Great video! You’ll figure it all out camping with a newborn! We did it with 3 boys, in a tent, no cots, mats, etc. The last time we tent camped, I was 8 months pregnant with our 3rd son, and seemed to find a rock in my back every night, even moving around! We bought a pop up after that! We always camped remotely, we absolutely loved it!! We created so many memories! 32 years later (our youngest), and they take their own families camping! The best to you all!
Such a pretty baby! Ticks and bugs with a tiny baby would stress me as well! Such beautiful scenery! I had three sons and I know how stressful juggling everything can be. My hat is off to you!

Really fun video, I like the long format. I do have to mention one safety concern... Wearing those tall, rubber boots in the inflatable kayak would be a death sentence should you capsize, or find yourself in the water for any reason. No one could swim, or even make it to the surface with those boots full of water!
Had my first grand daughter that has more energy than I do at 64 and at two just jabbers and wants to constantly play. She cracks me up though and I love her so much and pray for God to keep them safe and happy.

You're very adventurous, Jack! Riley is hesitant, and I don't blame her. No way would I bring a baby into those woods. Bugs, ticks, bears! Yes, I saw a bear! A little after you picked up the moose antler, you stepped in to a mud pit, there was a bear behind one of the trees. Technology is wonderful but you can't always rely on it; bring a compass, not to mention tick spray, bug spray, bear spray, moose spray, you name it! You guys are brave! I wish you the best! Ellie and the baby are troopers!
As much as I love camping, those bugs might just make me feel a little stressed! You all are blessed to have so many gorgeous places to visit! Is it quite the chore to do the tick checks? I always enjoy watching your family adventures. Some things looked familiar, but so relaxing to watch! Except the bugs!!

great video. not sure why but mosquitos do not like me or my son except when I was pregnant with him 30 yrs old. I sat in a swarm of them with a bunch of orthodontists years ago in Cheboygan WI. They were covered in bug spray and getting chewed up...me nothing. I count myself fortunate.. Now black flies...they love me
Never stop believing in both of your selfs in doing what you guys do. You to are strong in your selfs and i admire it wow it takes me back growing up like you 2 are doing. You can see the stress and then it's over come by excitement from you guys. Thank you so much. Love what you are doing.
Ya shoulda kept the antler and seen if you could have found the other one, mounted it on a hat and dubbed yourself a, " Moosekateer"! My wife God rest her soul, was always getting eatten up by bugs until we discovered by taking 3 garlic tablets a day a week before camping kept all bugs away. You have to continue taking them while your camping too. The down side being after about 3 days you begin to smell like a spagetti dinner when you sweat! We thought it was worth it though. 😁 You ought to go to the mount of olives in Israel where there are olive trees that are 5000 years old.
@@TinyCabinLife Yes Sir, bugs are able to sense the carbon dioxide that a person exhales things like Off spray repellant, citronella or even smoke from a fire camouflages the CO2 you exhale and buys you some relief. Garlic completely masks the odor of CO2. I won't try to fool you, when you reach saturation and belch your gonna taste and crave garlic bread! 😁 Something else I have heard, but have never tried is to put a dozen moth balls in a small pouch and hang it around your neck. Others say put a couple of strongly scented dryer sheets in your shirt pockets. Anyway, hope one or more of these help you in the warmer weather. I'm a 65 year old widower who loves the woods and live in Southwest Michigan in Watervliet! God bless you and your family.
I spent my first 30 years in Minnesota. Lived in SW MN, went to college in Marshall & Bemidji. I love lake Superior, Grande Marais, Duluth...ALL of that wild area. I wish I'd had the time & money to explore & enjoy it more. But I'm glad y'all are, and that you actually really appreciate it for its beauty and peace!! And I love that you say grace, blessing your food before you eat, and are thankful to God for all you've been blessed with! I'm enjoying your videos, even though they make me a bit homesick. Wonderful memories..My son lives in Plymouth Mn. I have fished with him and his family there..we are a military family and when he was as little as Olivia we spent many times on lakes and hiking.Now he does the same with his family. How much better can life be than to be in nature..❤
I worked that area. Definitely the outback lost world type place. When the power line ends 50 miles away it's out there. Beautiful. I saw a lot of wildlife especially ruffed grouse walking on the road

Those bugs are insane! I remember when we were visiting my Uncle's farm in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia we went fishing but had to cut the fishing short. The bugs and horse flies were just like that. So thick in the air, it was horrible! Olivia is sooo sweet!

'Beeping' noses is one of my favorite things to do with little kids. If you do it with some regularity, at some point early if you put your finger up in fairly close proximity, she'll move up and touch her nose to your finger on her own. Silly thing, but one of my favorite things to do.

I’ve been to the north shore of Lake Superior many times. Love it up there. My wife and I honeymooned there. Camped there. Beautiful place. It’s been a while though. I miss it.

I’ve been to the north shore of Lake Superior many times. Love it up there. My wife and I honeymooned there. Camped there. Beautiful place. It’s been a while though. I miss it.

What a great video. Beautiful scenery. Great with your little cabin in the woods. Nothing like having the whole family enjoying the outdoors, minus the bugs. Yes, ticks are nasty. Ellie having a great time in the water. Hoping Ellie didn't have any ticks riding her back. This looks so relaxing. Baby girl having a nap. How old is your cabin now.I would rather camp in in a little ca in such as yours rather than a tent or RV. 😊
