My 8 week puppy that I got two days ago has basically been potty trained in a day. He only has access to my bedroom which his crate is in, and the backyard. The first night, he had an accident, but he’s learnt to get my attention and go to sit near the back door so I can let him out when he wants to go.
I finally got the Cavalier King Charles puppy I've been waiting for today. I have her with eight-hour and so far I've managed to have no accidents. She's been to the toilet five times. Also when I was eating my dinner I put her in her crate with her snuggle puppy. When I was finished I opened the crate door for her and she stayed in the crate for about an hour then I brought her out to the toilet.
We found our indoor puppy pen was a place the pups thought was a place to pee. So we tried to slowly do away with it and it worked fine we have to take them out a lot and watch them close. If we can't watch them they go in their crates. They are now almost 6mon old and we restrict them to certain areas of the house but would say they are 80 percent potty trained
Absolutely best video so far. I’m excited to keep watching!!! I’m getting a corgi mix in 8 weeks and never thought I would be a dog person but here I am. My partner is wayyyyy too relax with her view of the world and her own human child lol so I’m teaching her slowly too . Humans and animals like structure and clear boundaries where they can learn and be taught and explore. I’m excited to be a dog mom ! This will be my very first time
i think my pup is such a good dog because once we let her out on our first floor for the first time we saw her going back to her pad when she want to pee so then we started to let her out a little more with us even though accidents happend twice but i am still so happy . but we have a question. if our dogs keeps barking during nights and wont stop(even if we leave it alone) so we moved the playpen in my room . i dont know if it was good or not .but still she stoped barking
Do you recommend /not/ moving the crate like one could do for the pen? Like if one was to have the pen in another room while working, and nap time comes around. Would moving the crate in the pen for that time period only confuse them or should I just take them up to the designated crate room? This definitely worries me as I am training a service dog, and to train them they will be coming to the work place here and there just to get use to being out and settling in by my desk.
i let my dog out in the backyard so he can ran around, sniff around, etc. And then after 15 mins or so, he stands in front at the glass door meaning, he wants to go back inside. im not sure if im doing it correctly. Please advise. Thanks Michelle! love your youtube videos! big fan
Our puppy sleeps in crate but does not feel comfortable when we lock the crate. He is 12 weeks old and he is at our place for the past 1 week only. Should we practice him by locking him up and giving treats in the crate? Thanks!
My husband wants me to set the new puppy up in the basement, but since she will only be 2months old and can’t walk up the stairs, I want to set her up in the kitchen. It’s not ideal but it’s the only room downstairs without carpet. I’m still concerned about her becoming overstimulated because my family has the most going on in the downstairs part of the home. Can you give me any advice regarding this?

We just got a new puppy a week ago. She had learned from her foster mom that her pen was a place to potty with pee pads down. I'm trying hard to change that by taking her outside often and crating her when we can't watch her. How do I teach her that her pen is a place to hang out and chew her toys? I feel like I can't take my eyes off of her for a second even when I'm right in front of her pen! Help!

My pup is 10 weeks old. I've had him a week. The first night he slept in his crate. Then I pulled him into bed with me to cuddle at 4 am. The next night he wanted nothing to do with the crate. So I've had him in bed with me every night, which honestly I want my dog to sleep with me. two nights ago I tried the crate again and I literally thought he would die, He was almost hyperventilating I thought. I tolerated it for 2 whole hours and then took him out. I don't know what to do! He is fine with going in and out of the crate during the day with treats etc, but absolutely wants nothing to do with it at night. Help!!!

Thanks so much!
I’m so excited, I’m getting my puppy next week on Friday
We hope that you've had the best year with your puppy!
In my experience a tired dog is a better behaved dog than and under exercised dog.
