Remy is a lover not a biter. He's living his best life now.
He sure is
It pisses me off that shelters mislabel pets as aggressive when they're just simply terrified 😨 This shows laziness and heartless behavior on the shelter staff
@@sallydaniel1023 it's because most shelters don't care and that's truly sad don't pick a profession if you don't like it
@@Scarkinng but there are some outstanding ones, too. I wonder if some workers just have to "close off" or they'd be so depressed by perfectly good animals being killed. That's why I could not do that job, too heartbreaking. But they do see succes stories and that's great. Most shelters have volunteers who assist in finding homes and work on finding dogs in need or in a kill shelter. THAT is a great way to contribute. Ultimately, a person let the dogs/cats down, they cause the death of over 600,000 dogs every year. What a tragedy.
@@KindCountsDeb3773 true
That little girl is the most important person in that dog’s life. She’s his first forever friend, and always will be.
She sure was impressive in her sense of responsibility for a child that age. Mom and dad raised her right.
Animals can sense things. I feel like Remy could sense just pure innocence that a child radiates and clung to that
Or maybe it just comes down to size. A child is less intimidating than an adult...
@ Will Williges : I agree. Dogs can sense many, many things that humans do not have a clue about. I thought exactly as you did while watching this.
@@heyheytaytay Dang we got OP with a heartfelt answer and then you barge in with facts lol
@@jmswell6177 Thats not a fact wtf lol. Althougj that may be true its not necessarily the case. Dogs DO feel energy. There is a reason he felt safe around the kid and i can guarantee its not based on the physical stature.
@@PE93 my apologies for my ignorance
My eyes filled up when the little girl said " I love him!"
That's the kind of heart that all humans are born with. And why do we degenerate so much as we age?
We dont, violence is tought, ignorance is tought, the same as love
@@krns1695 Disagree. Love is natural. Violence is taught. And ignorance exists because you are not taught the right things.
@@jaisekharnair6040 I'd reason violence is the consequence of anger that the parent / caretaker failed to teach how to control-- but once they're older they're certainly taught many ways violence can be done
I didn’t! 🌞
We close ourselves off from fear. Can't let trauma make you less human
What a marvelous family. And we need more people like you
I think the main problem was putting them in shelters and in homes (with bad people I mean)
I mean let them live in the wild
Literally 💕
@@hassanawdi3793 putting the dog in homes?
If they lived in the wild I’m pretty sure somebody would shoot him, if the wrong person sees a dog like that running wild and free they try to get em and put em down.
If that’s not what u mean oops
@@bradentheman1373 where I live in Lebanon u see them live freely and happy and they never attacked me even if I put food and water when there r puppies or kittens near

Your daughter is precious! She has so much gentleness and kindness - you are a great family!
A mature, intelligent and careful child that doesn't ragdoll her pet around like a plaything or screech like a possesed meat-puppet ? Good job parents 👍👏.
Lmao...a possessed meat puppet 🤭😂😂
Yeah, I'm gonna have to add "possessed meat puppet" to my repertoire, that was good.
@@sirbacon761 lol, 😃 definitely a good one..🤭😂😂😂
I love how everytime the little girl started laughing, Remy couldn’t help but roll over and tail wag. Something about her quiet, joyful noises seems to soothe him into playful submission. Love this
I couldn’t foster dogs because I’d end up being too attached. I would keep them all. Seriously though this one just melts my heart.
Some years back, my oldest daughter became a foster mom for dogs, waiting for adoption. Oddly, they were never adopted out to another home. She would become attached and keep them! Her husband, ever so patient, finally had to say enough is enough. She knew it was a problem, but those wagging tails and loving eyes were hard to part with. Three dogs still remain from her foster days, but she has been discouraged from taking in any more.🐶🤗
@@rkf2746 I rescued my current dog from the shelter when he was just 4 months. I think that working in the shelter would be awesome and would allow us to care for the needy dogs, without getting as attached to them as if they would be in our own homes.☺️
@@julievanderleest The one thing Fosters know is that IF they keep fostering, they save another dog in shelters, some kill shelters, and move them on to a new family.
Oh I see that really sounds cool to me Julie

When the mom’s voice broke at the end, I lost it. Game over. What a decent and kind person.

