Train early, give love, & you will have a dog that will never fail you! You will be amaized at how ”human" this breed is! Good luck & God bless this Noble breed
My Dobie turns 4 tomorrow and she has been the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. She is wonderful with my nieces as well as the neighbor kids. Very popular in the neighborhood...she gets along with everyone. I couldn't imagine her turning on anyone ever - for any reason. Back in the early to mid 90's when they were getting all the negative attention was a result of inbreeding. Now they have gotten back to more pure, stable, and clean blood lines. Pitbulls however....
I got my Doberman from a man that couldn't take care of him anymore almost a year ago. He was 11 months old when he came to my home. He has been a perfect angel every day since. He loves being around other people, he is great with my cats, and he tries to lay in my lap every chance he gets. I never thought 100 pounds of fur would make me so happy. I LOVE THIS BREED!!!
He is an absolute beauty, you can see the strong breeding in him. My first dog was a Dobie and had a few since then and they are never a disappointment.
My family had a Doberman when I was born and that dog was the sweetest dog I've ever known. It died when I was 7 or 8, but she would never leave my family's side and I don't think I ever heard her bark or growl, or even open her mouth except to eat or pant. Dobermans, and all dogs for that matter, are products of how they were raised. Pitbulls are also incredibly loving and caring, by the way.
Yes it does, but who cares. He is not less dog for it. Shows are for shallow people...and usually never bring good things to the breeds. Nice dobbie u got there, have to say they are the most loyal dog breed i ever had. Not the best one, but the most loyal, no doubt
That's why the handlers carry a Sharpie into the ring. It is allowed but you seem to think it is bigger than allowed. 1/2" was the limit but it did NOT DISQUALIFY. Did you know that a mutation for that mark is how the white Dobermans came about. Not really sure it's true but the white is NOT albino .Disqualifications: Overshot more than 3/16 of an inch, undershot more than ⅛ of an inch. Four or more missing teeth. Dogs not of an allowed color.
Some dude took some of my foreskin when I was a baby, and you know what? I like my sleeker, cleaner looking junk. Who is to say dogs don't like looking sleeker and cooler also?
@@karldavis6022 False equivalency. If your genitals hadn't been mutilated, you'd enjoy sex quite a bit more. But if all you're interested in is looks.............
I chose my Dobie as the runt of the litter. Nobody wanted her. I took her home when she was 7 weeks old. She stayed by my side always. Brandy was born in 1988. My daughter was born in 1991. I showed Brandy my baby, and told her, "Brandy, this is my baby." Brandy never left Hannah's side ever. If ANYONE came anywhere close to my daughter, Brandy showed her teeth, raised her hair on her back, and laid her ears down, growled deep, and snapped like a friggin shark. I miss her to this very day.
You guys understand that there's more to cropping and docking besides looks right? Docking the tail can help prevent health issues later in life, and cropping the ears is more of a safety thing. Cropped ears are harder to grab onto which can prevent it from getting hurt or torn, since Dobermans can be used as guard dogs, and it helps improve hearing.
I've had 5 dobes, 3 rescues..like to have ears cropped. 2 of the dobes had natural ears, had problems with ear infections. Dobes are my favorite dog breed followed by golden retriever.. Love 'em all!
I’ve had a couple Dobermans. One I had when I was a kid would walk us to the bus stop and stay till we got on. She would go back home and be waiting when we got off the bus in the evening.
You mentioned about your Dobe not having to trim their nails.. I have owned Dobe's for over 30 years and I have always had to trim them. Now, with that said IF they are on concrete all the time, they could trim them down that way.. but for most of the time, they do need to have their nails taken care of.
Mine too... have to cut them once a month at least. The nails on this dog might have been burned, so they won't grow, or if he is not an asfalt/concrete dog like you say, and the nails get filed of....
@@libertysurveillance4765 Because the long nails are uncomfortable...They can end up growing wrong on the nerves and stuff... you should really help your dog out...
