I love coming to your channel even though I just found you like last month but I have learned a lot about body mist spray making. I make my own body oils and this was so helpful for me and I just love learning
Another good one. I think because of the viscousness of the shimmer, it may be helpful to try out the regular disc tops, which come in the same silver like the pump tops...also gold, white, and black. They have the 20/410 for the 4oz and the 24/410 for the 8oz.
Love both, but concerned customers wouldnt like the pink one..rather it would mist on , not be so thick. I always look forward to your tutorials! This was another great one! I think using the bases are so much better than making them by scratch.I agree with you on the whole oily look in the bottles even if they come out clear..the base is so much easier looks better, even if it costs a bit more, its worth the time saving and stress!
My question is: is there not a way to "dilute" the pink shimmer body spray so that it sprays on .. not spits lol? Who would want to spray that in their hair? I love scents with shimmer to spray in my hair :)
Thank you so much... How long does the scent last in each spray? What temperature should it be stored in? Is their anyway that you can think the shimmer base without ruining the components? ✨
hi i love watching your tutorial and ive wanted to try your recipes to add in to my collection for my small business, i want to know if rosewater will work as a substitute for body spray base? looking forward on your response. great work, more power
Yes, you can cut the formula in half and add different scents. Just make sure the fragrance you are using is skin safe at the rate stated in this formula.
Will the pink one remain thick or will the consistency change later. Is there an option for a thinner shimmer mist. I mean can we add something to the base to make it thinner.
This may sound like a silly question, but I'm an absolute newbie, just beginning to learn and research making bath/body items. Would it be possible to maybe mix the clear base with the glitter base to make a thinner and easier to spray product? Thanks!
Totally not a silly question. I actually thought about this and tried it. I tried it at a 3 part glitter to one part clear and also a 50/50 mix and the glitter sunk after a day or so in both solutions
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany thank you! It does make sense - the glitter probably requires a thicker liquid to maintain suspension. I appreciate the reply! 😊
Mine turned cloudy :( i dont know what i did wrong. Im using the same base... I do have a couple questions... 1. Are my candle science...(etc) scents that are safe for soap also safe for sprays? 2. Is the percentage for soap the same as it is for body sprays ? Thank you SO much !!!
The only time that has ever happened to me with this base is when I’ve tried using an essential oil. Yes your fragrance oils from different companies should all work in perfume or body spray bases. As far as how much you use that depends on two things. 1. The usage rate of that particular fragrance oil for perfume or fine fragrances. You need to look at the IFRA category 4 on each fragrance to determine usage rates. Then you need to see how much of a load your base can take. This particular base can only hold up to 5% fragrance. If you used More than that it could be why your formula turned cloudy.
Does this perfume base leave ANY type of nasty alcohol smell behind??? At all??? I can’t seem to get my perfumes right because of the weird smells that get left behind and it’s driving me crazy! Even when I let it sit for months still has that chemical smell.
Hi Cory! I've never done body mists. I guess it never occured to me. Could you add your own glitter to the clear base and tell customer's to shake well and spray? Do you think it would then spray out of the bottle easier? Just curious if that would work? I buy a glitter body spray that I have to shake, but I think it also has a touch of oil in it. I don't know the name, only by bottle, but it smells like cotton candy and has holographic glitter in it, lol! Sorry just don't remember the name. Side note: I about got this mess from the tornadp cleaned up and the studio fixed and repainted. I should be able to start restocking and figuring what I need by the weekend! Very nervous about restarting.
Hi Jill, I am so glad to hear that you are almost done with the tornado clean up! I can't even imagine! I am not sure about adding glitter to the clear base. I do think it would definitely sink but it may come out of the sprayer a bit easier.
I’m definitely going to try this base. I currently use one from WSP and I have to put a FO EO modifier in it to keep it clear. I’ve never really liked. I think it feels kinda of sticky. Yuck! Thanks for the info! 🙂
I would use a bottle that pumps out don’t call it a spray, Body Glitter Rub. I can’t think of the name of the pump you would use. I would know if a saw it.Im getting old can’t remember lol
Someone told me to follow the 80/20 rule when it comes to fragrance how do you do the math though if I have 8oz bottle of fragrance how much should I use I don’t no how to use the math???
This video was so helpful! I’m new to this. Question, are the fragrance oils that are used to make soaps and candles different from the ones that are used in perfumes and sprays?
Hello! Some fragrances are rated safe for both candles and skin, and can be used in candles and all body care products including perfume. Some fragrances are solely rated safe for candles. And each fragrance has usage rates to follow to be safe for skin. All fragrances are different. However all of this information can be found on supplier websites in the description of the fragrance you want to purchase.
Hello there. Are these containing any heavy chemicals? Hazardous or cancerous? Please let me know thank you. I read the fine line in bath and bodyworks really upsetting. Doing my research before i put anything in my body. 😔
Hello! Two questions I have right now... are you allowed to add multiple different fragrance oils, (all brambleberry oils), within the 5% of the product? So 2.5% of it would be one oil, 1.5% a second oil, and 1% of the last oil maybe? And with this, is color additives required? I would not be making these sprays for purchase and only for myself so I wouldn't care what color the product is, but is it required to make the body spray work correctly? Thank you!
the problem is that you DONT use "FRAGRANCE OILS " for body or perfume sprays.. although most do..because they are not properly trained or knowledgeable about REAL notes for making sprays with the RIGHT products for perfume, body spray, etc.. Fragrance oils are for products like soaps, bath products that WASH off of the skin. as the FRAGRANCE OILS contain up to 200 chemicals. so for your info DONT use a CHEAP fragrance oil.. maybe if you are only making for yourself but NOT to SELL to the public.
This is your opinion. You can make body sprays and perfumes with fragrance or essential oils or a combination of both. There are INCI guidelines for maximum usage rates on every fragrance oil so as long as you are flowing safe usage rates you are good to go. Just because essential oils are natural does not mean they are any safer to use in body sprays or perfumes. They must also be used properly.
You never fail me...you always put out the best recipes and you know exactly what is trending
thank you! I hope you love this formula!