Remy's change is so wonderful. He's really shining in the last bit.
he got to be a Dog, with a family. That's all dog's really want, their people and a home. Cats can be included ! lol
Ok, I LOVE this lady. Firstly, she has taught her daughter to love and care for animals, and second, she was a foster fail twice. I was too and that’s ok. She clearly LOVES animals. Godlbless you, my dear and your precious family of two leggeds and four leggeds
I feel the same way. She is so good hearted!
That really sounds nice to me
He just needed a little girl to love him.
Remy just needed a cute human sister and 2 adorable cat sisters to be happy. 🥰
You don't need to share the same blood to be a *family* ❣️
If people actually took time and had patience to do this with a child that endured trauma, imagine how many lives can be changed.
This. Nothing wrong with loving on animals but how many people are selfless enough to invest in a child like that - a human being who can talk back, accuse you, slam doors in your face on a bad day. Not particularly soft or cute sometimes. They need unconditional love just the same.
TIME, so many parents/guardians do not take the time. They'll be lazy or selfish and not do their job. The negative results are everywhere. It's the hardest job, don't do it unless you can try your best.
Not humans, but these animal teaches us biggest lessons of life.
The love of a child is inspiring to all living things. Remy just found that inspiration, love and acceptance in your daughter. He knew. 🥰🥰

Your daughter is an angel. Remy is a lucky doggo having her in his life. Well done, mom!
Neither animals nor people should be labeled based on their behavior when they are placed in hostile or frightening environments. Their TRUE nature shines through when they feel safe and loved. Remy is a gentle soul indeed!
He knows the innocence of a child. 🥰🥰
That sounds great 😊
Sometimes it just takes a while for the perfect family to find all the right parts.
The bond between that little girl and Remy is so cute I'm tearing up and it's so adorable they just played together

Remy was looking to play with someone his own size. :D
I feel bad for how scared that dog probably was. :(
From one foster fail to another Remy and the kitten/cats are right where they are supposed to be! It breaks my heart to see stories where an animal is going to be put down because of how they act in a shelter. So happy to see Remy in a loving home with some new best friends 💖🐶🐾🐈😺
What a sweet ending, Remy loved the little girl and he loves the kittens as well. So cute and bless the care giver.😄❤🙏👍👧🏻🧑🏻🐱🐱🐶
My pup Bailey was a bait dog, she’s grown into such a beautiful soul and her ability to forgive people is incredible. Success stories like this warm my heart, thank you for giving him a chance! He’s going to be that little girl’s protector for life and their bond is lovely.
Lord have mercy - poor thing. I really wonder if they permanently forget their previous trauma ? I hope so. Thank you for saving her and giving her a happy life 💖
@@violetfem1808 I would love to have five minutes of their time, even though I know two wrongs don’t make a right. She’s just the sweetest girl, you could tell she’d had a few litters of pups before we took her in (we got her fixed after). She treats her toys and our cats as her babies, they adore her. I wouldn’t trade her for the world, the ones who hurt her didn’t deserve her or her love.
My Loki boy was horribly abused before we adopted him, we think he was a bait dog too. He acted aggressively when we saw him at the shelter but it was out of so much fear. That good boy didn't know how to be mean, he was the sweetest most loving creature I've ever known. He was scared of everything (cats, most other dogs, hand gestures, shoes, jumping, linoleum, stairs, yelling, forks clattering on plates, any noise or sudden movement. you can tell some of how he was abused by what he was afraid of), but it was a joy to adapt to make him comfortable. He immediately loved our other rescue pup and they lived so peacefully together for years. The only time he bit one of us (besides the wakeup bites we got by accident when we accidentally scared him awake, those weren't his fault, it was out of fear) was when we were driving to the vet to put him down. His passing wasn't pleasant and he was in a lot of pain, my husband let him gnaw on his hand to help distract him while on the freeway. Sorry, I rant when I take about Loki, I'm still not over his passing. We lost him 08/08/20. Cherish your babies while you have them, their lives are so much shorter than ours ❤️🥺🐾
@@Rainy-In-The-Desert Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry but thank you for saving him! It takes a lot of work and patience but the payoff is so incredibly worth it. I always tell people not to judge a book by its cover at a shelter, it’s always worth seeing them one on one versus in the cage if possible. When they have that room to move around and aren’t surrounded by a bunch of pups they are much calmer. I’m not a pro, I could be talking nonsense! But that has been my experience.
Bailey will scurry up to anyone with her tail wagging like crazy now but loud noises can still rattle her and it takes longer for her to warm up to men. She’s 100% a daddy’s girl (my dad and her? two peas in a pod) but if he raises his voice over anything she retreats to her bed because she thinks she’s in trouble. Breaks our heart, we always reassure her. Her worst trauma now are the bite scars on her paws, she’ll never be comfortable letting us touch her paws or cut her nails. They cut her nails painfully short so she couldn’t fight back so she associates nail trimming with her past, I wish I could help her work through it.
Just know that you gave Loki a beautiful life, he’ll be watching over you from the rainbow bridge. I treasure them more than people, we don’t deserve them but boy do I feel blessed to have them in my life. They aren’t pets to me, they’re family. 🐱 🐶
@@fightsforsweets those scumbags wouldn't know that kind of love, it's foreign to them.
My ❤ goes out to this little furry rascal.
People don't deserve the absolute right to have animals, this family DOES have the right. Such a beautiful story. Thank you
A child, 1 dog, 2 cats! A perfect family...and wonderful parents♥️♥️♥️
All the videos Dodo uploads is really sweets and makes me emotional
It just shows us how cruel and dismissive of animal life we humans can be. It breaks my heart how many dogs are euthanized for our convenience. Love is the great healer. So glad this dear lady has such an open heart ❤️
If only we could spay and neuter our pets once we were done with puppies and kitties we wouldn’t have overcrowding in animal shelters that euthanize. And if we took in those needed instead of waiting for more to be born. I mean like, LOOK AT US! Popping out kids like rabbits when there are kids in foster care, group homes, and orphanages that need a loving home! Would we euthanize each other to cut down on overpopulation? No! Do we avoid having sex when we now we can’t take care of another mouth to feed for reasons? YES!
As a country, we need to start doing a better job in animal welfare. The UK has a law that ALL pets have to be chipped. In America, some do not want the law or anyone telling them what to do in their personal lives - yet there is so much harm committed by private citizens with animals. It's the "don't tell me what to do" thought. Well, some rules are needed. Especially if there is suffering, neglect, violence and irresponsible actions. Where I just moved to, I've never seen so many strays, lost dogs, discarded pets, etc. and it's tragic. But some don't want a law, some because they want to leave their dog in the back yard, tied 3 ft from a tree with an inadequate doghouse that some dogs have frozen to death in. That person doesn't want a law. I do.
That cool dear

