Enjoyed the video. One comment: if the diff screw had been a hex, it would make it quite cumbersome to adjust once installed in the buggy, wouldn't it?
I don't think so. It doesn't matter if you use a flathead or hex. But the size of the flathead is strange, it's very wide, and a wide tool won't fit. So you'll end up using a smaller size which damage it a bit. Hex would be easier 😉
@@hofsplace Yes, but would the screw be accessible with a hex driver without first partially dismantling the suspension - isn't the axle in the way? As far as the wide spacing, could you not just use an Allen key and approach the screw from the side? I am basing this from my experience with vintage Schumachers which use a similar screw. Anyway, I subscribed to your channel.
@@madvente yes, you have to remove the axle before you can access it. The main point of it being a flathead, is that Tamiya started to use hexes in their cars. Only a couple philip and one flathead left to be changed to hex 😉
I'm trawling the BBX builds to see if anyone has customised theirs with a truck body. I think this chassis is screaming out for it. Im hoping for something like the Kyosho Outlaw Rampage body set. That would be awesome.
I’m thinking about picking one of these up. I have a 3900kv combo I would use. I have a 3S I can use as well if it’s not fast enough. I’ll probably up the pinion to 20-24T. I thought about dyeing the cage to dark red and going with Corsa gray or Cobalt green.
@@hofsplace oh wow that's twice what as fast as mine currently is. Just ordered the slipper clutch so I dont destroy the drive train. Hopefully it gets here the same time as my new motor and esc
@@hofsplace whoa!!!!! Oh man, now I can't wait to have this setup. Right now with my setup I'm only stopping out at 11 mph which is a far cry from 51 mph
I bought a BBX last week. Will be my next build!
Nice! Have fun
Awesome color! Looks awesome!
How long is the run time on one battery?
That depends on a lot of things. Battery type, capacity, how you drive it etc
Great job
Wanted to get one but dont have any skills to assemble it
Looks a bit complex for someone without talent
Where you located? Perhaps I can build it?
In Australia but thanks for the offer
Might just admire from a distance for now @@hofsplace

its 5400kv good for cornering bro?
It's a bit to fast if you ask me. I recommend to so 4200-4800 or something
Great looking buggy for sure. 👍
You should get the slipper clutch. Even know if 7700 Castle system.
Yeah I'm gonna be running the 7700 castle system on mine.
That looks like a fun build!

Sounds like a good plan! Regarding the KV, perhaps it's fine, just play around with it
God damn, i love this!!!
Awesome job..
What top speed did you get with this motor/esc combo????
Not tested yet, but I guess it's about 45mph. Probably I'll make a test video

@@allanmonster111 I just did a speed run, 51mph!
