    Ever consider adding a T at the beto bucket drain tube to add another bucket across from the one thats installed? Idk if you need the space you have but if you don't you could double your real estate. Love your videos and farm! Keep up the awesome work!

    Hey guys! Great video as always! When you said you plant 6 seeds per Bato Bucket of Beans, do you let all of them sprout, or do you pull any to save room? I'm going to make another stab at beans (I think I was running EC to high in earlier ones, but we'll find out) and I wanna make sure I'm not overdoing it per bucket...I do have proper lighting if we did do the 6, so would be able to sustain them.

    • @HomegrownPassion

We have some red ones started, but have a few more kinds that need germinated. They are in Oasis cubes and we just plant those on top. I am hoping to try planting one deeper to see what kind of difference there is. We’ll probably start the tomato video this week or next depended on how they germinate. Hi Devon, I'm completely new to this, I have been growng microgreens under lights in my office and am thinking of an NFT system under lights also. I have 4 raised veggie beds here in my garden in sunny South Africa but the heat in summer just kills the veggies no matter how much they are watered. I am looking at growing using a dutch bucket system under 40%shade netting. What I need to know is what make/model etc. are your emitters, they look really good. I probably can't get them here in SA but can try and get them sent from overseas. Thanks for really great videos they are super informative, I am a young 71years old and looking to try new ideas,
    Regards

    • @HomegrownPassion
      @HomegrownPassion  3 роки тому

      Hi Rupert, sounds like you have a nice set up. We also have to shade our plants in the greenhouse during the summer months, but we use a shade paint that eventually wears off. It works really well, and it gets pretty hot in the greenhouse. I'm not sure if it's as hot as South Africa though, but I'd imagine shade cloth would help a lot. I will post the link to where we purchased our system. Thank you so much! -Devon

      I have florescent for my little system, but I had that for a few years already to start my garden seeds. It works fine, but I'd probably get an led now, especially since that is what all of the indoor hydroponic operations use.
