Right as I was thinking “I love how much they compliment Charlie” Glenn commented on it. Charlie deserves it he’s great.
I realized that I don't even care if you guys talk about the episode. I love hearing the BTS commentary and the benign random discussions. Either way I'm entertained.
As a long time watcher of the show, I absolutely love the podcast, and part of that enjoyment comes from every episode reminding me of Dennis and Dee's podcast in "Mac's Big Break".
I think it’s so funny that any time one of them wants to reference a handsome actor it’s always, without fail, Brad Pitt
Who's better looking than Pitt?
Would love for them to do a live show at some point. This podcast is really special and you can see them growing into it more and more every episode. Amazing they are pushing these out daily.
"I did acid at Lollapalooza in 1994"
I love how Gen X this entire podcast is. I feel so seen
“My personality is a collection of nostalgic references.”
I've learned through this podcast how great of a generation gen X is (gen Z here) like honestly the 90's and 00's seem like such a great time period to F around.
@@ingridsoleil it was pretty awesome. Like, if you weren't at home people just couldn't get ahold of you haha. For huge spans of time it was like you just didn't exist except to the people you were hanging out with. It's so weird to think back on what it was like then because things have changed SO much. I would hate to be growing up now.
@@AD-df5tm honestly same, I genuinely feel bad for the kids of today. I just hope that it gets better.
Yes, some of us did other things at Lollapalooza in 1994 too.
I love actually watching you guys talk about all these little details after watching the show for so long. The whole joke confusing Mark Wahlberg with Donnie by calling Invincible "the new kids on the block movie" is so hilarious, and so is Geoffrey Owens playing himself but deciding to impersonate other celebrities 😂 That's the kind of stuff that makes this show so hysterical
Charlie has the best shape head for hats. And is the most athletic.
And yet no one would be here if not for Mac. I love Glenn and Charlie dearly, but Mac is "creator" for a reason. Top Philadelphiians: 1. Mac 2. Doug Pederson/Nick Foles 3. Benjamin Franklin. In that order. Mac gets the tiebreaker for going to my high school.
@@uncletom356 Rob is definitely the brains behind IASIP
@@wm_9640 He was relentless. Thank goodness all other network executives said "no" because the fact it was on a relatively unknown station -- especially at the time -- allowed them to be as creative as they wanted. Truly is amazing how perfect the trio together is. Add in Kaitlin and Danny, and dear god. Seinfeld and Curb are entertaining and whatnot, but when it comes to the best AND funniest TV show of all time, there's no doubt it's IASIP. Genuinely, it may have never even happened, save for Rob's persistence. Wish I was a few years older to have been classmates with him. Other than that, he's been amazing as the creator. Then, when it comes to "smart, funny" writing, Charliie and Glenn excel in ways I could never fathom. All sounds hyperbolic, but they are THAT good. Truly incredible that before this, they were three broke friends living in the NYC/Fordham area.
@@uncletom356 you’re spot on man. To me it’s quite simple: no other show that I’ve ever watched has made me laugh as hard, and as consistently as IASIP. The main cast, the side characters, the ridiculous plots they get themselves into… everything about this show is a grand slam. And yes, should out to Rob for being the creative oasis and the leader of the group.
@@uncletom356 seriously taking my comment to heart in a comedy podcast's comment section? fucking sad.
Did Charlie just name drop me!? 21:38. Lol
Let's go 😅
"I kind of wish we had taken a picture" completely forgetting he's on camera saying this.
I love the gag of the collective disapproval when Kaitlin asked when she could come on the show😂😂😂 even Megan was like "Wait, hol' up"
Sooooooo glad Charlie is back to his original spot at the dinner table.
And maybe I'm happy to see Glenn healing... MAYBE, still learning Empathy from him.
Or for him!😂
Kaitlin in the first 3 seconds cracking me up with the raspy "ehhhhhhhhh"
This podcast is a great balance of staying focused and ADD
So kind of like my life? 😁
Awww poor Glenn. 😢 my heart exploded when he reached out for Charlie's help!
2:39 Glenn instantly turned into a 45 year old ex pro-skater when he put that hat on
Chris Roberts from Chocolate/the Nine Club podcast is his doppelgänger
I love how much they all enjoy each other's company. Love their friendship, it makes me smile 😊
The ostrich. That is hilarious you put it in this podcast episode when she came on. I loved hearing the story of how you guys thought it was dumb to put the ostrich in that episode when Mac was having the flashback. I remember the first time I saw that, I freaking lost my shit. So hilarious! It worked great because it was a flashback memory.
30:18 charlie is speaking facts. it's a life changing, eye opening experience. most people go into it expecting a fun party drug but you come out with a new perspective on life
I wanna see more "Acting teacher Dee". That was a very cool place for the character to go in the new season.
