Looking like you have yourselves a fine fresh spring runoff going through your property Katy! Also some nice healthy plants in your greenhouse, although I do appreciate the production level concerns too. Watching a man with his sawmill such seems like a great way to pass many helpful, healthy, and active hours! Time change weekend is here! -Bob...
Seeing those tomatoes was so inspiring to me. I hope the ones I have this season look half as good as the one you guys are growing. I will try your bato bucket set up, I am close to transplanting my seedlings into my coco coir buckets but this video has caught my imagination by the root (: thank you as always you guys are superheroes
Hey Doug. I too went with spike brewing for my conicals and had them custom port all my kettles and tuns just the way I like em. Bite the bullet now and go full stainless steel on your chuggers. Those plastic heads fail every time and it's always at the worst time.
agreed! I bought Blechmann rip tides with the try clamp. I spent way too much on this setup but should make brewing easier and hopefully great beer. Been brewing beer since 1984 lol I should have started a micro brewery long time ago before it was such a big thing. Oh well. Let's talk beer, ideas recipes etc...
Great video! The tomatoes and cuc’s look amazing!! Never tried pea shoots before. Gotta love that wood mixer saw! Those thin strip cut-offs would make great wood flags if you’ve ever seen those before. And was that a beer brewer I saw?? Happy daylight savings!
wow, looks great. I got a problem every year with heavy rains that drown my tomatoes. Will Hydro tomatoes handle the water better if grown in the ground?
Big fan ! I have always been a gardener since remembrance. I am about to invest in my first hydroponic house and ALL that goes into it. What is the approximate cost to put up a nice greenhouse like you Al have ? And what is the cost of the trays, auto electronics, etc. for a house ? Thank you bunches ! Rod & Angela
Hi Rod. I'm not really sure now because its been over 8 years since we bought our greenhouse and system. I think the best thing you can do is give CropKing a call and let them work you up a price on an entire hydroponic system and see how it compares to others in the market. When we did the comparison, CropKing was the best so that's why we went with them.
I had a few questions while watching this wonderful video. You said you have harvested 342 cucumbers so far but didn't mention in how many weeks. Also wondering where you order your tomato boxes, we are using plastic and having an issue getting them back from restaurants.
the tomato boxes are from Monte Packaging. Hopefull they have a distrubuter by you, but they work great. 342 cucumbers were harvested over 6 weeks. We just added 63 this week so far so 7 weeks including this week.
We get them from CropKing. I would suggest that if you are looking for something and don't see it on their web page give them a call. they probably have it or can get it for you.
Can I join Doug’s troop? I had no idea there was a brewery merit badge 😳 ! Homegrown adventure channel ? Throw the kayaks in that thar river and ride it to big open water 🤣 ✌️🤙
@@HomegrownPassion 😀 but alas I haven’t brewed a batch in a decade 🤷♂️ , I don’t do rivers no more the last one almost done me in 😳 got swamped & pinned up against a log, and that one if it’s what I think it is Wouldn’t want to deal with the cataract falls 🤦♂️ portaging might be pita around them🤣 .. I know getting to be an old fogey .. The Rolling Stones were wrong time isn’t on my side 😳🥱 ✌️

For some reason I was unsubscribed and didn’t know it, but I was really wanting to ask you how you are doing in Ohio with all the devastation being rought we on you folks.
well, I hope you re subscribed!!! The train was far east of us, so nothing happened here. Very said for those people in that town. we are ok.... thank you so much for asking.
Those cucumber plants look beautiful guys. I’ve had to slow down a bit for a while. Got a new knee on Thursday.
Chuck and Darlene
hey guys. well, we just saw that on the Facebook feed. hope things go well Chuck, and you recover super-fast. We need to get together this summer!!!
I grow "Amish Paste" tomatoes and get the seeds from Seed Savers. My customers LOVE them!
We did Amish Paste in the high tunnel. You are right they are wonderful..

Happy for longer days
@@HomegrownPassion The longer days are very noticeable already, though the time change tonight will jumble things up a bit lol

Not sure. I know they are bred for greenhouse. I would only suggest trellis system outside that's what we did, and it worked great.

What is your re-use, recycling or other disposal strategy for the perlite/vermiculite?
so we compost with other greenhouse waste then mix it into our mix when potting flowers and other bedding plants

Ver6 nice!
Thanks Daniel!
how do you clean up the hydroponic build up inside your containers...........
we really dont have any. we have lots of videos on us cleaning bato buckets if that's what you mean.
I have been re-watching your videos and was wondering where you get your big bags of Horticultural Vermiculite, Crop King doesn't seem to sell them.
We get them from CropKing. I would suggest that if you are looking for something and don't see it on their web page give them a call. they probably have it or can get it for you.
Please, how do you stop roots from coming through the drain holes of the bato buckets? please :)
they don't come through the holes. I think the elbows at the bottom of the buckets keeps them in the bucket
@@HomegrownPassion thank you so much for your reply! God bless you and your family

You're in! Let's brew some beer. I'll watch you go down the river. too scary for me

Where did the name Bradwood originate from?
Doug's middle name "Bradley" and my maiden name "Elwood"
