It’s crazy because I was just in the shower around 6 this evening praying and asking God to be my every thought in this season of singleness so that I can focus on being who He wants me to be. You’re right! The thought of being married so bad can consume you especially when you want it so bad like I do so it’s important that you recognize your thoughts and the patterns. I’m glad that I’m able to recognize it for myself. Whatever you do in life especially while being single should be done for you and God. Not for your husband to come. Be complete in God before your husband comes and your husband will love every bit of who God has shaped and molded you to be. Good word sister!! Be blessed! I love y’alls channel by the way!!❤️✌🏾
God told me this two days ago, and I was battling with this because I was so selfish being like “no God I know I’m ready”! But this is confirmation that God wants us to seek him for HIM and not for his HAND

I completely agree. Marriage is a nice thought, but it should never be the motive behind your reasons to be coming no better person I’m getting closer to God. Marriage is a gift, it’s definitely not a sin, but I’m also willing to never have a husband or be in a relationship if that’s what God has called me to do. Also, if there’s just never an occasion where I find a guy that’s godly enough to meet my standards (I promise my standards aren’t impossible lol) then I will gladly stay single forever. God bless!

I'm single, I will be 56 Sat, I want to say, don't rush into wanting a boyfriend or a husband. I did this and it was totally wrong! This was before I really got serious with the Lord. Take this time and enjoy you, enjoy spending time with God and pray and ask God when it is time to send someone, I wished I had of done this first. Love ya all🙏♥️

I know I’m older than probably most of your audience. I’m 30, and will be 31 this summer and was single until a couple of weeks ago. It could easily become a season I go through again, but being patient for God honoring relationships is so worth it, even when it’s hard and lonely. Even when all your friends are married, engaged, dating, etc. it’s worth it to focus on the Lord and the relationship and man that will bring glory to Him. Praying for you during this time. I too tend to steer away from christian married couple videos because I struggle for that longing, especially when most of them are a lot younger than I am. It’s easy for Satan to try to take something good and beautiful and stir up bitterness and jealousy in our hearts because our story is different than other christians around us. I think it’s so wise for you to recognize that weakness and flee from it.

I m turning 30 I'm a few months
so relatable! I'll be 29 next month. I don't want to feel or be jealous of ppl who are in Christian relationships or marriage in 2018 I really battled and struggled with that. Especially when church a lot of the times their focus is on married ppl ( in my opinion) God opened me eyes and I realized that I was making being single and longing for a relationship an idol. I do still have my moments here and there, but I dont allow it to become something to obsess over anymore. I praise God for that!🧡
I'm in my early 30's and have never been in a relationship. I've always longed for marriage especially because my parents are such good examples but ever since I became a Christian, my longing for marriage resurfaces ONLY when people around me point out that I should be married by now.
It's pretty hard because I am the only single lady left in my group of friends. It somehow pains me when I show up alone on our gatherings while all of them are with their partners.
But at the end of the day, if the Lord will still bless me with a relationship, I would be thankful. Otherwise, I'd still be thankful. If His will is for me to be single, then I'll follow. He knows what's best for me.

It's encouraging to read your comment, based on a Christian perspective. :) Another struggle I have is that my family and friends feel that I am incomplete without a partner or boyfriend (which is completely false) that's why they're pushing me to have one but I don't want to settle. And I am the only member in the family who became a Christian, so.... :(

I just got married 6 months ago.
After I got saved at 22, I was single for 3 years. Honestly, I struggled with marriage, it was my idol. I went like crazy it consumed me so much. Then I let it go. I met my husband 1 month after that.

I don’t watch couples on UA-cam either. I’m 26 and have been single for about 4 years now? 🤔 This year is the first year I’ve been serious about finding my way through God and he’s helped me realize I’m not ready for something like marriage yet. Society will make you feel like you’re behind or that something is wrong with you for being single but I know that God has someone for me, and with wanting marriage I want to marry the *RIGHT* person the *first* time. Someone I can continue to grow my faith with. Meeting *that* person is worth the wait. 🥰🥰
Also, I keep a water bottle by my diffuser so I don’t have to keep unplugging it every time I want to fill it up.