I do cut them to keep the 'cat' style foot. If they get long that goes away. I just have to wait until he is napping and get one or 2 nails at a time. When he gets to the vet they just hold him down. I never made them bleed.
He is giving false info here. You do have to trim there nails. You don,t crop there ears at 6 to 8 months. You must crop there ears by time they are 12 weeks old before the cartledge in there ears gets hard. Most Vets will recommend that you do it between 8 and 10 weeks old.
Everything you had to say was correct. They are far from mean, and are not aggressive. Doberman's are very protective and will defend their home and their family to no end. My dobe is a male, fawn with a medium ear crop. Our dobie is the most affectionate dog I have ever owned. Good video and beautiful dog.
When I bred Dobermans I had the tails docked within the first 2 or 3 days of birth. Ear cropping should be done after 12 weeks of age, at which time the puppies have usually been sold. To me a Doberman just doesn't look like a Dobe with long ears but many people now prefer an uncropped "softer" appearance. Dobermans are great dogs and do not deserve the reputation for ferocity they have had for a long time. They are way down the list of breeds involved in serious maulings of people.
A Chihuahua is the only dog that as ever bit me. I went to pet it and I guess i moved my hand to fast. I would absolutely love to have a Doberman. They are beautiful dogs.
The docking of the tail is done at three days old. So that way the dog does not remember it. Yes it still hurts them but it is better if the tail is docked because of the way their tails are which is long and boney. If the tail hits cages or walls when being wagged it cuts open their tail. It happened to my Great Dane and its a lot mor painful then. My two that I have now have their tails docked. And the ears are usually done at 6 months. Mainly for looks. Yes, it hurts but their asleep during the procedure. And it only hurts afterwards if they hit their ears or if you touch them. So don't get pissed off because of someone's preference!!
I know clipping the ears reduced a lot of infections. Ears that fold over create a moist environment, perfect for infections to grow, especially if water gets in. An animal tail is an extension of the spine. Docking the tail is also done to avoid someone grabbing a guard dog tail and being able to control or injure the dog.
Very beautiful Doberman. I had one as a child named Dominic, he came down with Valley Fever, which we lived in Tucson during this time too. He was a great Doberman.
Cropping is less dangerous with newer techniques and technology. I've seen more than one Doberman lose significant flesh from gangrene after cropping, though. I never cropped mine, he was a stout male crossed between an American show dog and a European working line and was often mistaken for a Rottweiler. Europeans breed with ears in mind and their dogs tend to look better uncropped. Iggy was awesome, best of both worlds. Doberman is a great breed if you have time, space, and energy. I recommend a) formal basic obedience training, b)grain-free diet c) health insurance (capable of outrunning their brain on occasion). Dobermans are susceptible to several genetic maladies so as with all breeds get a health guarantee before purchase.
Great answer there. I always had to clean my dobies ears. When cropped they are much easier to keep clean and are less prone to infection. Good job on the video. I raised Dobies for years and I can tell you from the looks of your animal he is very well breed.
My husband insists I have a doberman alert dog , after finding a man in our van. . Anyone who says anything to me about ,Mutilation regarding ear or tail cropping . I just say "Hows that circumcision working out for you??? Shuts them up ! C.
CINDY Lituyas Loon I don't believe in God. And to be honest, what true God would demand that you hack off a part of your son's body to prove that you believe in him?
Mark Gailmor In high school I dated a boy from Germany who had not been circumcised and though he practiced good hygiene, he frequently needed to scratch himself there. That's all the detail I'm going to provide. My three sons are very glad to be circumcised--and it wasn't for religious reasons.
I have had Dobi's for 20 years. I live in MO where it gets cold but they are not a good outside cold or hot dog. Their coats are thin and makes it not good for the cold weather. But if you can have him or her inside I recommend this breed over all breeds. I also have a 3 year old German Shepherd but he is my partner at work I would love to get a Dobi for a patrol dog but the city said they were to intimidating.
