It’s not flickering a lot though, I’ve seen a lot worse. But my question is, is it okay to leave it as it is for ever? Is it going to affect negatively the car?
On my 2010 Odyssey, I have the xenondepot 9005 led kit and I didn't need any resistors. It doesnt flicker or no DRL warning light. Still have my highbeams you lost your highbeams now with this particular led.
I bought the same type LED headlights off eBay the problem I am having there's no difference between low beam and high beam on the brightness and the low beams cut out from time to time could this mean I need load resistors thank you
I tryed to put led lights in my 2007 Acura TL and 1 led bulb works wit stock bulb but doesn’t work with both led bulb?? Please help me out this is driving me crazy.
The amazon page for the resistor says that it typically doesn't work for Japanese vehicles. Judging from the video, I'm assuming that's bs for hondas generally?
I have. 2006 sienna le whit halogen drl lights I tried to change them to led and won’t work! The high beam work perfectly! I use a resistor and nothing! Need help when I install one led and one halogen only the halogen turn on using drl!!
Sorry, the links are confusing, since making this video, I installed the Auxbeam F16 LED light which did not require load resistors. That's the link listed. I have taken out the load resistor links. ua-cam.com/video/9gS0R3k4WO0/v-deo.html
I have an 05 Chevy Cavalier. I replaced my headlights with an LED bulb and the headlights function properly. However, once I switch to my daytime running lights (DRL), it then hyper flashes. Should I get the resistor or the Canbus decoder for my type of bulb instead?
will this resister work on break rear strobe led light bulb? the reason why I'm asking is because I hear that without the resister these bulbs tend to burn out
Thanks good explaining. is there a way to install LED daytime running lights that dim during the day but at night when you switch on the high-beam they go to full brightness. My 2010 Subaru with LED high beams during the day are running at full brightness. Is there some way to dim the LED bulbs during the day?
I know there are different decoders on the market. Some don't use resistor, but instead use a capacitor across the + and -. I am not sure what decoder the 15 Civic needs, but there is probably something out there that will work for it.
Well I know someone that has a 15, but it's an SI and they got the same one j did, however they're bulbs are different from mine. Would the bulb make a differemc, or the SI model?
Great video. The problem I'm having on my 07' Acura TL, is when changing to 9005 led bulbs, only one bulb will ignite. I can't get both bulbs to lite up. Do I need a load resistor for this problem too? THX
Do the DRL turn off when you turn on the low beam? Your video shows that the 9005 led is still on when you turned on the low beam headlights. The 9005 DRL are supposed to turn off when its dark out correct? Or when you manually turn on the low beam headlights the DRL automatically turn off. Correct?
Turning on low beam headlight will turn off the DRL. In the video, I did not turn on the low beam, but instead I turned on the high beam light which on this Honda Odyssey will automatically turn on both the low and hi beam light. I did that to show how the DRL light will go to full brightness when high beam is on.
Thank you for explaining PWM... I was going crazy to find out why my H7 LED DRLs were "pulsing" on a really fast rate while recording, but not noticeable to the naked eye. The set of LED I have do get very bright once you turn on the high beam and the "pulsing" stops. My only question is, would this pulsing damages the LED overtime? My set comes a very small ballast... BroView S7
So if I replaced both sets of high beams and low beams with LED bulbs, I would need to buy 4 of these? And as long as the lights function properly is it fine to drive with the DRL light on?
So I bought some high end Sylvania LED bulbs both high and low beam. I replaced factory halogen bulbs on my 2015 civic si sedan and the headlights look great, both high and low beam are working properly, my brights are working properly, the only thing that's strange is that my daytime running lights are still the factory halogen color. I have no idea how that possible since the DRL's come from the high beams, on my car. I called the place I got them and they said a few other people have ran into the problem and that basically they had no clue what was wrong. I don't understand how my bulbs would be outputting halogen light when I replaced all headlights and they are all working perfectly in LED. Please help if you can because I am so lost haha.
Yo, how r u and the honda? Have u found this issue and how to fix it yet? I have a 12 civic, replaced o.g. bulbs with different halogens (high/low beams) Dell's are STILL PISSY YELLOW!!!! should I replace them all with LEDs????
hi i recently bought led headlight bulbs for my civic they work but as you drive they are not at bright as the factory halogen bulbs. you can barely see the ground. the seller claims load resistors would fix this and the would not be so dim. would you think load resistors would fix this?
by any chance, can you leave a link for the Resistors? I bought some LED's to replace the DRL, Even though they are marked as 9005 they are round and don't have the right angle bend as the OEM lights have, There is plenty of room for the bulb but I can't get my hand in rotate them, especially on the passenger side. The right angle of the OEM 9005's allow a "handle" so to speak to twist the bulb into the socket. But there is no way for me to twist the round barrels of the replacement units. Local Honda dealer wants $40 for labor to swap them.... nice video!
You should watch my latest DRL video using CAN BUS driver instead of load resistor and you maintain your high beam. ua-cam.com/video/9gS0R3k4WO0/v-deo.html Some of these aftermarket bulbs are difficult to install, but you just have to take your time and try. If you still need to buy the load resistor, just search on Ebay and many sellers sell them. They are 50W 6 ohm resistors.
It's really cool that you have the same Honda Ody as me, so it makes everything so much easier :) I used many of your videos and applied them to my own car. I'm gonna have to try this as well. I also changed out the factory bulb to a blue 9005 hallogen, but it still looked factory dim brown. Thank you for your videos and help. ~ Roger Serafin
Have you had any melting issues or fires? I have a similar setup where my front turn signals are also running lights. So I bought switchback bulbs that will be white when turn signal not in use and Amber when signaling. I see warnings not to use resistors on lights that will be on long. So will I have any fire hazards or melting issues if I use them for my lights and mount to metal surface?
The load resistors will get very hot for DRL as they are running all the time. You need to securely mount the resistor heatsink to a metal surface to dissipate heat. The resistor itself will not catch on fire as they are rated to very high temp, but it must not contact other plastic pieces are wiring harness.
I got some LED bulbs installed on my car but now I have no DRL. Mine are also running thru high beam. I also installed resistors but still no DRL. Do you know why?
I installed the led bulbs as high beams as well and it showed the DRL in the dashboard but the bulbs dont turn on in the daytime only when I turn on all my headlights at night. Will the load resistors fix that problem?
1rst : With my bright's switched on , they go off. I was thinking that load resistors may help this problem. I actually bought a new pair of these that are longer due to the fact that the ones I have from a couple of years ago are shorter and they don't go completely thru to the composites so it looks like only a "Dot" when you see them in a store window during the day. lol. 2nd: The new ones don't come on at all. I was going to return them as defective but this isn't the first time these have failed for this "Longer" style LED. This may also be a "Load" issue. I was going to try that and see what it does and if it would correct it before I returned them again. Load Resistors do correct other problems as well. I don't get an "Error" because my vehicle's a 2001. Any suggestions ?
Hi I bought the same resistors you have and a led bulb for my drls on a acura tl 07 but when I plug one resistor the opposite light works that does not have a resistor and then when I plug in both resistors both bulbs do not light up but the resistors get hot which is weird because they are getting hot while no light output is given. Anyone able to help me out with this problem? I only worked on it for 30 minutes and gave up on it but will continue on it tomorrow.
I tried the bulbs without resistors and just plugged them into the bulb sockst and they did not turn on. I know it’s not my bulbs because I seen them light up and plus they are brand new. I thought this