Hey there. I’m 19 years old and single and to be honest sometimes I think I idolize having a husband so much and like being a mom and having a family that I forget to enjoy the season I’m in now and often don’t even know how to enjoy it..
the thought of being called to singleness for my whole life scares me if I’m honest.. I think the idea of not knowing is what scares me the most. I want to draw close to God and fall in love with him but I also am not sure of where to start..? It’s hard seeing other happy couples out there wondering when my time will come you know..🌸 and with all the negativity going on in the world I also wonder how long till God comes back for us and because it seems like it’s so soon and the end times are near I also question if these desires of mine to be married and grow old will even be fulfilled.. it’s all just a blur to me right now. Lol sorry for my long vent ❤️

I believe that there's a lot of young adult Christian girls that are afraid of being alone, and that's why they "need" to be in a relationship even if it's not someone that God has for them. Many of them loose their focus. Yes! Enjoy this stage in your life, to have great memories and really enjoy.
Girl, you are so beautiful! God has already hand picked the man for you. I used your idea of spending a day with God last Saturday. I had prayer walks, memorized scripture, listened to sermons, and did a painting. I enjoyed it so much that I am thinking about doing it again this weekend.

The end of this video totally transported me back to the early 2000s when I was in Bible College. Some of the deepest conversations happened late at night when we were in bed, or just hanging out in our PJs, and completely exhausted from the day. At 37, I too am single and enjoying it. Yes, sometimes it is hard, when friends are talking about their kids or I see happy couples or I start wondering who will care for me when I am too old to care for myself , but I have learned to be content and trust God with my future.
Love that your sharing this and needed to hear this. I'm 32 and just ended a 2 1/2 year relationship because God gave me a pit in my stomach and an ache in my heart about the guy I was with. I have been far from God for many years but he convicted me to end it. I spent a few nights crying, but God healed that hurt and put me on a different path!

I’m 30 and have been single for 3 years now. I battle with being alone...Since I was 17 I was in and out of relationships. I started following Christ whole heartedly when I was 28. It’s been challenging because I want to do the will of God and not go after my old ways. Every attractive guy I see, I wonder if that’s my “next”.. I hate even thinking that way because I just want to be free in God. Not thinking of any other man. It’s like my past want let my mind be free. So in this season I’m asking God for confidence and to be delivered from my past so I can walk with him in freedom. Thanks for posting this video. I totally relate to what you are saying that sometimes it’s hard for the single Christian girl watching the married Christian UA-cam couples. I definitely have watched these videos and pondered what it would be like to be married like that one day. But I’ve come to a point in my life where it can’t consume me! I still watch these videos but instead of looking at them through a lense of I wish that was me. I remind myself through watching their God written love story that if I continually trust in the Lord he knows the plans he has for me and if one day that is marriage He is more than capable of scripting a better love story than anything I can conjure up in my brain. A couple of years ago I had a really bad heartbreak. Right after a year of intentional singleness I dated a guy and to sum up a long story we both realized we weren’t ready, we weren’t who each other thought we were, and we weren’t putting God first so the relationship came crashing down in little as 1 month. There I was heartbroken and so confused. I didn’t understand why God let this happen. At this point in my heart (whether this was right or wrong) I had already decided I wanted to be this guys wife. After the 1 month and the sudden breakup I felt defeated and destroyed for so long. Christian youtube marriages helped me to break free from that past relationship because I saw that when you really do things right and wait on the Lord to move in His timing and not trying to make something a God thing on your own agenda amazing things can happen. Sorry this is so long 😂 just a snippet of what I’ve been learning over the past couple years in singleness. I also redid an intentional time of singleness in which I am waiting until the end of the academic school year next year to date anyone. “The Lord is my Shepard. Usually in the evening or at night to go to sleep I listen to abide which is a Christian meditation and it is just amazing to fall asleep listening to the word of God. I really hope this will help people as much as it has helped me xx GOD BLESS Xxx

