
Glad you see that life isn't all about working non stop and money. Im the same, in business nearly 8 years as well, around the same age as you as well. I started in 2016 and worked every day in 2017. The pandemic made me stop and ask myself what I was doing, still work most days but take more days off and have more holidays, I have similar plans to yourself. your best videos are the funny car selling stories.
My brother has a similar XKR , in what I would say is an even better specification . British Racing Green , red leather , Jaguar split rim wheels , infotainment screen and performance exhaust. Similar mileage and he is only the second owner. He hardly uses it now and having seen your one and the price I think it might encourage him to finally part with it. The value was dropping for many years but the values are now climbing. I think other than the E Type , the XKR is the second best looking car Jaguar have made.
That XKR looks amazing! A couple of years ago I sold a bungalow for a client with an annexe - it was self contained with a kitchen. The sellers had to remove the 2nd kitchen for the buyer to get a mortgage , then re-fit when they moved in!
Admit I haven't watched some of the vids of late but thought I'd dip back in, and I definitely chose a good one. Great to have a glimpse of a real behind the scenes day in your business. Thanks.
Super job on the property refurb, the bigger kitchen will make the whole property feel bigger, good to see you kept the outside toilet too, we have one of those and it gets more use than you'd think..
Nice vid Matt! Good to see the other side of you. Appreciate the landlord side of you!(everybody deserves somewhere nice to live, I liked that!) Keep doing what you do bud!👍👏👏👏❤️
Hi Matt that was an excellent day in the life of a car dealer the house looks great as well good luck with everything may your success continue. Cheers Phil from Newark
Matt , keep it, keep it! It's gorgeous!!!! That kag will be a classic. I love that you're in property and applying the same love and enthusiasm as with your cars. People do appreciate living in a nice place like driving a new car.. Great vid
Matt I almost felt sorry for you when you said you were excited to view the Citroën Berlingo! Then I stopped feeling sorry for you and became quite envious of your daily job and success 😬😁 Keep up the good work, the industry needs more people like you 👍
Another angle to your many talents Matt I see this video as a marker to any budding business person on what life would be like when you push the boundaries. It's not just cars its much more.
The property looks very smart, I agree about not renting out property you wouldn't want to live in yourself. I remember my grandparents had an outside toilet in their property in East Ham, East London, probably built around the same time. A shame you can't keep the XKR, but the video should be good.
Great insight to your various business interests, pretty varied range of cars which adds to the interest. Wise decission to try to slow down a bit and take some time for yourself as you say we are only here once. Lovely XKR great colour combination from a time when we knew what Jaguars were about and were desirable but not for much longer sadly!
You're spot on Matt -- I retired 6 years ago and have never been happier - You don't realise the stress until it stops. Good vid as usual - keep it up sir! :)
Great video - would love to see you do a review of the Honda civic you pointed at as been yours as a lot of people view these as a good buy as a first time car or a cheap runabout - was wondering what you thought of the car and its (as sometimes referred to) choppy ride?
Hey Matt Another great video as they all are. Please don't apologise for wanting to be how your aiming to be with your life. Like you said it's no good being stressed 24/7. You work hard so you should be able to enjoy your spoils as the saying goes. Great to see you have got another property 😊 I do love seeing what you do with your properties as well as your cars. 😊😊 Please keep them coming Lisa UK xxxx
My in-laws have a 2015 Nissan Rogue, which is what we call the Qashqai in the US, and as a testament to Nissan's quality control, the model badge on the rear is spelled "Rouge". Nothing but the best from Nissan.
First house I bought was an end terrace in Middleton. Kitchen in an outside lean to - no indoor bathroom and the wall ties in the gable wall were rotten. Gable wall rebuilt - front bedroom split in two to install a bathroom - kitchen brought back indoors and got a grant to install central heating and completely redecorated. First mortgage was £11k because I am that old Matt.
If I were a used car dealer I would end up keeping all the cars and telling potential customers to bog off. Kind of the story of my life. Im now poverty stricken in my retirement but with an awful lot of assets - mostly, but not all, depreciating. Love your Channel! ❤
Enjoyed the property segment, haven't seen a new video on your properties for a while. The old kitchen space will be a useful storage room and laundry, washer & dryer stack.

Same with me sure they drain the tanks for themselves
some traders are proud that they wont put any fuel in their cars and know we will have to make an emergency garage stop.