May use a pump for the shimmer instead of a spray top. Very nice video!
Great job also you can turn on your flash light on your phone to show the glitter

Whoa! I seriously didn't expect the pink to be so pigmemted!
I know, one drop really goes a long way!
Love love this. Cannot wait to try it 🥰
Do you need to add a preservative for this base?
Can we only use alcohol and water to make spraymam

wow, i love this, but cant find the body spray base anywhere within the UK, please help x
if you shake up in the gallon body base in the jug, will it be bubbly like dish liquid mixed in?
I have a question about the body spray base if anyone can answer
Ty for showing us this . Never thought of making my own
How can i add 2 scents? Do i divide the amount of the scent between to two of them ?
Yes, you can cut the formula in half and add different scents. Just make sure the fragrance you are using is skin safe at the rate stated in this formula.
Will the pink one remain thick or will the consistency change later. Is there an option for a thinner shimmer mist. I mean can we add something to the base to make it thinner.
this base does not thin out. I have not found a shimmer base that is thinner.
So that jug of the first base only makes 4 4 ounces?
I think the pink one should have a different pump
You are the very best♥
Hello maam .. would like to ask where to buu the ingredients

Do you need to add a preservative?
no need as this is alcohol based. :)
Why do you need color? Is it artificial coloring? Can you use alcohol free witch hazel instead as base.
I would like to ask where to buy the ingredients and the oil based
what is actually the base for crystal clear body mist?? I cant access Catalina
A twist top might work well! So it’s more of a rub on product rather than a spray.
Cory can you use mica powder to tint the spray
Hi Rosie, you can't use mica in this formula because mica is not water soluble, so it will just sink to the bottom.
What can be don't to make it a litter thinner
Can you add glitter to the clear base?
You can, however, it will sink to the bottom.
Can u give me most common oil fragrance mixs for women
Can you add body oils to thin out the shimmer body spray?
Do your mist smell like alcohol when 1st sprayed on.
This is what I’m wondering too.
Can you use the same recipe with perfumers alcohol

Where can u get the base
I have the Catalina spray base but some of my fragrance oil changes the base color
Yes, this can happen, yellow or dark fragrance oils can tint this base.
Nice sprays. Do you have a recipe making a dry oil perfume spray? Also, where did you get the long handle measuring spoons?
Hi Carmella, I don't have a dry oil recipe for perfume. However, I am releasing a perfume video next week! Those lab spoons, I got on amazon.

Can you make naturally fragranced products. I see you mostly use fragrance oils. I would like to see products that are organic and natural.
Will you be adding these to your website? I like the clear based one? What kind of preservative is in the base?
Yes, soon these will be on the website!
Hello, where can I get that base and essential oil, dye from?
She isn't using essential oils. She is using fragrance oils.
Hi there, all the links are in the description box.
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany Thanks
Very Nice. 💐
Does the pink one thin out when fragence is added
Not really, it stays thick!
Won't the glitter base eventually clog the spray head?

What scent would you use for men?
Can you add gylcerin to this recipe?

No, but if you add too much it can
Can i use vodka as a base?

I didn’t have the same results on a body spray , with 700 g and 5% oils
Does the spritz base already have a preservative in it?
