Too right, I have a foot in Oz and UK, so can speak on behalf of some of the Commonwealth. A lot of folks feel the same, and actually like/love our Monarchy. It's not a Republic here yet (I hope it never is, I love our Royal family, like my ancestors before me). Our strength and stay, a constant, as loved ones leave us the Monarchy endures, and is something you have had in your life your whole life. Sort of a comfort in that. The ironic thing about Megan, she had some of the most expert staff to instruct her and to dress her in clothes that fit her well. She could have had her own kind of royal look, not a copycat. Her assistants were some of the most talented and experienced, but instead of grabbing the opportunity with gratitude and grace, she abused them. If that's how she acts in public, I can't imagine what Harry's life is like. She often walked ahead of him on the Nigerian tour, no clinging onto him unless she had to pull him away from something that held a low priority for her. As an American, I found that going to Nigeria should not have happened. They are dealing with Commonwealth communities. First of all one should know about one's customs & traditions in which H & M paid no attention to. Too right, I have a foot in Oz and UK, so can speak on behalf of some of the Commonwealth. A lot of folks feel the same, and actually like/love our Monarchy. It's not a Republic here yet (I hope it never is, I love our Royal family, like my ancestors before me).
Our strength and stay, a constant, as loved ones leave us the Monarchy endures, and is something you have had in your life your whole life.
Sort of a comfort in that. I find I'm so loyal to the working Royals, who carry themselves with integrity (at least for show anyway). They do represent the Commonwealth, get paid well, so we want good role models as Monarchs.

Comments by native Nigerians during and since the visit suggest it was not. Sadly, this couple just never seems to grasp the right takeaways form their actions, so the real lessons escape them.

How can they call the Nigeria publicity tour a "success?" In the US, the press was on how horrible and inappropriate her clothing was, how thoughtless and rude she was, how much she spent on an outfit to go to a place where she'd be seeing poor children, and how ridiculous and self centered her speeches were etc. And meeting with a criminal was the icing on the cake.

I totally disagree. The only similarity is that both removed their husbands from the RF. Wallis was brought up as a lady and had style, good manners and money. My understanding the British press was not invited. Only People magazine who are very friendly to them. They brought their personal photographer, so not a lot of scrutiny it was set up for favorable coverage.
