Thanks for the video. I'm going to throw a potential destination your way - Robbs Peak, Eldorado NF, El Dorado county, CA. (www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/eldorado/recarea/?recid=77822) It's only 6600 ft up BUT it's in Crystal Basin west of Lake Tahoe. Desolation Wilderness to the east, views to Mt Diablo to the southwest. (Disclaimer: I lived in South Lake Tahoe for 15 years.) Even if you just park and hike in to look (summer) or snowshoe (winter) I think you'll like the view.
When I was a teenager, doing fire watch in a tower was THE coveted summer job. Regrettably, by the time I was old enough to apply, they were phasing out the towers. I still think it would have been the best job ever.
Me too! It must be the remoteness, beauty, solitude, sense of duty, wildlife, adventure, etc…even as an adult I thought of being a Ranger, smoke jumper, forestry manager. If you are from the west, you dreamed this.
Rylie bless your heart you were a trooper as always you’re making memories. My beautiful wife before I lost her was the adventurous one loved the outdoors, sailing, hiking, fishing she kept me motivated. When her health declined we would take cruses or camp in our camper. The night before she passed she wanted me to set up a camp trip although I knew that we would not be going I agreed and started talking details. Your husband is blessed to have you and Olivia because y’all are making memories and those are just dreams come true. Great episode pet the puppy for me, God Bless and ☮️out.
@@crocodile1313 One of her dreams was to have a Shanty boat and just drift the rivers and lakes and I to liked the idea. So I am pursuing that direction now with that a loving 3 children and a great Church family I stay busy and plan to share this journey with all of them.
WOW! This has to be one of the most spectacular places you have ever camped at Rylie is amazing I really admire her Olivia saying amen was adorable! Ellie is such a good dog! Tysm for sharing your adventure with us💗
This is some high class content, it never felt like i was watching some random guy enjoying his day out but rather it felt like i was the one enjoying the scenes and beauty of the place.
I was going to say something snarky about your wife going along when she is fearful of heights and then she said the sweetest thing about your marriage and comfort zones. Thanks for bringing her and having her share that. I also really appreciate your willingness to pray out loud. Says much about you as people.
It’s sad to see a wife who is so clearly disliking this lifestyle and out of her comfort zone. Her husband does everything - including all of the cooking.
Beautiful views!! And a thunderstorm! I bet that was awesome! I hope Rylie was feeling better to enjoy the storm as well. I had no idea she was afraid of heights but she's a BOSS for getting up there and braving it out!!! As always, seeing Ellie and precious little Olivia is a treat!!! Thanks for sharing another great trip!
Understand completely where Rylie is coming from. Not a BIG fan of heights either. However it is definitely beautiful view... Olivia is most definitely a cutie and Ellie is so sweet. God bless you guys❤❤
This video was in the top three of my favorites! The sunrise and sunset were superb! The storm was neat to watch. The views were outstanding! My favorite part of your video was when Olivia said amen! You and Riley are awesome parents! God bless your family!😊😊
Not to mention a toddler running around as he just went out the door with the dog in the morning, and the door was not locked from the inside. That’s for sure and the mom was sleeping in bed.
Once again, I just y'alls videos. Perfect example of how a family should be. I'd love to meet Y'all !! Safe travels guys !! Also, your videos give me peace.
ELLIE looks so much better since not eating the dry dog food. I had been cooking for my dogs over 20 years. Chicken pork beef fish beans rice veggies everything a healthy puppy needs. It's easy it fresh it so much cheaper then dry stuff. My dogs love meals. No waste.
This brings back good memories of when my family owned an 1890 log cabin in the Cascades in Washington. If anyone watched Northern Exposure in the 90s, the opening scene with the moose was actually the town of Roslyn. We drove through it going and coming back each trip.