Cropping the ears does have NON-COSMETIC benefits. I have two dobermans, one male with cropped ears and one female with natural ears. While I've had no trouble with the cropped ears, my female has had lots of issues. Tiny scratches on her ears bleed like crazy, they need to be cleaned a lot more and they also seem to attract more ticks. I still find specks of blood on my walls occasionally from when my female has had an ear bleed and shaken her head. If I had it to do over again, I would have cropped them both and highly recommend ear cropping to any doberman owners.
Have you had her tested for von Willebrands disease? it is a hereditary bleeding condition common in the breed. It is a more likely explanation of her bleeding then her lack of cropped ears.
WHAT!?!? Most dogs have upright ears, just like 99.9% of ALL animals in nature. It's the floppy ears that are man made and rare. Get those facts straight before throwing your thoughts around.
busby pero not to mention if in a fight the ears or tail are harder or can't be grabbed at all which could save you and your dogs life one day. The pain is less than getting your wisdom teeth pulled and maybe compared to being sore af the next day after a workout. Well worth it. Most dog owners and especially Doberman owners take alot of pride in their dog and love their dog very much and would never do something to their dog if they felt it would harm it.
Prof Mel A couple of things to consider, with all due respect...Part of the reason dobermans have developed an "aggressive reputation" is due to cropping. It is now known to cause communication misinterpretation. Dogs strongly communicate through body language. When ears are cropped, believe it or not, it hinders the dobermans' ability to send clear signals to other dogs, thus other canines have difficulty interpreting the doberman. Partially, this is due to the fact dobermans look highly alert most of the time with cropped ears. In addition, putting dobermans through the trauma/discomfort at an early age can alter his/her personality negatively (obviously not always the case) . Again, as puppies, while they are supposed to be socializing and developing communication skills with other dogs, they lack the ability to do so clearly and unfortunately do not always have the most positive of reactions from an early start, which may sometimes set them up for dangerous encounters they should never have to deal with, because they are such incredibly wonderful dogs. I understand this is not always the case. I just felt the need to add these thoughts to the conversation, as I recently read some studies and spoke with quite a few veterinarians who have extensive experience with dobermans. Needless to say, I've been doing quite a bit of research for some time on this topic... At the end of the day we are all dog lovers. Pawsitive thoughts your way! 🐾
Nice looking dog ! I've always had German Shepherds and I'm happy to say that I'm getting my first black & tan Doberman Pinscher tomorrow. He's a very calm and obedient one year old male. looking forward to having him around.
Our beautiful Doberman's nails grow long and fast. She is a pure breed, as well. She was gift and we would never have cut any part of her, but she came to us that way.
I know this is an older video, but the collar on that dog is waaayyy too tight. When the skin is folding over a collar that means the dollar is cutting off the airway. If you can't fit two fingers under the collar then it's too tight.....
AWWWW. He's not ugly. He's BEAUTIFUL. I'm on my fourth doberman and hate not having a doberman by my side. I also have a highly bred, father was an internation champion and mother's kennel was Marienburg, who's progeny has won Westminster Best in Show, etc. And my dogs nails are NOT naturally short. I think you must have some concrete he runs on a lot. Nice video. Give him lots of extra love for me!
I found this comment odd too. Doberman nails do need to be trimmed. So unless there's a midnight nail trimmer that does this without the owners knowledge then I have no idea how it gets trimmed on its own.
Dobermans and Rottweiler's are also prone to chewing on their own feet. I lived with a couple who has a Rottweiler and she chews on her feet basically giving herself a manicure and pedicure. This same couple, the woman's brother has Doberman who did the same thing to trim their own nails.
Gear Websites - Dear sir: I've watched this video a couple of times over the years and recently saw your boy had passed. I send my condolences to you. I lost one of my girls of the same age on 26 Dec 17 and yet another this past January. I have a puppy boy (11 mos old now) and he is taking up the slack. I am hoping you have a new Dobie and that your boy did not suffer much. 14 is certainly a respectable age indeed. My oldest was 16 and she is my avatar. Best to you and yours. At the making of this video in 2010 I had a pack of 5 Dobermans. Was heaven.
