I found this info on Humblebee & Me: Polysorbate 80 is really useful for solubilizing small amounts of oils into otherwise mostly watery things, like toners or body mists. Just a little advise you would be better to use coloured bottles. Sunlight is a leading cause of spoilage. Both visible and invisible (UV) light can negatively impact the quality of most essential and fragrant oils. Dark blue and green glass offers some protection from visible light, but does little to protect the oils from the most damaging UV rays. Amber-coloured glass has the ability to block most UV rays. This is why you should use coloured bottles to protecting the products that are most susceptible to UV damage, like fragrant oils and alcohol. just saying

Poly 80 creates a clear blend while poly 20 still has a cloudy mix. At least that’s my experience.
To my understanding that's because the 20 is only water soluble not water and oil soluble but I could be wrong

When you purchase your fragrance oils through a reputable company, it will list if the FO is skin safe and what the usage % max is.

It’s called Germall Plus
Polysorbate 20 emulsifies is only water soluble and emulsifies in water as for the , polysorbate, 80 it emulsifies in water and oil. Hope that helps
80 for heavy oils like Jajoba, while 20 for light oils like essential oils.

I just use oil and water...more natural. All the other chemicals not needed...my customers have no complaints
I agree using rubbing alcohol or any other nasties for the skin when you can just use water and oils. As long as they are pure essential oils.

Can the 91% alcohol be used?
I haven’t use 91% before but it should work. The alcohol is what helps the fragrance stick to the skin.

from a quick google i would not recommend methanol for products used on skin 'methanol is very toxic, following oral, pulmonary and/or skin exposure'

All good essential oils should be antibactial, so shouldn't need a microbial to mix in it.
If a formula has over 20% alcohol is self preserving. No need for other preservatives.
DONT USE DYE: if u use dye on ur shirt, it will turn the shirt the color of the dye (eg. red dye turns shirt red)
