some American drivers have a reputation for being impatient and stubborn. they feel completely inconvenienced when having to stop behind a school bus. it’s honestly their fault if they’re running late, maybe they could’ve made it past that point before the bus got there first
they need to do this EVERYWHERE. i live in NY, and we just had a similar incident with my 4 year old neice, hit by an impatient motorcycle. this needs to be taken more seriously than trying to get illegal guns off the streets
lets be honest this only happens in america the land of the great , here we tell kids to watch both sides of road and be vigilant before crossing roads. the entire system is stupid to begin with all this system does is gives false sense of security that drivers will stop . there will be lot less deaths or misshapes if they remove it .
@@thesaint5991 I couldn’t agree more, we have warning labels on EVERYTHING. Losing 3 kids though to someone who FAILED to stop…. I can’t even begin to imagine that pain.

It was uplifting to see. 🤙🏽💛
The fact that there’s a bus stop on a four lane divided highway and literally no one’s stopping speaks more horrible American urban planning than it does to the decisions of the individual drivers.
I pay attention to these busses and make sure I don’t hit no kids. Plus it is fun watching them come out and enjoy the feeling of school ending. But I think also it has gotten ridiculous with how many busses stop so frequently. I remember years back there was a few bus stops and that’s it. You got buses stopping in front of peoples homes now.
Thank you. FINALLY someone takes note that the car dependent urban planning and infrastructure of the United States is killing children. Make drivers slow down by designing safer streets and getting rid of stroads like this which encourage dangerous and excessive driving.

There should be jail time and a 1 year license suspension for blatantly failing to stop for a bus. In my county the busses now all have cameras and the county sends you a $250 fine for failing to stop.
That is truly sad ): I remember when I was in elementary school a student was getting off the bus and the school bus stop sign was out, there was an impatient driver behind the bus and decides to go around it just to meet head on with a city police! When those red and blue lights came on that was the best thing ever! I wish people were more considerate with school busses
That happened to me but instead of pulling me over, the cop went after the guy who almost rear ended me. A bus stopping suddenly after an intersection is more dangerous than people realize. Stopping traffic is insane thing to do on busy streets where people don't even stop for right turns and if you happen to be a little car in the right lane, with a large truck about to crush your tin can... In that situation the bus would have been hit from behind, I avoided an accident by being alert and NOT following man made laws but instead obeying the laws of physics. It's the responsibility of the kids on the bus, to watch for oncoming traffic and ONLY cross when there's no traffic.
That’s true but a school bus doesn’t block the entire road. It’s on the children that aren’t watching the road and on the bus driver for no waving the vehicles to stop.

Stopping for less than 30 seconds can save lives! (And if I’m that big a rush, leave a little earlier or take a different route)
Our bus driver would call in the license plate of car's that went around her, most of her driving never got over 35 mph, so she could read the numbers and letters, everytime police, went to those homes and ticketed them.
How about losing the license, not gonna lie sometimes I get a little annoyed when i have to stop for a school bus but i always do and never think about running the stop sign.
This is unconscionable...the amount of no concern of your consequences behind the wheel of thousands of pounds of machinery. Decades ago this could've been my youngest son on a two lane street....it was scary to watch him almost plowed over...thank GOD the driver was paying attention and yelled for him to stop. Few years later is when Gwinnett county they started picking kids up from the side of road they live on so no crossing roads....then they put cameras on busses to snap license of ppl passing the busses....sending them tickets in the mail with snapshots.
I’m all for stopping for children, I’m very pro life. But I cannot see why they would want to have a bus full of children stopping on a 4 lane highway? Sounds very dangerous just like stopping at railroad tracks? Maybe there was nowhere else to let the kids off?
there’s a reason why when i stop behind school busses and do and try to block the second lane for the idiots that like to bypass the school bus when they’re stopped. Even at an intersection when i let kids walk on the crosswalk i always look at my rear view mirror because people like to assume that i’m stopped for no reason.
And you have 18 likes showing for the hundredth time, no one knows the rules of the roads. You should specify state. In Ohio in a 4 or more lane highway, only traffic driving in the same way as the bus must stop.
To the drivers who don’t stop when the school bus stop sign is flashing, you need to get heavily fined, your drivers license taken away, and jail time. End of story. Stop crying and wait the 30 seconds, it’s not going to hurt you.
I'm more worried about who thought it was a good idea to have a bus stop on a highway. That person should be picking safer pickup and drop off areas to begin with smh. And yes it's easier to be patient and stop for the school busses there's precious cargo on board. People can be so ignorant and in a rush indangering others to do nothing.
