It's IceHud - Shows your own health and mana by amount and % and your target's health and mana aswell. Very useful as you can concentrate easier about what you got and need.
I believe that its called "CBH Viewport". If it is the same thing that Ciderhelm is using, then that is it. It's quite nice, because not only does it give you some black space to organize, it also gives you more of a panoramic view.
I just want to add that the comment about dps not being able to attack the kobolds because they are on the dps' back is not entirely true. I can't speak for melee, but as a lock I was able to turn around and dps them off my own back. While not very effective because of their interrupt, it will get them off of you faster than if you weren't helping out. Instant casts and Backlash procs helped out here. All in all Excellent guide and easy fight.
Phase one is pretty easy, didn't know about the disarm trick, that'd make that fight a joke. We were able to take up to 4 stacks of the debuff without issues. Hands of Protection helped a lot, though. We noticed he'd randomly switch aggro on us sometimes... Neither of us would have been taunting, but he'd move to the other tank randomly every now and then. It was weird, but it didn't really hurt anything.
Well, they did add one joke. "Recent studies have shown that standing in fires is the leading cause of severe burns and can even be fatal, so it's best to move out quickly". I found that a bit funny.
Cider you forgot to include the fact that if you get hit by the charge, he will enrage for about 10 seconds. And if he's stunned at the end of the stun he'll do an aoe to all near by players.
Plus... it's the first boss. I'm pretty sure everyone remembers how easy FL is. The second boss also looks fairly simple, but is definitely a step up from this.
You'll notice that the people who get mad are usually DPS which right off the bat they don't know what they are doing so they can't imagine themselves doing something wrong in the fight
He's not bitching, he's telling you what the rest of us are thinking. If you want to see the loot, go on Wowhead or Wowarmory. Simple as that. What purpose would you have for seeing one instance of loot that drops from the boss when you can go on a site and view EVERYTHING that drops?
I honestly think raid guide videos don't even need humor in them. They're simply just guides or instructions on how to complete an encounter. If you want humor, search for it, but you certainly won't find alot of it in raid guides.
Id like to add some additional info about gorlock the Impaler. He only has 4 snobols on his back, after those 4 have died. No more will pop up after those.
The problem I had with this is I was OT-ing Dreadscale and kiting him around when he dropped the poison clouds, but the only people with the poisons would be me and the MT, so we could never get to each other as I was further away. I was being told to run to other people who had Paralytic Poison and this caused the worm to spew on the raid wiping everyone.
One thing he forgot to mention is if someone does happen to get hit by Icehowl, he will enrage. Have a hunter ready to use Tranquilzing Shot if this happens.
Phase Two is all about raid cooperation. People need to stay away from the worms when they're burrowed and coming back up. Someone else (we used a mage) needs to pick up the fire debuff and run it to a tank if he gets the paralytic toxin. Otherwise, it was pretty easy... Even with the enrage on the second worm, it wasn't too bad.
I still couldn't find where the zoom out "all the way" button is, because if i knew how to zoom out that far it would probably really help me with tanking if i can see everything around me more. ty for the response though, i just don't know where to click in the options.
Phase 3 boss hits stupid hard. 13k melee hit, 20k headbutt attacks. Healers either have to blow their damage mitigation cooldowns when they can, or tanks have to rotate through their survival cooldowns.
I would indeed be interested to see the studies you mentioned in this video, I have guildies who still don't take my word for it. fire is bad m'kay? it burns you.
Tried this earlier tonight, took us four tries. I was the OT, my Buddy was the MT, I'm at 29k hp unbuffed 25% dodge, 17% parry, and 18% block as a Pally, my buddy's at 32k hp unbuffed with 23% dodge, 18% parry 23% block as a Warrior.
Macro... /script SetCVar("cameraDistanceMax",50) run the macro, then scroll out the way you normally do and the camera will keep going :) You won't notice it if there is a wall or something behind you as the camera automatically zooms in then. Make sure you're in a wide open area and you should be able to see it.
The way that he said they were going for an achievement on the 2nd boss the two worms is true but you do this way as well so the other worm does not enrage which increase damage by 50%
Great video but I have a stupid question: How do you get the camera angle so far out? I have gone under interface and set the camera to max or high and it's still not all that far out.
My guild recently tried this encounter(s), and our main tank was a Druid who's buffed health was around 42K and a Warrior OT who was around 31K buffed. We were fine...
i love this place, on normal 5 man and heroic 5 man as they are called now, i have won 5 epics in about 4 runs, the edge of ruin, a chestpiece, a cloak, a trinket and shoulder totc is a little op methinks

The Jormungers are harder on 10 man than 25 man, from what my guild says. Did 25 man on this Sat night. Snobolds on first phase is annoying, but the fire is the most important part. People get so focused on killing snobolds they don't realize they're standing in fire. Once you get past that, cake.
I had a lot of problems with the worms last time I tried... the moving worm would hit me (OT) with Burning Bile but I couldn't run to the rest of the raid because he would spew on them, and I was busy kiting him around because of the slime pools. We wiped several times - I'm not sure what I should be doing; in the video it doesn't seem to hit the OT with Bile at all, but every time I tried I got Bile, MT got Paralyzing. Should the rest of the group run to me, instead of me run to them?

I don't know if the healers just screwed up or if pallys have it easier on this fight. Anywhom, I noticed as a tank, standing further away from him and taunting him after stuns, ice breathes, etc. would prevent a lot of damage on myself, so you might want to try that out. With a half pug / not very geared group we managed to down this in about 14 minutes.
question, we ended up killing one worm wayyy faster than the other. and i got the bile on me but i had no way to cancel itt out because of the other worm being down. What do?
4500 or so, I wouldn't worry about the gear score though, rather than how you're gemming and gearing. Make sure you're doing a good amount of dps, because if you're not, or you're not gearing correctly, then what good is a gearscore?

Also, if you have a priest in the raid with you, you can have him/her cast levitate on the ranged and healers to prevent the fire bombs.

It's important to note in phase one that Gormok is disarmable, reducing his melee damage by a significant amount.

Hunters, when hit with a snowbold, hit deterrence. No damage at all incurred, helps out healers.

unbuffed doesnt mean anything buffed is what matters as some people may not have a priest or use flasks etc

Damn patch screwed up all my addons. It keeps coming up with error messages in the middle of my screen everytime i do something.

is DBM the only way to tell when the other tank has the 3 debuffs from first boss. Is vent your only other option?