The most beautiful dog in the world, is a Doberman. Raised them for 35 yrs. European & American Dobes. Thank you so much for this video, it makes my day
I'm really surprised how many bleeding heart ignorant people are making comments. Cropping the ears and docking the tail don't hurt the dog at all. If you don't want to do it to yours, that's great. However, since it does not hurt the dog at all, physically or emotionally, you should really get off your high horses and shut up about someone who does want to do it. I'm not emotionally scarred from being circumsized, it's the same shit.
Sorry endocry, but your wrong mate. I've had 3 Dobermans and my wife's family were registered breeders for years. Traditionally pups are docked well before they are old enough to be able to take anesthesia and they yelp like hell when it's done. In fact it was so bad that many people can't bear hearing it done to their dogs. Think about it, your severing the spinal column! Docking is banned here in Australia for good reason.
Aussie Bike Runs Yeah well who cares especially if there average life span is pretty big there isn't really much of an life effect for them, and honestly they look really ugly with there tails and ears flopped.
I really can't stop watching this video with your dog ! There is no another dog like yours ! A very beautiful dog ! I really want such doberman like yours !
I had a beautiful Chocolate Red Doberman when I was a kid. Best dog ever. During the Blackout of the late 70's in New York, someone broke into our home. My Dobie was going nuts. I ran downstairs and unleashed him and he ran up to the 3rd floor and ripped the thief a new defecation exit. He protected me (I was a kid), my little sister and my mother who were home alone. The thief ran out with nothing and left a trail of blood down our stairs. Wish it didn't happen, but glad we had our Dobie.
Liked "defecation exit" reminds me of that old Death Wish scene with Charles Bronson where he laid a bed of nails under a window and the next day you saw bloody footprints leaving.
Beautiful Doberman. Your "review" sounds very amateur. Sounds like your selling a product with very limited knowledge. Not knowing the colors, saying you dont have to trim nails, "they just kind of sit like this"....just odd. I have a dobie that lives with me and have been around dobermans, try talking about how great they are as dogs and companions and not like a walmart product.
I was with you HardlineFeminists... until you pulled the sex card. Not that you will give a shit probably, but as you said, this is here for us to voice our opinions.
Stunning dog, can see that you've had some rescue experience, looks awsome. Great work & nice upload. Always good to see a vid with a real insight to the breed. Great stuff. Ps he's not Ugly!! ;)
i agree, i love the softer appearance with their ears intact. however, i've read and heard quite a bit that their tails are so skinny and bony that they are more prone to splitting from smacking into things as they wag, which is incredibly painful for the dog :( i don't know of any breeders that don't crop their tails, but i've seen adult dogs with full tails so it's something to think about i guess.
It's supposed to be a benefit to the dog. I have 3 dobermans. 2 of them have cropped ears and 1 with normal ears. I love this breed of dog. Taking off the tail and ears are a benefit because it's supposed to protect them against other dogs. The tail and ears are sensitive and if they were damaged later in life it will hurt them t have them taken off.
you could make that weak argument about any breed, and it'd be just as weak. the tail cropping is because the doberman breed is prone to tail splitting which is painful, but the ears are purely aesthetic so don't kid yourslf.
because if you don’t they can get your infections constantly keep in mind can it depends on which line you get depends on how floppy it’s years are if there’s a gap in front and back and how wide that gap is away from its head the shorter that ear and the further away it is from the skull the less prominent the infections will be I know you didn’t ask but you were probably thinking it why dock the tail and that’s because it’s boney and of the really excitable so if there in their kennel and they see you coming home they might get extremely excited and start wagging their tails so much that they beat it raw against the sides of the crate granted this would happen over the period of days or weeks and it’s most prominent with pit bulls but it’s still really prominent with Dobermans that’s why your dog detail as well as a shit ton of other reasons such as better movement as in more agile they have to use their sides to balance instead of the retail which also increases their thrashing power because they use the same muscles
So, you've seen dogs playing with each other in the park, right? You've seen them using their ears and tail to communicate with each other in some kind of secret dog code, right? But hey, at least his ears look 'cool'…
the ears were actually cos the dude who created the breed was a tax collector and going into some dodgy areas he didnt want folk having something to grab hold of, a dobies ears were actually cropped WAYYYY shorter than nowadays, and the show crop they do looks fucking ridiculous imo. almost cartoonish, dobies are bosses though, although cane corsos are tougher all round dogs,
Look in nature and tell me a single canine that has naturally floppy ears... I'll wait. Floppy ears was a man made trait given to dogs through selective breeding. Don't speak if you don't know fuck all about the subject.
