This quest is probably a reference to the episode called "Meltdown" from the British sci-fi comedy show, "Red Dwarf". In it, there's a planet which has a civil war on an planet full of waxwork robots. The good guys, such as Ghandi, Winston Churchill, etc, have to fight the "bad guys", such as Napoleon, Hitler, etc.
Wait a minute that was hilarious. I can’t wait to bump into this world clones. That’s what I love about Bethesda day. Will make some of the craziest stuff up and run with it and it makes sense in this universe.
The war between historical figures reminds me of Red Dwarf Episode 6, Series IV "Meltdown" where the crew encounter wax-droids of historical and pop culture figures locked in a war of good vs evil. That episode itself most likely taking inspiration from Season 3, Episode 22 of Star Trek, "The Savage Curtain", where recreations of historical figures are also pit against each other in a good vs evil battle. Speaking of Star Trek, Amelia Earhart's involvement in this quest also reminds me of Star Trek: Voyager Season 2, Episode 1 "The 37's" where the crew discover humans kidnapped from Earth in 1937 alive on the other side of the galaxy. Amelia Earhart was among them and like here she was fascinated by the starship Voyager. She didn't join the Voyager crew on their journey home though. I look forward to playing Starfield.
would love if they had a easter egg about voyager.. like a ship under ice in timeless and someone from that ship wants out help in recovering something from it...
One of the best Voyager/ST episodes ever. Also the one where they find a planet where the passage of time is lot faster on the surface then in orbit, and they send the doctor down there to investigate but he gets trapped there for 10 min ship time (but like 40 years on the planet). What a cool concept, and the main side character in that episode had my name, a name that is very unique and you'd never really hear outside of Iran.
@@IAmNotARobotPinkySwear if they didnt go nasa punk..but more sci fi then we would probably get some stuff like this..but the 2 revealed events///the planet of the c and the lost in space ship...are the most modern sci fi showesque that we can hope for... id love a time travel event...that e get back on the ship and it turns out a colony is either a lush thing or a ruin..depending on our actions...like in season 1 of voy
Yeah I saw that after I recorded. I wasn’t looking at my game screen I was looking at the small window of my recording software and couldn’t read it clearly lol
I thought it was a reference to the ship Darwin sailed on, the HMS Beagle, given the heavy handed evolution and nature-vs-nurture of this quest. The _Voyage of the Star Beagle_ is an interesting story but the only thing it has to do with this quest is the name of the ship.
I found and did the quests for this after seeing this video, got Earhart to join and all that. However, this was towards my time before going into New Game. I want to do this segment again so I could adventure with Earhart more.
If you're bored it is most likely due to the decision to speedrun the game and skip all the interesting content. Maybe try actually playing some of the game instead?
After the meeting of the leaders, I fought Genghis Khan, but it also triggers Amelia and everyone else to fight me. I've tried reloading a save and redoing it but it keeps triggering everyone to fight
Funny how people that pride themselves on reviewing games put 50 hours into a Bethesda title, observed the common rng encounters and then deemed the game as a shallow experience. Those gamers will never see these unique quest lines and companions and instead will be retroactively put on to what Starfield had to offer!
so, after you pick a side and finish the mission you just kill the others and can get all 3 outfits???? also, filling all 3 doesn't affect getting Amelia as a follower????
If you care, the system is pronounced: car-ib-dis. Thank you for the guide. Somehow I managed to screw uo getting Amelia as a crew member on my last playthrough.
this is the third time the engines goes wanking and leaves me with a wtf moment. when i reached the output, the robot is there but the person never comes up to me. iam talking to a voice in the sky basically, she eighter invisible or bugged in the ground. same with the death my companion, when berret decided to t-pose instead of doing his animation, but the dead body moved. immersion breaking as ever with bethesda games
May someone please tell me what that blue bar is underneath the health bar. I’ve been trying to figure out what it is and haven’t found any info on it. Please and thank you
im on the quest sided with Franklin he told me to go the The Facility to make it obay him but after the conversation he turned hostile? i didnt steal or shoot him he just opened fire on me thus i had to kill Amelia reloaded a save still happed
Bro i did this quest just to have Amelia Earhart. When i finished everything, i walked back to where she was standing, and she was dead. And no good save file was able to let me re try without going back 30 levels. I am sad 😭
Mines a buggy mess. Right after I talk to Ada Lovelace, everybody starts attacking me. This is still after the latest patch if anybody has a way around this, let me know?
So how do I get all 3 outfits in one playthorugh and have Ameilia as companion - since seems have to side with 1 and then attacks happen and she involved? I need help step by step. Thanks
When you go back to the facility with the access code, the computer will give you one of 3 choices. If you choose the purge option, the robots will kill everyone at the settlement. You can then return there and claim any outfit you don’t have of of their corpses.
For People that have shadows and black location bug ( I think a lot of people with nvidia will have this bug) Found a fix: Go into the game and reset the graphics options to default, now close the game and exit Steam. Go into Nvidia control panel > manage 3D settings > set shader cache size to unlimited. Go to appdata > local > Starfield. Delete Pipeline.cache. Restart computer. Run the game and after the main menu screen, IMMEDAITELY close the game, delete the cache file again and boot the game once more. Wah-lah, the problem is now fixed. These are the exact steps I did to permanently fix the problem. Good luck.
Charybdis is a sea monster from Greek mythology. Completely butchered the pronunciation - like not even close! - but good attempt, lol. It's KUH-RIB-DIS. :)
It's too bad she reminds me of my least favorite sister (looks too similar to when she was younger) so she's never gonna be allowed on my ship, or near me in general. I might actually kill the clone.
This quest is just a rip off from one episode of red dwarf that aired over a decade ago. The writing was bland and you dont really get much of a reward
So thats where she went lol. Bethesda answering the real questions.
Well technically a clone of her, but yes.
This is so unique and cool, like who really thought about adding them in a game they need a raise
I wish there was a video on all secret companions in the game. I didn't even know that was a thing until i stumbled on one in my game.

