- ....it never really left. I've been recording rolls without boxes or songs that use low C on the Victor since the Autopiano does not play that note.
This roll was a gift from a good friend of mine and I thought it sounded pretty on the AP. I hope he enjoys this roll as much as I do. Thanks for watching.
I am sure this is Lee Sims, based on style and the fact that he arranged the regular US version, which also shares elements. Great post!! It's fun to compare and contrast!
This is great roll! .... and a PEP roll in good condition too. Rare find.
Why are they rare?
@That_One_Player_Piano Oftentimes those old PEP rolls are in rough shape. Usually the boxes are very worn. I have a few PEP rolls and most are very fragile. This one is in unusually good condition.
It's crazy...this is almost better than the US version! Especially the part starting at about 1:32...
I'm so glad you found this video. I had you in mind when I first heard this. And to be honest, I've never heard the US version ......
But I had a hunch this was better. I'm glad you like it!
