Most dental chews contain fillers and lack nutrients. We recommend brushing your dogs teeth instead. This video is great for beginning the desensitization training with the grooming and bathing process in order to create a positive experience for your pup. I've got no idea why Americans hate rawhide. I've asked 3 vets here in Sweden and all 3 have said that rawhide rolls or ground rawhide sticks are perfectly good for puppies to chew on. They absolutely do digest them as well. A Kong or other plastic toy won't let them gnaw like they would a bone. But our rawhide isn't that weirdly white and fluffy. It's brownish, translucent and rock hard.
We’ve eliminated the rawhide and porkskins and introduced Chuck-it balls. They are one of the few dog toys that Murphy doesn’t destroy in hours (or minutes).
My 8 month old pocket bully has his favorite toys but he still chews the furniture. It’s so hard to find something to grabs his attention that he isn’t digesting. What do you recommend?
frozen ribs are realy good acording to the breeder ive talked 2. just check for small, loose bonefragments before giving your pup this.. and you dont have to worry about the rib breaking cause your pup isent big enuf yet! also put a damp towel in the freezer for 20-60 minutes and give it to the pup, this should help with gumirritation + the pup will love the towel later so it becomes a positive association with the towel, i do knots on mine.
When we had a puppy he would sit under my favorite chair in my office it was a wooden chair with little support beams underneath connecting the legs. Over the course of a month he chewed right through that main beam but I didn't mind I'm sure it felt good on his teeth.
We are so glad that you found our channel, too! Perhaps a size small Kong would work best for your puppy! If you notice that your puppy is still fitting the toy in their mouth, go ahead and go one size up!
Just like us humans, puppies can have likes and dislikes as well and that's okay! Their taste preferences also change over time too. You can try freezing the Kong too.
Michelle, do you use dental chews at all. My last lab got loose stools on the "greenie" ones but wondered if you thought any other brand was good

There are many other alternatives that are much safer. Antlers and yak chews are great for super chewers.

Oh my! Hopefully you found some safe chewing options in this video and can use them with your next pup!
What size Kong for a small toy breed puppy to avoid choking hazard? Will be ~8-11lbs full grown. Glad I stumbled upon this channel 🐕🐾💕

How do you clean kong if you have no dishwasher
Soak it in hot water and use a bottle brush
What about Yak bones? My vet hadn't heard of them but big NO for rawhide of course. My puppy doesn't like nylabones. Maybe 5 minutes if I'm lucky.
Yes! Yak chews are great. Here is the amazon link: www.howtotrainadreamdog.com/Himalayan_Yak_Chew