dodo19923 I have a cane and a Doberman and I promise you it's the handler that directly affects the mannerisms of your dog regardless of breed. naturally dobermans are way more protective and more alert whereas corsos have a much higher prey drive.
@Cera Nelson if you left the tail undocked, it'd be very painful for the dog because the bones in the tail break veryyyy easily. The ears however, could be left any way. I have a doberman puppy and he got the show dog ear crop. It looks very nice. Just my preference of getting the ears cropped.😊
I live in Louisiana., my Buster can not take the heat..and those heavy ears cause infections and bothered him. He has his ears cropped ..he is healthier for it. A Doberman's tail is very thin..I have a huge Dobie, that tail would be splintering and painful, I am glad he had it docked as a baby. He has enough to wag and for us to grap..lol. it looks like a handle and we goose him. He gets his squeak toy and gooses us on the behind as he squeaks it when our back is turned. He is a happy and healthy dog who is much loved.
You nailed it! My neighbors Boxer was never exercised, yet my Lab is exercised like crazy. And he is STILL 5-10 or pounds over weight. Every single fixed dog I have ever seen age horribly! I am NOT an advocate for fixing. People make it seem SO HARD to just keep the dog natural.
I miss my dog, she was just like this sweet one except half Doberman half Rottweiler, was definitely friendly and protective of us and went with me everywhere, even walked me to the bus stop when I was a kid and tried getting on the bus with me too lol. Good memories, I'd love to have another one, one of the best pets I ever had.
We just lost a similair colored female to liver issues. She was almost 10, she had the docked tale and natural ears and never had an ear issue at all. I prefer the natural hound look but I am not religious about the issue. As long as they have a good owner that is all that matters. My wife had the dog when I met her and I had little use for the breed. But after a short time I found her to be the most rewarding animal I have ever dealt with. I'm no wimp but when we had her put down I cried like a child. We look to get another later this year.
Dobermans in my opinion are the best breed, I have own 2 and lately have just put my 13 year old down. Somewhere down the line they supposedly going to pass a bill about no more cropping of dogs ears in this country to.
the tail cutting is also a safety issue - they can smack their very thin tail, bruise it or break it, and get a deadly infection. additionally, a bruised tail will impair their readiness for battle. they don't even feel the ears and tail past the first day cause of the pain meds and they way dogs heal. my baby healed completely in two weeks! that was almost eleven years ago - she passed in december. don't take em for granted they generally don't last long - twelve years is the high end.
@@C_AVATAR that’s horrible news...I’m sure the jabs containing who knows what that they force on them have nothing to do with it (sarcasm). I think epigenetics is real and the environmental factors are taking their toll on every creature on the planet.
@@anonymouscoward9643 Doberman Planet just put out a video "How quickly a Doberman actually ages-compared to other dogs" a 10year old Dobie is 70 YEARS old...
Love your Dobermann (we add an extra n to the name in the UK) My husbands sister bred Dobermanns in the 1980s and we have had three in total, our last one died in june 2011 and we miss him so much. They were black and tan dogs and very clever and impressive but also so kind and gentle. They were from Scottish/ European stock and as you say they have a bigger chest and slightly taller however the life span has got shorter through the years since the 1980s .illnesses more common C.D.M+ Wobblers.
