I tried subscribing to your email and when it asked for the birthday month and year it won’t except it. I also tried making a birthdate up and it didn’t except that either.
I love the look as well! I have done several vases with paint and baking soda and people love that look too. I also did a few coats, then used a sponge to make it look like a clay vase. So cool!
@Sheryl Tucker. You might want to try a little vaseline on the inside of the mason jar lid and top of the jar. Try using a plastic mason lid instead of a metal one.
I love this technique. I think I’m going to start using it instead of the baking soda. The vase turned out awesome. I love this look. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I really enjoyed your tutorial! I’m going to try this out. I actually watch all of your videos and have learned a lot from. I’m 76 so I’m proof you are never to learn. Keep them coming. 😊
I love her videos too. I’ve learned such a lot (only started crafting October 2019! and I now have a craft room 🤭😂) Turned 72 yesterday, I’m yet more proof 😉
Hi sunshine. Very helpful tips shared. You made it clearer for me to understand the difference between these 3 types of painting techniques. I've never heard that from any of my other subscribers so I thank you so much for that. The vase came out wonderful. 🌞🧡
I didn't have time to watch any YT videos this week (not even yours) but I want to wish you a Merry Christmas. Thanks for showing and teaching us so much.
Thank you so much for sharing what a beautiful job this looks stunning I would have never thought of using baking powder have used baking soda and there's quite a difference between the two it's nice to have a variety of different textures have a great day thank you for sharing God bless you and Merry Christmas
Hello! I’m a fairly new subscriber.... Thank you for sharing your work! This project I have to try! I work with glass crafting every day! I’d love to show you what I try with this baking powder technique in a few days. Do you accept photos in any way? My go-to textures vary in my recycled art projects but I mostly use elastomeric. Take care!
Ohhh! I would love to see what you are creating! Head over to Instagram or Facebook and you can send me pictures there.. Link in the description. Thanks for watching Linda
I think this might be a bit to textured but I think I am going to try the napkin technique on a white baking powder vase. I think it might work. Ill keep you posted!! Thank you for watching Mary-Anne ! 🤗 Happy Holidays
Thanks for the inspiration. I know you can’t save the leftover, but I also know you said you can the chalk paint. What is the best kind of container to use to store the chalk paint? I tried Mason jars, but it is so hard to open after use. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!
I have some baking powder that expired in Oct 22, and the beginning of your video you said how when you mix baking powder with a liquid, it fluffs up, is that important for this technique? I was going to throw mine away but thought about mixing with paint because it's more than 3/4 full, I Googled it and this was the only page that mentioned baking powder and not baking soda. Thanks
So far so good for me!! If you want to have a bit more of a bond you could paint your glass vase with a spray primer first then it wouldn't budge. Thank you for watching Brenda ! 🤗 Happy Holidays
Hi. I googled the difference between baking soda & baking powder. Then your video popped up. I'm not sure but I see many using the soda for chalk paint. Yet you suggest the powder. What is the difference? I'm in Australia and powder is very rare and not available in our supermarkets. 🤔
I'm curious re painting glass...without using a primer for glass is the paint on the vase permanent..or can you scratch it off....and is it weather proof..will it withstand being outside? Thanks..
I first seen you try this with yellow on a recent vid I so I went thrifting and found a vase with groves that look like a bee hive. I am going to be trying this today, but I only have yellow chalk paint. I guess I am making a run to Home Depot. 😂

Hi. Absolutely love the BP paint technique 😍 looking forward to trying it out!
Is it okay to use expired bp?
I’m not sure if they expired baking powder would work the same or not you would have to give it a try
I love the finished project. My question is can chalk paint be used?
If you have chalk paint, I would just add the sand to it without the other ingredients
Wow ty so much, I only have acrylic paints…Use white can I add food coloring into the mixture?
I’m not sure I’ve never tried that

I’m wondering if you can still put graphics on this texture. Have you tried your reverse mod podge graphics on paper and/or using napkins?
I think this might be a bit to textured but I think I am going to try the napkin technique on a white baking powder vase. I think it might work. Ill keep you posted!! Thank you for watching Mary-Anne ! 🤗 Happy Holidays

If you put a bit of vaseline around the lid of the mason jar it will make it easier to open :) Thank you for watching Sheryl ! 🤗 Happy Holidays
Thank you soooo much.

Baking powder and baking soda Are very different and they will make a different painting texture also
I'm curious re painting glass...without using a primer for glass is the paint on the vase permanent..or can you scratch it off....and is it weather proof..will it withstand being outside? Thanks..

Deidre, do you spray a sealer over it when it's totally dried?
Yes you can ! Use a matte finish if you want to keep the ceramic look. Thank you for watching Paula ! 🤗 Happy Holidays
💖

So can't use on plastic surfaces? Only glass or ceramic surfaces?
If you were to use on a plastic surface I would spray with a primer first then paint. Thanks for watching

Hmmm! Not sure but a google search I'm sure will get you lots of ideas.. :) Thanks for watching
So I don’t see the written recipe amounts and directions for the chalk paint even in the transcript. Can you provide that?

What a cool technique, gotta try this! Love that color, I'm an "autumn" person, so may get a sample of this to try in my home😁
I love the colour! Thanks for watching Carole
Going to try this out?

Why is that when you do a project you mix and apply everyday so neatly, and when i do it stuff goes all over the place!! 😂
It’s called editing!!! Lol
