    Current Virpil software doesn't require only one joystick to be connected. At least between control panel #1 and #2 I just purchased and received; it doesn't care and will save/update changes to a specific one just fine.

      You should only have one Virpil device connected for firmware updates. It’s not necessary to unhook all of your USB connections. Only other Virpil devices. If your building profiles or making other adjustments in the software it is fine to leave everything hooked up, including all of the Virpil devices.

      @@JGandT I did (at least tried) a firmware update yesterday with both connected and it occurred just fine. I can’t say if there actually was an update but it ran and rebooted the panels. The software didn’t warn me about only having one connected so it should be safe. It’s definitely a possible (and expected) to identify a specific USB device ID and not brick something entirely unrelated, so it seems they just improved their software.

    Very good video, may I ask you if you can update this video with the new version of VIRPIL software. I try to do what you explain in this video but is different in the VIRPIL updated software version for 5/19/22. thank you in advance.

    Hmm, very good series. Coming back to this after setting my stuff up.. what you recon. Can we light up just one LED while the plane is on Afterburner (with no actual detent), IF engine RPM is 80-100% then light up one LED. Tried to set up a Axis to button and assign it to a Shift button (I chose 126) and light up B1 as yellow, but no luck so far :D

      kaspariito I’m currently in the middle of a move and I have everything packed up. I will be able to look into it in a week or two sorry for the delay.

    I have a new CM3 and would like to set the LEDs to change color upon button activation. Do you know if this this possible? It would be nice for use with a soft toggle button. THX

    Is there a way to turn a led on when the axis is over 80%? Just as a visual cue that you are in AB

      I’m not sure if there is a way let me look into it for you.

      @@JGandT Pure class! Thank you! Now I need to wait for Fedex to bring my throttle!

    Do you know by any chance that for all planes the afterburner starts at 80%?

    • @JGandT
      @JGandT  4 роки тому

      I’m pretty sure on dcs they do. Let me try out a few planes and get you a definite answer.

      @@JGandT Well its seems magic (round even) number so I assume they do. In good news today my virpil throttle is arriving. Damn, I can't wait anymore :D

      So it seams some jets are different than others. Here is what I found after flying a few different planes. F15 80%, F16 80%, f18 80% then I jumped into the mig 29s and found it to be at only 50%. This will be a challenge to figure out a solution, however I will see what I can do.

      @@JGandT Great video, thanks for putting it together. I ordered that throttle and can't wait to get it, expensive stuff though yikes. How about using the mode dial, so Mode 1 is US planes, Mode 2 are russian (if the 50% applies to all russian planes and 80% to all US)

    • @JGandT
      @JGandT  4 роки тому

      @jboys I don’t think there’s a way to do that. Virtual detent doesn’t offer a mode selection. You can however adjust the throttle curves on Dcs I am working on a video now.
