One night I had around 7-9 drinks over the course of a few hours and had no hangover the next day! I can’t believe how much it helps to drink water, eat and exercise while boozing!

Glen turns into a wise old man, rob becomes an angry highschool kid, charlie becomes the life of the party, and Megan wants to kiss and hug everything.
This confirms my preconceived notion that Charlie is exactly the kind of friend that everyone should have. The one that almost exclusively comes out with the poignant and real while always being hilarious. He’s only there to randomly drive the point that existence = happiness home.
@@michaelabenton8671 oh yah I was an orphan growing up. I watched this show on repeat from age 12-23 lol. I guess these guys mean a lot to me lol how lameeeeee
I've never felt so strongly about people I've literally never met. They're all fucking brilliant, I love this podcast as much as the show in some ways.
Seeing Glenn get so emotional after Charlie's song, and after they talked about his quitting the show multiple times, reminded me of another podcast episode (don't remember which one!) when he talked about feeling uncertain that he wanted this show to be the biggest part of his acting career, he had anticipated having more serious roles after training at Juliard. Based on that, I'm guessing Charlies's lyric about appearing bleak but actually sunny and being known for this "til our very last days" really resonated with Glenn. I love this show and pod, can't wait for more of both!
Charlie's Lyrics: We came to be funny But we search for the truth We told some yarns Got long in the tooth But life's just that way If you're lucky that is I guess I'm just foolish For living in Bliss For I am happy I guess that makes me awfully sunny And I guess that's why we're here For we are Sunny even though we Seem Bleak Sometimes it may appear But we are Sunny Because we're hopeful in a way And were honest with each other And I guess that's just the way We appear We are Sunny In our way and this will be What were known for Till our very last days
Had a smile on my face the whole way through this thing. These guys (including Megan & Kaitlin) are a fucking blast. This is just as good as getting new Sunny episodes now.
1:02:36 I go back to listen to Charlie’s outro often and I’ll scan the comments every time- The ones im paying attention to all read how absolutely lovely, poetic, sincere - not to mention- seemingly off the cuff his lyrics are but I think there’s another aspect that really makes it something special: What gets me every time is the positive nature of the lyrics in high contrast to the tone he applies them in- making this particular song reallllly powerful as an improvised composition. I just love it.
I know one that's even better aswell, so basically what causes most of the hangover is deyidration from mostly depleted b vitamins in the body, so before you drink get a multi b vitamin supplement or a borocco boost a take it before you start drinking and hugely reduces hangovers, trust me
I think make the drunk episode a yearly tradition! It really made me cry when Meg talked about Kaitlin being an inspiration and then Charlie sang at the end! Would also be very interested to hear about Glenn's burnout at some point.
Sunny premiered the year I turned 18. I’m 36 now. This show has literally been there for my entire adult life and has made me laugh so much, and cry that one time. I honestly think it’s THE comedy of my generation! I love seeing these guys just hanging out and having fun!
I was looking forward to hearing the "Glenn Howerton Burnout" stories. I'm sure it might be painful, but I'd like to hear how they got past it. Beautiful song Charlie
FR! I legit lit up when Kaitlin mentioned it. As you said, probably painful to talk about, but no doubt they’re epic stories..Also lends more credence to Glenn being George Harrison of the group! 😂💪
Glenn doesn't want to be only known for Always sunny and it triggers him when it's mentioned, although he tries to play it off. When Charlie said it's what we'll only be known for really pissed him off until he caught himself, and he catches himself a lot during this podcast episode.
Their discussion about insecurities and comedy and Charlie's last song were such beautiful and genuine moments...I love this group of people so much 💗 Great episode, guys
There’s something so christmassy about this episode. It feels like the cousins from the kids table all grown up sneaking off to another part of the house having childish fun and heartfelt moments. I love this podcasts, thanks guys for all the laughs❤️
"Comedy helps us process our wounds. When someone...leans into the thing that could be wounding them and seems okay with it..doesn't have the vanity to say, 'oh I need to look perfect' it helps us feel better about our own imperfection. I think that's why we love our comedic actors." Charlie and Kaitlin were so real. Humor - which began as a self-defense mechanism - helped heal my anxiety in high school and made me friends. This is why I admire authentic people who put the inner above the outer.
Not that we all didn’t know it already, but I’m so glad we all got to experience firsthand why Glenn and Robb say Charlie is basically an amazing human being. That song made me tear up with them, and we got to share what felt like a very personal moment with them. I love this podcast. Edit: also, Megan is wonderful and I love her smile.
