Your vids make you practivally their ambassador. have you genuinely asked them already and explain for what your channel stands ? maybe they haven't picked you up yet ... ? I see them handing over products to UA-cam-noobs who don't know what they are talking about.
@@kurtb369 I guess that @VIRPIL Controls would be better suited to answering why I have to pay for my own stuff and yet other you tubers not even helping out Virpil customers get free stuff, Virpil do indeed know about my videos and channel

Hi - (as usual, thanks for these videos - its really helping understand the full capabilities of the CM3). New issue I am trying to sort out - while the flaps lever appears to work properly (as in full range of lever shows up as 0-100% in Windows), the two throttle levers seem to have idle zones in the top and bottom - so only about 30% of the physical throw covers 100% of the range in Windows. It almost feels like there are virtual detents set up, or in this case, it was set up to match the physical detent that was installed on the throttle.
In the bottom right hand section of the VPC tool (where you see Throttle double axes functions, and Axis detents) they are all empty for all of the axis, so that's not it.
Is there another place to see if there is a virtual (or physical) detent set up? Does adding the actual detent (one of the various types that comes with the throttle) actually impact the digital output (or is it just something that you can physically feel).
Flaps - double click on that axis to show sub page on it, check deadzone min and max (or try re-calibrating this one axis). I am unsure about the detent set-up on the CM3 as I have an older model. I have contracted Virpil and asked if they could possibly send me a CM3 throttle to create more up to date tutorials with , but they declined to do this (Guess Virpil must be really cash strapped if they cannot afford to send to a free device to someone who has literally helped out thousands of their customers)
This is great stuff. I use it for F18, F5, F16. Can I use the 5-way Mode Modifier dial to turn the virtual detents off for when I'm flying the Harrier of the Warthog?
if you are using 5-way mode modifier profile you could make the "virtual" button mapping to logical mapping entry ONLY work on one mode for the virtual detents
That's exactly what I want. Just having trouble sorting it out.

There is no longer a "result button" output on axis to button and I have no idea how to make this work. The config manual isn't helping either.
when u create an axis to button biding, if you then go to the button tab, lower right corner it lists what "virtual physical" buttons have been created for the axis to button bindings u then add then to the logical to physical button table above
so its a cruies control?
Great video update as always. However, not sure why you are still using the test version of the software that was never released when there is a much newer version 20210102 available on the Virpil site. No changes to the UI, but...
Just noticed that half the video is with the older software and half with the new one, so all good!
@@eyemack First half was filmed a day two before 20200102 was released, wasnt going to re-film at as there is no visible change between them