That's pretty cool to be honest
Is it me or does " Amelia" have a striking resemblance to Todd Howard?
Imagine a Todd companion that after you kill an enemy he says "It just works"
Mods will surely have this soon!
Ran into this one last night. Most entertaining quest line I've done yet.

I was in Akila city, doing ranger quest, when one of the rangers passing by, told me to there was a distress signal comming from that system

Wax world, winnie the pooh got executed lol 😂 ghandi doing push ups is too jokes. Love that episode❤
Also similar to the evil clone episode.
Bring forth the bucket of soapy frogs and the wetsuit with the bottom cut out!
And by extension, one of the "Night at the Museum" films, which has Amelia Earhart in it too.
I can't be the only one who thought that was Todd Howard in the thumbnail
So cool you found you this can't wait to see what else is all over the starfield universe
countless mini easter eggs, hidden gems. It is just amazing
The world and sidequest aren’t even good as fallout 3 and oblivion and both came out before 2010

Yeah I saw that after I recorded. I wasn’t looking at my game screen I was looking at the small window of my recording software and couldn’t read it clearly lol
Damn she beautiful! Why she not a main companion?
This is a Red Dwarf reference I think, it's a British show. They had Celebertie bots battling one and other in a civil war.
The ship’s name “Beagle”, I’m almost sure is a reference to a work called “Voyage of the Star Beagle” by Arthur C. Clarke.
I thought it was a reference to the ship Darwin sailed on, the HMS Beagle, given the heavy handed evolution and nature-vs-nurture of this quest. The _Voyage of the Star Beagle_ is an interesting story but the only thing it has to do with this quest is the name of the ship.
The Voyage of the Space Beagle by A. E. van Vogt?

Bro I just started this quest last night too! I was like wtf this is great
I'm going through Unity 100 times
Thanks, this shows there's more to do in this game, I'm new game plus and super bired randomly hitting up planets

You can kill all clones including her if towards the end of the quest you choose no Super User.

you cannot have a robot say the name then fumble it
I decided to end the experiment but FDR was nowhere to be found when I got back to the compound.

cut to the game being acutally super mediocre
This quest would have been great to finish - except the characters I need to talk to are trapped behind doors that are "inaccesable". Good times. ;)
Reminds me of the Star Trek Voyager episode.
I chose to purge the experiment. So no Amelia Earhart for me. But hey at least I got a 3 outfits.
That’s just crazy brilliant!!!!! What a game