I can’t imagine having a group of friends like this where compliments are given out so freely. I can’t remember hearing a compliment about myself. It’s pretty awesome they do that.
4:46 dilettante - word of the day right there!! improving my vocab whilst being entertained! It is the way God intended! Thanks, Mr. Day.
I love how hard Charlie makes Glenn laugh
I could watch them all all day. It was great hearing Kaitlin and I really hope we can have one where you have the whole main cast, Charlie's wife and Hornsby. Would be amazing.
They could do an all women segment and see how they fair. :D
This is by far the actual best podcast/ UA-cam show yet. I love that despite it being them… they still sort of just be their characters at all times.
Please bring one of the McPoyles on in character for a cameo when you guys do the hostage episode.
The guy who plays Liam McPoyle is one of Charlie Day's best friends.
YOU CALL HER !
Really appreciate you guys touching on an array of areas in this episode and shedding light on subtle aspects of your life. This show just keeps getting better just like Sunny. Really looking forward to seeing more from you guys and thrilled that if the world doesn't go to shit, there are things to look forward to. What I love most about Sunny is how boundless and raw it can be while also making you laugh your ass off. I cherish your spirits. I hope you all live a fulfilled life for giving us so much. You are all awesome!
Glenn just casually doing the best Stallone impression i've ever seen in my life
It's so weird to watch the show and see how they treat each other and then watch the pod where they compliment each other a lot and are super supportive
That was by far one of the best episodes of the show! Danny getting stuck in the trashcan on acid was absolutely genius.
Lets not forget Cole, Dees football character was the only character Dee pulled off solid without breaking -Until the end of course.
Kaitlin was describing her day and it was such a mom day 😂 I love it
I love Rob's smile when Kaitlin is speaking, he is so in love! so great to see it
NGL Caitlyn can totally fit into this podcast with the other guys. It's kinda wholesome how close they all are and how similar their dynamic is to the show. They're just naturally funny together.
Caitlin was great! It is so cool to see everyone's real personality and hear how funny they are just chatting. Also I love when you talk about the episodes so cool to hear the little tidbits that adds details to the show we love so much
i love how this podcast is coming into its own as a standalone show. it's finding its groove and the characters of your real personalities are beginning to sing. LOVE IT
also Glenn w/ the flat brim looks about 13 yrs old lol
So does Rob
They'll need it once they run out of episodes and still want to continue the podcast.
It's been great seeing the real world dynamics of this group of people.
so fucking funny that rob and charlie essentially kicked glenn off of his own show for being boring and called kaitlin instead
Didn't they say Glenn had to be somewhere..
@@DreamDasic they recorded a full episode then afterwards decided to scrap half of it and go back in to record it again the day after.
@@rossthompson9711 I understand that part. I was just saying Glenn couldn't be there for the part 2, they didn't kick him off.
Dont let this podcast ever end.
This pod is such a respite from everyday of just being.
Charlie gets it. Could never get enough of them talking about the show
52:57 the way charlie rolled her eyes got me so hard!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
They are all super funny, Rob is absolutely up there. The seriousness, stupidity and over confidence of his character really resonates with me.
No way Rob thinks he's not as funny as the rest of the guys! He's brilliant.
Chemical toilet, project badass, ocular patdown, efficacy of swords vs guns, trying to seduce the p.e. teacher 😆🤣 he's had a lot of the funniest scenes in the show.
Rob is definitely the wildcard.
Rob is in most of my favorite scenes. When Rex takes his shirt off and Mac is eyeing him like candy then goes into the whole rant about Dennis being in decline. This show is always funny.
The season of Fat Mac is devoid of sanity, boredom, repetitiveness and crickets. The Jersey Shore episode was one the funniest things I've ever seen. Each character had a window and each of them hit the ground running. That actually happens a lot. Water park Mac, How Mac Got Fat, the Swedish plumber, Vic Vinegar. Message received, acknowledged and agreed upon.
@@bianca952000 Just watched the Jersey Shore episode again last night because I remembered how incredible it was. Though the Fat Mac season did have a couple of meh episodes (Frank's Brother for sure, and I'm not a fan of The Gang Gets Trapped).
@@bianca952000 Vic Vinegar 🤣 that was classic as well. "You eat MY boogers!"
I absolutely loved Coffee Town. I thought it was crazy how Glenn asked one of the first callers if they liked the movie because I wanted to call in and mention the film. Glenn you are the best dude!
Been watching since episode 1 cuz y'all were billed as "the new Seinfeld" (which I loved).
The scene where you're peeing on the stadium, smashing beers, talking about respecting the sanctity of the game is hilarious; and perfectly encapsulated the dichotomy or morals that exist within people. Y'all are brilliant!
Speaking of fashion in this episode, that night of the hunter hoodie Charlie is wearing is so dope