Ive been following your channel for A WHILE and i just love to hear God speaking through you and it helped me when i was single to focus on Abba and not just long for a boyfriend and things. A few years ago I broke up with my boyfriend and decided to stop dating and focus solely on God. I said “Abba I dont wanna fall in love again if it’s not the one you have chosen for me”. and i spent over a year just focusing on God and spending time with Him and i just grew soooo much and learnt a lot. Finding your videos and other Christian you tubers really helped me to surround myself with biblical wisdom. And even now that I’m engaged this is so important to me. I’m not single, and I’m normally here to watch your bible study videos, but I LOVED your reflection on being a single Christian girl! My niece is 12, so there is about to be more pressure on her to “find the perfect guy and be in a relationship”, so I’ll for sure be sharing it with her because it is 100% okay to be single! I am so impressed by your thoughts on it and your purposefulness into making this time about God instead of making it fully about being single!

I am so grateful to you guys, for being real about singleness because you’re right Ashley, there isn’t enough content out there for girls who are single. I want to be intentional with this time I have being single, I get often times consumed with the desire for a relationship (even though I know I have stuff to work through and that I want to feel the feelings that the world promises a relationship will bring) rather than work on my relationship with God and just find out who I am. Like who am I without a man in the picture? I want to and need to figure that out. So I think I’m going to do it, an intentional year of singleness even though just saying it is daunting in itself, with God I can do all things. But yea, your words really encouraged me to do it because I want to feel complete with God without needing a man to do that. Thank you guys :)
Last year I felt God calling me to intentional singleness and I have been enjoying this season so far. I relate so much to your comment because I also get caught up in the thought of really wanting a relationship but at the same time I know I have a lot of work to do in bettering myself and most importantly my relationship with God. So far in the few months I have been single God has really revealed to me much about myself and I have really discovered myself. I am excited for what He will continue teaching me. I am 45years old and single women and proud of it. God has blessed me not for marriage or children..but has helped me find my purpose to be Mother to all the children in my Kindy and Pre-Primary's classes and that is enough for me and of course my relationship with the Lord.
I felt a call to be single for a year too (started in August) and honestly I am SO thankful for this season. It's been such a sweet time to get to know the Lord better!
I'm still very young (15) but I relate to this on another level. Like friendships and to be satisfied on The Lord. Thank you.

Hi! My name's April and I just found your channel today! I am 32 and I was married. It was a very abusive situation. I got married because I was not at peace with being single (basically more or less!). I wish I would have had the confidence back then. Sadly, I've got to where I am the hard way but I am happy where I am now and I'm so glad you've addressed this! I'm actually a Christian Life coach for women with anxiety and trauma now because of what happened in my marriage and my own history with anxiety. I became a life coach over a year ago (shortly after I was separated) after going through coaching myself but I didn't know how I wanted to serve. I did know that I wanted to serve women. Now I serve them by 'teaching' them that they have a Resurrected Power within them and that they are Resilient, that they can have Post-Traumatic Growth rather than Trauma, and ultimately be transformed by God's love for them! As I said, I love that you touched on this topic. Sadly many women struggle with this. Even though it's sad that I had to go through what I've gone through I can honestly say that waiting and being ok with waiting will serve us all well long-term! After all, Patience is virtue for a reason! ;) I can't say it enough! Thanks once again! I would love for young women to understand this more! I wish I had!

I am as single as a crips dollar bill. The Lord really shifted my mindset, because I prematurely submitted to a crush of mine and in doing so I lost sight of my focal points in life. I am soooooo thankful that God pushed me to follow Him instead of him(my crush). Watching this video, which I only viewed because you were mentioning the singleness , but I love being with me and God. Knowing that He is far more reliable than any other human being I am just in awe. Thank you! I am single, saved, and loved!!

I'm single, as well. Singleness is really, really hard sometimes, but I was literally just thinking a day or two ago how when I find someone and get married and have a family, I won't have as much free time to spend with God. I know that having a family takes a lot of work and time, and I'm just so content right now knowing that I can spend time with God and get to know Him better!