Wow!! What a place to visit I’m feeling you Riley I’m watching Ellie go down those stairs and freaking out. I honestly don’t think I could sleep in there especially with the wind whipping around and that sleet storm I couldn’t of done it I give you credit Riley thunder lightning not for me your daughter is adorable. She goes with the flow that shot of her big beautiful blue eyes. She looks just like Jack. Thank you for sharing your adventure. It’s something I would’ve never done and I got to experience it with you guys. Thank you give Olivia a big hug for me.🩷
Nicely filmed Jack. But phew, it's too wild there on a cliff top. I can understand Riely that you were nervous, I feel the same. When I was in my 20s, I was a team leader trained in rescue and disasters for many years. Crawled on high roofs and many spooky places. But no, not today. I don't think I could sleep there. Had to get off a ferris wheel a few years ago when the guy driving the wheel turned our carts when we passed him. I screamed like crazy😱 and got so sick. Since then I can't handle heights. Great that you came through and Olivia the beautiful girl is just so sweet and lovable,❤ But of course with such wonderful parents you both are, ❤Thank you for a beautiful video. Many hugs Liv. Maria.😘❤🙏
Being from Wyoming I have been blessed to spend time in the mid and late 80’s (when we saw rangers there) multiple times on horse or ATV. There is another nice lookout on the west side of Hwy. 191 between Pinedale, WY. And Jackson Hole, WY. In the Hoback Canyon. I have camped outside of that one several times. We used to call your location “The Top of the World”. They paired it and added the solar panels since the last time I was there. That entire range is a lightning rod! Awesome to see it again and thank you for sharing
Right on! You’re lucky to live in WY. We love it out there. Actually, right before this video we went to the Pokes home opener versus Idaho. It’s a bummer the team isn’t great this year 😅 Definitely going to be coming back out and going to other cabins and lookouts
@@TinyCabinLife I wish I still lived back home in Wyoming. I am retired now and turned 64 the 27th of this month (September). I transferred with my job of 41 years back in 2009 and retired in 2020. I miss the mountains. Be safe in your travels and Hod bless you and your family.
Just the most beautiful skies, a kaleidoscope of colours. The surrounding landscapes were so majestic. Riley, I so love your soft senstive honest soul. So very precious. Its so lovely to hear Olivia chatting away in the background. How beautifully she is growing. Stay safe, be blessed.
Wow! What a view! But I gotta say my anxiety wouldn't allow me to stay in the lookout! So Riley I feel you girl 💗 Ellie just trotting down those stairs like it was no big deal made me laugh 😂 I absolutely love thunderstorms so this is your best video yet!!! Olivia saying "Amen" at the beginning of the meal was just the sweetest thing ever!!! Happy adventures to you Jack ,Riley, Olivia, and Ellie ❤
What an amazing place,I love a good thunderstorm,Riley did a great job to overcome her fear at the beginning and be able to settle down and enjoy the time there.
We used to take supplies to a lady in a look out. We got up there and had to go set in these old wood chairs that had insulators on the legs for feet. Lightning was actually hitting the wires around the look out. We set in them chairs for probably 2 hrs. I'll never forget that.
It is really beautiful up there in the Sierra Madre mountains at the look out tower i hope You, Rylie, Olivia and Ellie have a great time up there with all of the beautiful scenery to look at, take care and have a great week Thanks. 🇺🇲🏞🇺🇲
Wow, beyond amazing, when Riley said she was having anxiety I was screaming at the screen, you got this Riley, so glad your there to help her through it, and Olivia with the amen ❤️❤️❤️❤️too adorable, god bless you guys
When I was younger I would have loved this job. Nothing beats the sound of rain on a roof, your a top guy with a lovely family all the very best for the future my friend.
That was exceptional location, with superior views Jack. But that last bit of road was something you would not want to be going in and out of much. Thanks for taking us along.