@Jay609Bro I had a doberman for 10 almost 11 years (and are going to look for a new one today) and she pasted away from cancer, but she was an ENORMOUS doberman. She was a100 pound female. She was just giant and very muscular (but she was the runt when she was a puppy, wonder what the others grew to??) but we had people hide in cars and actually across the street in bushes a couple times.. Odd calls from neighbors "Well, the builder is hiding in the bushes, bring your dog in" LOL
Yeah, Western Europe is going a bit crazy about cropping dog's ears lately. In my opinion, Dobies look WAY better cropped and docked. I cropped my dobie's ears when he was about 3 months old, and he didn't have any trouble with it. If anything, he liked all of the extra attention I gave him with the daily re-wrappings and ear-rubbing sessions.
Good review this was one of the few videos that made me want to purchase a doberman. If I were to give advice to any future doberman owners it would be that of educating yourself about the breed and doing research first and foremost.
@TheRunescapePlayerz Short ears are called a "military cut" .. longer ears are called a "show cut" I brought pictures along with me to the vet and let them know we wanted something just barely taller than a military cut
In addition to what you said, Dobermans are very social and require a lot of attention from their owner. So, you shouldn't get one unless you have enough time to spend with it (be ready to walk it twice a day). Having a second dog around the house to keep them company is not a bad idea too. Great video!
I LOVE Dobies & grew up w/ them my whole life. Its all on the person behind them. I think docking of the tail/ears is elegant on them, but its the owners choice. Theres new methods to make it less stressful/less painful. I work in a vets office & docking tails is done at 1-3 days old, they dont remember it. We had one whose tail wasnt docked, it was a whip, everything it hit caused it to bleed. Over time vets recommended having it amputated & said it could have been prevented w/ it being docked.
@kjason725 The ears are taped pretty much 24/7 for a few months IIRC IT will depend on how 'tall' the cut is (shorter cuts are faster) and how much the puppy scratches, etc
I got a dobie lab mix pup, I call her my Lobie, and she is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Cropped or no, Pedigree or no, these are amazing dogs!
Makes me miss my neighbors doberman, who died of old age, a year ago. Many people don't realize dobermans were more useful to our men in the Pacific in WW II than even german shepherds (which I've owned, by the way). Dobermans have, according to their vets and handlers in the Pacific, more accurate ability at sniffing out bombs and trip wires. They were then the official US Marine dog.
I have a three year old Male black & tan Doberman with natural ears and docked tail. It's inaccurate that they're ears are cropped for purpose, it's simply to create a more intimidating looking dog the trend has just continued throughout the years. On the other hand, the tail is best docked simply because they can break and will definitively break other things. Dobermans are GREAT dogs, but they're definitely velcro dogs, they want to be with you at all times, they are SUPER loyal.

I got a doberman last year he totally gets along with my chihuahua which i have had for 6 years they are great guard dogs and loyal companions
as a kid my mum and dad bought a doberman and i can honestly say that dog was so loyal and a true protective friend.
best breed by far!
Smart dog.
You mentioned about your Dobe not having to trim their nails.. I have owned Dobe's for over 30 years and I have always had to trim them. Now, with that said IF they are on concrete all the time, they could trim them down that way.. but for most of the time, they do need to have their nails taken care of.
My pup chews his nails when they get long.
Mine too... have to cut them once a month at least.
We have two female dobermans, best dogs ever! And yes...they keep our house safe!
I have a Doberman for a good 10 months now, made me a better person... Love you Ronny!
I have a Doberman and he's the calmest dog ever, always wants to petted. Love dobermans very smart dogs
Probably my favorite breed. Perfect dog for my lifestyle, too.
The ears are done at 8 to 12 weeks old. A Vet ussually won't do them after 14 weeks, as the cartlidge has hardend too much.
Circumcision ,Was about obeying God.
CINDY Lituyas Loon
I don't believe in God. And to be honest, what true God would demand that you hack off a part of your son's body to prove that you believe in him?