I am 25 years old, been a Christian for 2 years and I seem to go through short phases every couple of months or so where I feel like I'm really desiring a husband/life partner and when that comes I really have to be intentional about surrendering that to the Lord and protecting my heart. More recently I've felt the same about there being a lot of Christian couples on youtube, which is wonderful and inspires hope for us singles but at the same time there is definitely a lack of single Christian girls and guys making videos on youtube and owning the season. I've felt God stirring my heart recently to start speaking up more on social media about my faith and sharing what God is doing in my life/putting on my heart, so this has definitely stirred something in me! And it's also comforting to know that I'm not alone and not the only one who can sometimes get a bit down when I watch videos of Christian couples. I am glad you are sharing you thoughts about being single as a young Christian. I wish I had someone like you to watch that sets such a great explain to young women. Now, I am a happy married women. But I didn’t get myself a chance to be a happy single person. I looked to much married couples and wishing so much that it would be my life. God bless has blessed me with my husband and the age of 32 now I am 34. It is a totally different life being married and having a family. Totally have resonated with what you said the you're still whole even if you're single because it is soooo counterculture. I’m married with my first kid and if I could give one piece of advice, it would be to not rush! Treasure the time you have now like you said. You will have so much less time to do these things when you’re married/have kids. Enjoy your single season!
I'm so glad for you that you have this attitude about singleness. I was single until I was 42 with no boyfriends since my very early 20's. I now am going on being married for 13 years. Let me tell you that you are so very correct in your knowledge of your Fulfillment being found in your relationship with Christ. I had a lot of unrealistic expectations on how marriage would be and it wasn't, and the first several years were extremely difficult. But, because we were both certain that our marriage was the Will of God that certainty is what has kept us together. Being in His Will is ALWAYS better than being in our own desires. I pray that you continue to stay in His Will.

I'm 34 and single, and intentionally single. When you were saying that you can live a fulfilling life as a single, I was like "yaasss!" I have never felt so much peace with being single, and I think it truly is because I'm spending more time with God and I put him first. It does not matter what the world says about a "timeline" of being married, or if you're "too old" What matters is GOD'S TIMING for you. God has a plan and once you surrender to that, and embrace what single has to offer, life will flourish, mine certainly has. Enjoy your singleness!

34 and always single. He has been leading me in this season of developing and growing in my relationship with Him. There are highs and lows but there is never (lasting) regret while looking back. (Only times of temptation that I may give into regret.)
I am a single christian girl and I'm very content at how things are. Relationships are nice and marriage is a beautiful thing but I believe that if its in God's Perfect Will, the right time will come. Oh I so hear your heart, Ashley. I'm 34 and currently single, but have been feeling a shift from the Lord happening, in a great way, of course! So what I'm currently doing is of course drawing even closer to God, but also I've been praying on God showing me what I should be doing to prepare my heart for marriage and to be a wife, and He brought me to a few podcasts, one is called The Confident Single (Christian) Woman and The Right to Real Love podcasts. Both are Christian podcasts, the single woman is hosted by a female and the right to real love is hosted by a male. They've been on each others podcasts and have really great insight. So I've been soaking up info, and also watching sermons that have relationship series. Vous Church just did a series called, 'Asking For a Friend,' Pastor Biana Olthoff from The Father's House had a 3 part series recently, Transformation Church has an 8 part series called Relationship Goals. I highly highly highly recommend watching the relationship goals series. I led a small group with series along with the book, 'Love Defined' book written by two sisters who are both now married. These messages, book and podcasts have been SO insightful and my heart is steady because I'm keeping focused on God and refuse to go outside of His timing. Doing what you're doing, Ashley, is so wise. If watching or listening to something regarding relationships makes your heart ache, then turn it off and turn to God. Fine tune your prayers to Him on how those things make you feel, give them to God and He will settle your heart and mind. As you continue to delight yourself in Him, He will reveal things to you that will keep your course on the path He has for you. Thanks for sharing this video! I appreciate you and Taylor!💕🤟🏽
