    I met Jimmy Bain and Brian Robinson at Phyllis Lynotts: The Biz. which was a pro digs for musicians. They were telling us about the new Wild Horses album. She had a bar there that opened at 2 am until 8am. So that you could get a drink when you got in from your gig. Breakfast was at 5 in the afternoon. Happy days, we used to stay for weeks on end. She was like a mother to us.

    • @jjvermeer

      I'm not much of a Motorhead fan. I listened to "Another Perfect Day' because I'm a Thin Lizzy/Brian Robertson fan. He absolutely kills it on that album. They should have made more with him. Not doing so was a big mistake in my opinion. A lot of people don't like it, while people like yourself think it's one of, if not, their best.

    • @GalenIRL
      @GalenIRL Рік тому

      @@rickbrowne9559 I agree, he was great it brought another dynamic to Motörhead.. I'd take Lizzy over Motörhead any day of the week. Dont get me wrong, it's a struggle but Lizzy wins just slightly. With that said Motörhead was Motörhead with either the earliest lineup or final lineup, würzel's welcome anytime too. Well.. let's be honest. Lemmy was motörhead. And Phil was lizzy, Robbo must have been a big part since Wild Horses with Phil on vocals would be a slightly less good Thin lizzy record.

      That was the opportunity for Phil to rope Robbo back in before the disaster years with Snowy White and Darren Wharton.

      @@rockdinosaur666 yes, the "disaster years" were definitely caused by a versatile guitar player and a keyboardist and not heavy drug and alcohol addictions by half of the band..

      This was Neil Carter's first pro rock band...he was originally in Gilbert O Sullivan's band but was recruited by Wild Horses then UFO after this...

    Besides being Mr Charisma, Phillo was pretty loaded. Look at that floppy arm while he introduces the action lol
    But onstage, he was all business.
    You gotta admire his ability to compose himself.

    Someday, maybe, there will be a REAL rock n roll HOF created and Phil Lynott and anyone who was in Thin Lizzy will be among the first inducted. Seriously, anyone in rock n roll owes a ton to him. Here's to dismantling the current HOF and making one that is managed by those who know what rock n roll is.
