      She asked to help! She's a good hard working kid. And it was fun to have someone else involved...usually I'm all by myself in the garage.

    I’m glad you put this vid out because I accidentally bought compressor without casing and no other video shows the process to switch it all out like yours does. Parts arrive tomarrow so I’ll be watching this as I do it tomarrow. Tyvm!

    I came across the same issue with the tubing on the old compressor to the new. Followed your lead and it worked out great. Thanks for the helpful video.

    Did it end up working for you. Was it pretty easy to do I have to replace all 4 shocks and compressor. Did you have to disconnect battery?

    • @rhynosgarage
      @rhynosgarage  16 днів тому

      Yeah worked great. Still driving it. No, only did the rear. Front is due pretty soon though. And no I didn’t disconnect the battery.

      @rhynosgarage I put 12v to pin 30 to pin 87 and the compressor turned on. I also tested the relay and it also clicks when I put 12v on. All the fuses have continuity. I have no idea what it could be. I don't know if it could be the suspension module or the height sensors. I'm stuck.

    What is the ride quality vs. OEM shocks and struts? I am debating between these and the Arnott on a 2012 Yukon Denali plus would be replacing the front struts.

    • @rhynosgarage
      @rhynosgarage  Рік тому +3

      Seems the ride quality is very slightly stiffer. Which I didn't really mind as I tow quite a bit with it. But I also wonder if the ride was so soft from the shocks not working well, that it just "seems" to be stiffer when it's really not.

    Do you still like your air suspension kit for your Yukon? Do you suggest anything different at this point?

    • @rhynosgarage
      @rhynosgarage  Рік тому +1

      I do. It’s been really solid for towing. I do hear a creaking sound that I didn’t hear before. Kinda sounds like me when I get up off the garage floor.
      Not sure they are why and it’s not a big deal. But just something I’ve noticed.

    How does the suspension height work? Is it preset from factory or can yoi adjust it? I just bought a 2010 yukon denali and its great just curious because i cant find how it works thanks.

    • @rhynosgarage
      @rhynosgarage  Місяць тому

      As far as I know it's computer controlled by the vehicle's BCM, and just to level the vehicle. Not sure if you can adjust that setting in the computer or not, but I doubt it.

    Great video. What did you do about the front?

    • @rhynosgarage
      @rhynosgarage  Місяць тому +1

      Nothing. The front was still good at that time. But I do think they're about due to be replaced as well.

    I have a 2013 yukon xl denali. Both of my rear air shocks were blown to bits so i ordered 2 and installed them. But the air connection to the shocks are leaking pretty bad and idk
    How to fix it. I also had to order new air lines because there were holes in mine. They will be in in 4 days. Got any idea on how to fix the connection leak?

    • @rhynosgarage
      @rhynosgarage  Рік тому +1

      Sounds like the leak is probably in the air line or the connector at the end of the air line which you should get all together. But, if you don't and you just get the plastic tubes, then you probably might need to replace the connectors too.
      And, worse case scenario might be the connection on the compressor side is leaking and it's not really leaking at the shocks themselves.
      One way to find the leak might be to use some soapy water. Just like you'd do with a gas fitting for the house or to find a leak in a tire. Spray soap on and look for bubbles. Narrowing down the source of the leak would also help to narrow down the fix.
      Good luck!

    Would you still recommend this? Mine is an 03 Denali and whenever i go over pot holes my whole truck just feels like its going somewhere else 😅. I plan on the front as well since im guessing they are all original

    • @rhynosgarage
      @rhynosgarage  3 місяці тому

      Definitely. They've been great. I only did the rear at the time but now need to do the front and will definitely use the same brand again.

    How have they been holding up? I see on their website a couple people said theyre more bouncy than oem. What do you think?

    • @rhynosgarage
      @rhynosgarage  4 місяці тому

      I actually think they’re stiffer than stock. Which I wasn’t sure I was going to like but it’s been fine. And up until recent weeks it’s also been my tow vehicle so the stiffer suspension was a little better I think.

    Where did you buy your shocks and compressor and how is the ride? I just bought a 2013 Yukon and I need to change mine.

    • @rhynosgarage
      @rhynosgarage  6 місяців тому

      Links are in the description for where I got them. Ride is good. Seems like it's just a touch stiffer than stock, but as I said in another comment I don't know if it really is, or if it just feels like it because the shocks were bad and that made the ride worse than factory.

    So, it’s smart to replace this before I put the lift kit on so I can add 26” wheels?

    • @rhynosgarage
      @rhynosgarage  4 місяці тому

      Lift kit would change the geometry. Not sure if you might wanna go with a different setup than factory style shocks. Not sure. I’m not a lift-kit-on-a-Denali guy.

    Did either the shocks or the compressor come with a warranty? I have to do this exact same thing to my yukon denali and i was about to order it all from your link to Amazon. But i cant find any warranty information.

    • @rhynosgarage
      @rhynosgarage  Рік тому +1

      Both come with a 1-year warranty. For the record, I couldn't remember for sure so I emailed their support yesterday (Friday) afternoon and they replied early this morning about 7:00am. So props to them for quick support response.

      @rhynosgarage I ordered both from your link to Amazon and had them overnighted. Got it all installed last night on my 2012 Denali in only a couple hours with my daughter. Your video was a really big help. I ran the hoses back the factory way like you did. I wouldn't have known what to do at that point otherwise. Thanks for the response and the video man.

    How can i know if my compressor stops working? Besides it feels every rock on the road.

    • @rhynosgarage
      @rhynosgarage  5 місяців тому

      Easiest way is to use a bi-directional scan tool and try to run the compressor from it. If you don't have one of those, then put some weight on the back and see if it kick on to level it. Get a bunch of friends and all stand on the bumper...lol

    Did you have any DIC? scan for codes?

    • @rhynosgarage
      @rhynosgarage  8 місяців тому

      Annoyingly no. No codes. But when I tried to kick the compressor on with my bidirectional scanner, it wouldn’t come on. And it was pretty obvious that the shocks were bad.