It's really touching how fond of him they both are, and clearly he must be well-deserving of the praise, otherwise they wouldn't still be saying it to his face all these years later.
everyone was brilliant of course, but Meg and Kaitlin having that moment of a very raw insecurity at just post the 50 minute mark was really so humbling and sweet. Friendships like the one your team has are special and I can tell you appreciate it. thanks for letting us participate.
Charlie playing them all out at the end had me in tears, 'Sunny' does that, their characters are unbelievably flawed but the show has a huge beating heart!. They truly care for each other, beautiful to see. ❤️
You can tell they love what they do, and they love each other. At first when Charlie finishes his song, I thought they were being sarcastic. But, you can tell they really felt that. These guys are fuckin incredible. And Danny, Kaitlyn, Hornsby, Artemis, the McPoyles, the lawyer lol, and everyone else that has anything to do with this show are fuckin perfect. Sorry for the language, I'm a South Florida man and these guys have been relatable to me since i was 15. Keep this shit going til season 30!
You've unintentionally created a perfect idea for an episode: The gang takes a sobriety test. Thet get drunk to see who can handle their liquor the best, when they are really all completely wrecked.
I love this. It can be like in wolf of walstreet when he's driving the car home on queluds and the viewers all think it was successful. And then we see the destruction that was wrought
Rob has got some seriously good taste. I saw the design of the room and thought "I'd love that as my office" and then I find out it's his actual office at home. Nice. The dark wall with the wood paneling is so cool.
I must say, this is by far the most engaging episode. I guess it’s probably definitely not a good idea to get drunk every episode, but this amount of wild banter and rudderlessness is completely welcome and entirely entertaining
I love when Rob turned into Mac during the drunk test walk and said "Humans were designed with two legs for a reason". I love when Charlie goes deep and says profound shit. Like how we watch movies to help with our traumas. I guess that's why I love Sunny. I am traumatized by scumbags and this show allows me to reconnect with them by laughing at them. I teared up like Glenn at the end.
Every male dominated podcast has a useless female board op. It's honestly beyond cringe that the boys did this when they already have tons of talented females in the show.
Can we all agree that ''I dont know what i said'' being the last line, and coming after the only real emotional bit in this episode, captures the essence of Sunny to a TEA.
This is hands down the best episode, friends hanging out gettin drunk is a little more relatable than actors in a writing room talking about a tv show, but I enjoy that as well
Of course. As soon as I heard the Sunny guys were doing a podcast I knew it was gonna be gold. Always Sunny is the greatest live action comedy series ever
No joke shed tears at Charlie's outro. Could be my absolute love for these guys over 15 years or could have been the half bottle of brown keeping up with them but this was a hilarious and beautiful watch seeing some more vulnerable sides to these legends. Obviously they can't all be like this but would definitely love it to be an annual St. Paddy's ep or something. Also Megan the MVP
After having an awful day, this episode made me tear up. I'm not even drinking and i felt that same thing you can see Glenn feel at 1:04:00. These people feel like family after all these years, and i guess all of us Sunny fans have that in common. They say never meet your heroes, but this group of people seem like the exception to the rule! Much love to all!
Best episode yet and probably the most fun I’ve ever had listening to a podcast. These guys and gals are so authentic and real. I hope this podcast goes on for forever.
Kaitlin is 100% the reason I fell in love with Sunny. Her performance in Hundred Dollar Baby sold me on her as a comedic actress as well. It was so amusing to hear another woman say exactly what I was thinking. Kaitlin and Danny do kill it. So do the boys. This podcast makes me appreciate them all the more.
"It wasn't about being a beautiful woman. It was about being fucking funny." This whole episode was so amazing, but the moment between Kaitlin and Megan was truly touching. Women supporting women is one of the most incredible things in this world. And then you have these 3 guys supporting them too. A sincerely lovely group. Also, Kaitlin and I drink the same cocktail. I fucking screamed
The end really encapsulated the gangs interest in harmonies and music; Charlie had no idea wtf he was saying but the mood was palpable and they all felt it and bonded with their friend. A melody is worth a million words.
51:55 As a straight guy who is not a woman and has no idea what it s like to be a woman, I COMPLETELY agree with Megans take on Kaitlin and have always thought she was the comedic powerhouse on the show. She's fucking incredible. . . But it always makes me laugh knowing that she also voiced a character on Brickleberry. . . . You take the good with the bad lol
I highly recommend listening to the episode of Dax Shepard's podcast that she is on. She's an amazing woman and comedian
Glen turns into a wise old man, rob becomes an angry highschool kid, charlie becomes the life of the party, and Megan wants to kiss and hug everything.