As a Mom Riley, I completely understand your anxiety in these mountains. It wasn't until I became a mom myself that I started having issues with more challenging terrain and circumstances. I am very proud of how brave you were for still going through the experience and making the memories you did. Jack I love watching the storms come in from the mountains. It makes you appreciate the scale of the terrain and it is very cool to watch. The sheets of rain as they come in are fascinating to watch. Just be very careful with the lightening though. It is deadly. I agree that Olivia's amen was the cutest ever. Thanks for bringing us along again!
Oh my, my Anxiety was rocking too Rylie during this video. I was right there with you. Not sure I could have stayed there. That was scary to me. I do not handle heights very well either.

Wow I loved being along for this. Such gorgeous scenery and the storm was amazing. I have to admit I am terrified of heights so I couldn’t see myself there. Olivia and Ellie are delightful and Rylie is so brave! You are a beautiful family.

Olivia looks so much like Mom and I love the way Ellie is so patient. The view from The Mountaintop was so pretty with the rain storm and the lightning.

New to your adventure site and what i enjoy so much is you Jack. You are a man who is dedicated to God, your family, and your special dog Elle. May the God of love and mercy keep you and your family safe and direct your path. ❤❤

Super cool support method to acknowledge your wife’s fears and anxiety and I can appreciate that. “Hey that’s understandable”. Haven’t been a follower of the channel in the past but definitely plan to. Cool stuff man, totally can relate to bringing your family along for the ride.
Absolutely beautiful!! What an incredible place to stay. That is going on my bucket list for sure! I will admit, the walk from the truck to the tower at 11,000 feet would leave my lungs screaming for oxygen. It looks like you guys handled the high elevation really well. Beautiful video!

Oh. my. goodness. This was such a beautiful, wild adventure and it was so fun to watch! The scenery moved me to tears, and that includes the mountains outside and the sweet faces inside the cabin. Yes! Seriously
Thanks for sharing! It’s quite the altitude. Must have been exciting to watch the storm from the security of the station.
God bless! 🙏🙌✝️✡️❤️
Hey Jack, you are all on top of the world in this wonderful video, as usual great scenery and filming, glad Rylie overcame her anxiety, that cabin is something else, great to watch you all cozy while the storm was raging, take care.X💕🏴
😊❤️🙏🏽
Awesome location. My favorite topography. 👏🙏🏻
Same here!
4:00 the kid running around while the mom almost keeling over due to lack of oxygen has me rolling😂😂😂😂
😅
WOW ❤❤❤❤❤ Beautiful!!!!!
It was so cool!
Incredible scenery, much enjoyed the light show. Thx for sharing your adventure with Rye,Olivia and of course Ellie...☕
Always!!
I would love to stay a night there in a storm. ⛈️
Awesome video!! I love adventures like that. No TV, no internet. Just you and the simple beauty of nature. The storm was the best part. I'm very glad I found this video. Thank you for sharing. 😊
Glad you enjoyed it! I totally agree too
Where was the bathrrom? That's a scary hike.
They have an outhouse down by the truck but we brought our little bucket toilet so that we wouldn’t have to go down there in the middle of the night 😊👍🏽
The first 5 mins of the video was a bit scary but the rest of it was pure brilliance. Loved it. Amazing.
So glad!
Wheel done😊
Thank you!
and we get to see it too, thru you!
Ríe, thanks for expressing your vulnerable side & then overcoming it. The adventure will give you experience and a healthy respect nature for me.
You all look happy, even if afraid of heights it's the best medicine to conquer your fears. I used to be terrified of big bridges until I forced myself to go over them ❤God bless, beautiful views❤
😊❤️🙏🏽
New to your adventure site and what i enjoy so much is you Jack. You are a man who is dedicated to God, your family, and your special dog Elle. With the culture rejecting manly men I see through you that you real men are still out there. Finally I get to travel to remote areas in the US from the comfort of my warm comfortable home with my four rescue pups and a husband of 50 years, another man who has dedicated his life to Our Lord and Savior. May the God of love and mercy keep you and your family safe and direct your path. ❤❤
You brought all the babies in this one! Great video and your child is adorable!
Thank you!! 😊
I would love to see the country like that I traveled with my parents all out west loved it my husband don't but it will always be memories you'll never forget plus its good for olivia to explore outdoors
Keep pushing Olivia. Well done!! God and Jack have you covered. This is an amazing place. Incredible views !! AMEN!!!
I am sorry. I meant Riley, not Olivia…….
😊❤️🙏🏽
Super cool support method to acknowledge your wife’s fears and anxiety and I can appreciate that. “Hey that’s understandable”. Haven’t been a follower of the channel in the past but definitely plan to. Cool stuff man, totally can relate to bringing your family along for the ride.
Means so much brother 🙏🏽 we have dealt with a lot of anxiety between us sadly, but have really worked hard to support each other in healthy ways
Absolutely beautiful!! What an incredible place to stay. That is going on my bucket list for sure! I will admit, the walk from the truck to the tower at 11,000 feet would leave my lungs screaming for oxygen. It looks like you guys handled the high elevation really well. Beautiful video!
Thanks Kenny! It was rough bringing all the gear up there. Definitely felt it in the lungs!
