- It's no secret that the parallels between Meghan Markle & Prince Harry on the one hand, and Wallis Simpson & Edward Windsor on the other, are plentiful. Eerie, even. So I thought, why not start a series to deep dive into all those parallels! And so here we are. For part 1, we'll be looking into Edward & Wallis' "Worldwide Peace Movement" and how it compares to Meghan & Harry's "Worldwide Privacy Tour".

Correction! King George VI celebrated his birthday from 7-12 June, not the 3rd. George V's birthday was June 3rd (I misread the V for a VI). My bad! Do you think they deliberately got married on King George V's birthday? Or would that be a stretch?

George VI’s coronation was on May 12, 1937 my grandmother missed the coronation giving birth to my father.

Which is why some have suggested that Wallis should be thanked and not vilified for removing Edward VIII from the throne.

Another similarity between the Duke of Windsor and Harry is they would both constantly ask the King of England for more money and Edward would whine in his letters about how Wallis was never given a proper title. I've been studying the royal family for over fifty years; do I believe Edward would betray his people to the Germans if he thought it would put him and Wallis on the throne? You bet he would. Edward only loved two things, Wallis and money. He was livid when George VI denied Wallis the HRH. He tried everything to get it for her, to no avail until the day he died.
Princess Catherine is as close to perfect as you can get. She is without equal.

The couple lost me long before the “Once Upon A Spare” said he worried about “William and Kate’s” children. Why was he concerned about their mental health while his children remain invisible as he gads about the Commonwealth with Nacho playing Polo? This is brilliant, Edward and Wallis were the template for the stupid two. We all know Megan has never had an original thought.
I've also read Traitor King and agree the similarities are outstanding. Also read the letters! One thing I think needs more thought is that Mohammed Al Fayed bought the lease to Villa Windsor in France (E&Ws home in France) he also owned yachts and hated the British Government and Monarchy... as he wanted British Citizenship and to be a part of the establishment. Yet something else to think about. x

The Windsors can trace their German origins way before the Saxe Coburg Gotha connection which came from both Albert AND Victoria. Her mother was also a SCG like Albert. The House of Windsor’s dynastic roots began in Hannover, Germany with King George I. The dynastic name of Britain’s Hanoverian kings was Guelph.

The news that the president of Ghana denied issuing an invitation to Harry and Meghan was all over X, Facebook, Quora and You tube and has not been denied by Ghana officials. So I guess it is true. You could always email the official Ghana government website and ask them for confirmation.
Strange that both Wallis and Meghan are infertile. They tend to having CAIS,; the signals are having no waist, and long feet and hands, and wide shoulders. That's why I never understood Meghan wearing off-the-shoulder dresses that made her look more like a football player.

Wallis said that Duke of Windsor is sterile. She’s blaming him for them not having kids. However, she’s been married twice before and had no offspring from those marriages. So, they’re both sterile.

His history teacher at Eton was astounded that Harry had no interest in his own family's history! He even gave him a ruler with all the Kings and Queens on to try and get him interested but to no avail. (Reference Tom Bower's book "Revenge"). It really does make me wonder whether the Hewitt rumour isn't so far out after all? 😮

Have to put in a plug for her as it was very good and worth listening to for those interested in this period of history. Read a book about Edward and Wallace and their friendliness with Hitler and some of his team. Also watched a documentary on Foxtel with film and photos to confirm the liaison with Hitler and his ministry. The parallel between Edward and Wallace and and Harry and Meghan is there for all to see. 🇦🇺

Filthy, Dirty Markle will be completely forgotten just like Wallis Simpson.
But, Wallis isn't forgotten and Meghan will continue to be an issue until the titles are finally stripped and Harry (and the kids) are removed from the line of succession. For all of the hate that Wallis continues to receive, Meghan is worse and was terrible even before she met Harry.

I read extensively about royalty through the centuries when I was younger and am finding it interesting that the pattern of jealous, resentful, younger siblings going to war with the rightful monarch continues right up to present day with hapless Harry. There is also a history of scheming mistresses and wily wives, and Meghan Markle could be categorised as one of those, except that she is not strategically wise and neither is she capable of making the masses love her, so she has made herself irrelevant in every way except being married to a prince. As was the case with past spares and their wives, it will not end well for the Harkles. Harry is too far down the line of succession now to ever be king, and his B actress wife has proved herself to be a piece of trash whose moment of fame is on life support. Edward and Wallace sabotaged themselves spectacularly and we’re seeing history repeat itself.

Wallis tried to get out of it, and Edward basically stalked her, so she gave in, divorced Ernest Simpson, and married Edward. She later admitted in letters that she still loved Ernest. The whole thing was just sad. I don't think she was nearly as vindictive and narcissistic as Meghan has proven to be.
Wallis was, at least, capable of loving 2 men: Ernest Simpson and Herman Rogers. The same cannot be said about Meghan. She only loves herself and no one else.
The continued character assas$ination of Wallis is sad. She made a mistake and paid for it the rest of her life. She tried numerous times to flee and Edward stalked her. He outright told Ernest that he was going to marry Wallis and divorce was inevitable. The tables were turned this time around with MM's obsession with the RF.
There is a strong similarity between the two vile ruthless couples, both are despicable

People who’ve really studied this part of history in-depth know that Edward abdicated not for love but because his strong ties with the nazis (c/o Wallis) were slowly getting exposed. I believe he felt pressure from Parliament to abdicate and made him save face by allowing him to say that it was all for his love and desire to marry an American divorcée which at that time meant having to give up one’s Royal position.

The truth is poor George the 6th had to not only worry about a German invasion where his family would have been most likely been executed, but he also had to worry about his crazy brother the former King who was always stirring up trouble. Winston Churchill finally parked Edward in the Bahamas with Wallis because it was thought he couldn’t do too much damage there. Maybe that’s where they can stick Harry there after he gets divorced.