MrRangerZr1 wat is xenon pot is that a difrent brand of leds

LASFIT led bulbs do the same thing, plug n play with no resistors or anything, built in fan for cooling.

Why do they look like they are flickering still?
Because the LEDs are junk and they are indeed flickering!
So if I replaced both sets of high beams and low beams with LED bulbs, I would need to buy 4 of these? And as long as the lights function properly is it fine to drive with the DRL light on?
You can pull the drl fuse to disable the light but the highs will still work

THanks for hte video bro! God BLess!
I see flickering and is not from the camera, I did install led DRL on my corolla 12, and it does the same flickering, why is that?
will this work on acura tsx. high beam drl is 9005 .? .
I love this I've been looking 4 a review like this for a while. This explains everything I wanna kno
I’ve learned a lot from this video. Thanks a lot man!
Where did u buy the resistor kit

Please see my new updated video for DRL LED without load resistors. ua-cam.com/video/xuC6pE521iQ/v-deo.html
Great video as always! Love how detailed your videos are!
How did u fit ur hands
It is very tight to get your hand in there. You might need to use a long needle nose pliers to help with removal. Be careful not to break the bulb.
I got some LED bulbs installed on my car but now I have no DRL. Mine are also running thru high beam. I also installed resistors but still no DRL. Do you know why?
Emil Carlover you need to get low and high led b.
with drl, the voltage going to the bulb is lower.....around 6volts, so your led bulbs are not getting enough voltage to turn on
I installed the led bulbs as high beams as well and it showed the DRL in the dashboard but the bulbs dont turn on in the daytime only when I turn on all my headlights at night. Will the load resistors fix that problem?
The load resistor should fix the issue assuming the DRL was working to begin with.
dial2fast yea because it didnt make sense to me that DRLs would only turn on when i turn my headlights on but thanks
dial2fast same happens to me my drl only work when i turn on my highbeams. how do i fix that?