+Mark Gailmor Jews seemed to never really care about the god really.
Mark Gailmor In high school I dated a boy from Germany who had not been circumcised and though he practiced good hygiene, he frequently needed to scratch himself there. That's all the detail I'm going to provide. My three sons are very glad to be circumcised--and it wasn't for religious reasons.
It's amazing how God's laws have applicable results in the world, great how that works
+CanadianCaesar Exactly what I was thinking when I read about the bleeding ears.
He's a very calm and obedient one year old male. looking forward to having him around.
how did that work out?
this dog is 11 years old now
yup
Gear Websites awesome dog!
Dead now
Jarvis Rodriguez 3 years ago 15 yrs old
Jarvis Rodriguez I was 15 years old
Your doberman is very patient haha. Mine is as wound up as a tight spring. Then again, she's just a little over a year old.
I am going to get one, not yet but I know when I'm older I will
Our beautiful Doberman's nails grow long and fast.
Pretty sure the ears are supposed to be cropped at 7-10 weeks of age
There's no age requirement as long as the cartilage hasn't hardened yet.
I cropped my dobie's ears at 12 weeks, kept them posted for 2-3 weeks, and it worked great.
I'd Say 12 weeks maximum 8-10 weeks if possible. Or just don't. You can use their ears as a napkin
HE IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!! i had a doberman wen i was younger and she lived to be 14!!! the best friend you can ever have right there. LOYAL DOGS!
Walking your dog. Cement files the nails down. Common sense.
If they run on hard soils no need to trim their nails, I never had to...
Was heaven.
thank you, he had a great life, and I hope, a good passing
Ugly?!More like ADORABLE
Aussie Bike Runs
A tail is not a spinal column, it is a tail, there is a huge difference.
Wrong again my friend, tails are a continuation of the spinal column. Look at any texts on anatomy for verification.
Aussie Bike Runs Yeah well who cares especially if there average life span is pretty big there isn't really much of an life effect for them, and honestly they look really ugly with there tails and ears flopped.
Allen Sahakyan You are what's wrong with society
I love these dogs so much. I'll be getting my first Doberman puppy in about 3 weeks and I couldn't be more excited! :D
Lol he said he's not gonna be in a show cuz he's ugly? That's messed up
Thought it was a joke, IMO. He certainly is not ugly.
I really can't stop watching this video with your dog ! There is no another dog like yours ! A very beautiful dog ! I really want such doberman like yours !
Whats next, an unboxing!?!? Haha
How did he not get angry during this
Because hes a doberman
Why would he
It's his owner...he will tolerate anything from this guy
Ive met a few and they are very gentle .A beautifull dog .
Stfu this isn't your video so don't tell people how to make their videos. Good day.
***** hahaha I feel so bad for you.
I was with you HardlineFeminists... until you pulled the sex card. Not that you will give a shit probably, but as you said, this is here for us to voice our opinions.
HardlineFeminists If you weren't so man-hater you'd be right...lost all credit with the hate :/ guess someone never got laid
Very informative video, good job. It look so calm and steady.
A stud tour? Must be nice lol.
I had a Doberman for eight years. The most intelligent and loyal breed. I am looking for another pup. I'm local here in Tucson AZ.
Lol this is like a product review
Stunning dog, can see that you've had some rescue experience, looks awsome. Great work & nice upload. Always good to see a vid with a real insight to the breed. Great stuff. Ps he's not Ugly!! ;)
why cut it's ears :(
i agree, i love the softer appearance with their ears intact. however, i've read and heard quite a bit that their tails are so skinny and bony that they are more prone to splitting from smacking into things as they wag, which is incredibly painful for the dog :(
i don't know of any breeders that don't crop their tails, but i've seen adult dogs with full tails so it's something to think about i guess.
It's a personal preference. I have Dobe's with natural ears as well as cropped ears. The cropped ears make the Dobe, look more intimidating.
Our Doberman is sweet-natured. Growing up in the 70s as I did, this sweetness has proved a pleasant surprise.