What a great love story! Not only did this woman decide to give Remy a chance, he took to the little girl then the two cats. Amazing growing and loving family! You can see how joyful everyone is and the mom and daughters laughter too!
I’m sooo glad that Remy found a reliable person soon…
He is such as sweet one~🤗💞
yes, never judge a dog by how they are in a shelter, cage. I mean, there are exceptions, but try and see the dog once it's decompressed some, perhaps in the play area on several visits. But still be safe .
To see Remy suddenly open up to Aubrey's child innocence and love was perfect and to see him blossom from there and really bond with her and later those kittens was even better. This is one of the best foster failures I have seen with the exception of the two kittens getting adopted.
The whole scene is so pure and angelic. Leave it to the innocence of a child to make a scared animal happy.

Watching Remy and the little girl brought back SO many memories of my daughter when she was little with our dog. There's something about the giggles of a little child that seems to make an instant connection with animals. I just loved watching Remy feel loved!
My heart is melting. "I love him" too sweet.
Remy just needed love ---- And he understands that when it comes to love - the more you give, the more there is.

What a sweet little girl. It seemed like the kindness she showed Remy was extended to the foster kittens ❤️
Hard not to foster fail with such sweet babies.
Remy is the best dog! He's a born mama - when he bit onto the little girl's tutu on the trampoline I think he was trying to get her to stop jumping about and maybe getting hurt - he was just content to stop her from what he thought was harmful behaviour - what a lovely family for a lovely pupper and all his kids - two kitties and one human!
What a beautiful, caring little girl. Her compassion has no limits. Well done mom and dad.
I love people who care for animals. Thank you so much for saving Remy from being euthanised, and taking care of the kittens. Your daughter is a beautiful loving soul. ❤
Laura that really sounds nice to me 😊
Shoutout to Remy and his humans.
I think it’s because he can not only sense the innocence of her being a child but also children were probably nicer to him than adults. He was probably abused by terrible adults which is why he was probably afraid at first.

If you could imagine the stray's there are often in a bad condition. They mostly don't get normal food they pick up the food from garbage...🥺
Adult cats there look like five months old kitten they are really small and tiny...
There is everywhere much traffic and so the stray dogs live in the background and come out only at night...
Only some single people have the money for their food and of course they aren''t neutered and don't have any vaccinations...
I will try my very best for them and to get a loving home for as many as I could...