That's because Rob is Dutch

@@paraxysm So true. Drink vodka in Russia according to Glenn's formula to avoid a hangover xD
Charlie's Lyrics:
We came to be funny
But we search for the truth
We told some yarns
Got long in the tooth
But life's just that way
If you're lucky that is
I guess I'm just foolish
For living in Bliss
For I am happy
I guess that makes me awfully sunny
And I guess that's why we're here
For we are Sunny
even though we Seem Bleak
Sometimes it may appear
But we are Sunny
Because we're hopeful in a way
And were honest with each other
And I guess that's just the way
We appear
We are Sunny In our way
and this will be What were known for
Till our very last days
Lovely! Just two things, it's
We *told* some yarns
and
Even though we seem *bleak*
@@hermionexxx thanks! i made the changes :)
@@hermionexxx Are we sure that word wasn't "blank"?

Remember when we used to play in the tent and set up the dividing line :)
1:02:36 I go back to listen to Charlie’s outro often and I’ll scan the comments every time-
The ones im paying attention to all read how absolutely lovely, poetic, sincere - not to mention- seemingly off the cuff his lyrics are but I think there’s another aspect that really makes it something special:
What gets me every time is the positive nature of the lyrics in high contrast to the tone he applies them in- making this particular song reallllly powerful as an improvised composition.
I just love it.
Meg, eyes closed, smiling and swaying during Charlie singing "For I am HAPPY!!!" Is such a great little moment. She looks like she's in paradise.
Glenn taking forever to get the secret to the no hangover out 😂😂😂
It was almost like a IASIP joke, it is absolutley someting they would do
Lmao and then its only “drink water”
It is only drink water and eat before and try and eat after or before passing out
I know one that's even better aswell, so basically what causes most of the hangover is deyidration from mostly depleted b vitamins in the body, so before you drink get a multi b vitamin supplement or a borocco boost a take it before you start drinking and hugely reduces hangovers, trust me
and its fucking "water" is his secret
I think make the drunk episode a yearly tradition!
It really made me cry when Meg talked about Kaitlin being an inspiration and then Charlie sang at the end!
Would also be very interested to hear about Glenn's burnout at some point.

It definitely should be the song they ride into the sunset with, good call! I hope the series continues forever though

They’ll get there.
Glenn doesn't want to be only known for Always sunny and it triggers him when it's mentioned, although he tries to play it off. When Charlie said it's what we'll only be known for really pissed him off until he caught himself, and he catches himself a lot during this podcast episode.
Good lord. How is Charlie so talented while being so inebriated? That song at the end was a thing of beauty.
Their discussion about insecurities and comedy and Charlie's last song were such beautiful and genuine moments...I love this group of people so much 💗 Great episode, guys
I finished the episode and I’m still crying lol