Dobermans long floppy ears can cause problems their tails when long and natural are fragile and break easierly
my parents don't let me have a dog but when I grow up I'll definatly have a doberman. I've been in love with these dogs since I was 2nd grade.
Doberman doesn't have to have cropped ears and tail other wise they would have born that way. They look better with their ears and tails.
Great information here! I'm thinking about getting a Doberman pinscher and this just settled me to get one.
He's so beautiful ! I miss mine so much.
He's a good boy..Sure looks lovable!
I am so happy with my Doberman puppy! She is so energetic!
I live in Phoenix AZ FYI I’m a OTR semi truck driver and heard u say your friend is a breeder in Tucson they still breed
no, that was 13 years ago, he stopped, sorry
+Simms Simms no, sorry he stopped years ago
do you still know the name of the place you got the ears cropped I really like the job they did. I want to take my dog when it's time.
Cutest doberman I have ever seen. I want one now.
Sadly, it has gotten where according to Doberman Planet the lifespan has averaged 7-8 years and half pass away from DMC.
@@C_AVATAR thanks friend! I appreciate you.
Amazing looking dog you can tell hes very loyal to you I can't wait to form a friendship with a Doberman.
It's gotten worse from Doberman Planet said...half of doberman's pass away from DMC.
@@C_AVATAR Yes it's so sad 😔
@Jay609Bro I had a doberman for 10 almost 11 years (and are going to look for a new one today) and she pasted away from cancer, but she was an ENORMOUS doberman. She was a100 pound female. She was just giant and very muscular (but she was the runt when she was a puppy, wonder what the others grew to??) but we had people hide in cars and actually across the street in bushes a couple times.. Odd calls from neighbors "Well, the builder is hiding in the bushes, bring your dog in" LOL
That's a ripe old age for a doberman. They usually only live to 7 -8 years.
He's a beautiful dog. I'm working and training myself up to get one. It's a 3 year plan.
@Kitrovanska
Cut with lasers at about two months old, then takes a few months to heal
What a great looking Doberman! I also like what is considered the "blue" colored Doberman with the black and rust being my favorite.
i love dobermanns.. they are very lovely and faithful, enjoy's playing..i have 6 of them... good friends..
He is beautiful. Hope you are joking saying your dog is ugly. Thanks for the info. I’m a new mom to a Dobie Ozzy. I fell in love with him instantly😊
Right on, and yes, just kidding around with him
Yeah, Western Europe is going a bit crazy about cropping dog's ears lately.
Great Dog ! They did a great job on his ears . Really Majestic Looking .
Nice video. Awesome dog, can't wait to get one!
@TheRunescapePlayerz
Short ears are called a "military cut" .. longer ears are called a "show cut"
I brought pictures along with me to the vet and let them know we wanted something just barely taller than a military cut
@IIHighness
Thanks for the support !!
Awww....he looks so relaxed he almost fell asleep :-)
In addition to what you said, Dobermans are very social and require a lot of attention from their owner. So, you shouldn't get one unless you have enough time to spend with it (be ready to walk it twice a day). Having a second dog around the house to keep them company is not a bad idea too. Great video!
great video i love dobermans you should make more video on your dog id love to see it
Love your video. What a gorgeous dog.
What a beautiful Dog! Absolutely beautiful color and coat! I was laughing at times, he looked like he was thinking, "What are you doing Dad???"
@kjason725
The ears are taped pretty much 24/7 for a few months IIRC
IT will depend on how 'tall' the cut is (shorter cuts are faster) and how much the puppy scratches, etc
Done :-) Kilroy is 7 years old. Got my first Dobe 30 years ago. There is no comparison for intelligence.
I have a doberman and i love him with all i got.
Dobermans are GREAT dogs, but they're definitely velcro dogs, they want to be with you at all times, they are SUPER loyal.
very nice dog :) i been looking in to this type of dog and i love they style of it how are they with kids are they good with each other and about how much does a full blood run for thanks for the video very good :)
