- Welcome to another episode of Scrap Mechanic Multiplayer Monday! Today we are playing hide and seek in a paintball-style map full of crazy hiding spots. Some of these spots are so good, that even knowing where they are isn't always enough to find the person inside!

Idea for a hide and seek episode. Get a huge map that has 3 separate sections that are big enough to be areas on its own. Rock paper scissors and each person in order of winner gets to choose the section they wanna seek in. The players can explore their section before start. Now they start. The hiders have to go into the other seekers sections blind but will know their area nicely.

honestly they could do similar but each of them build a section of the map (and they always hide in the part they built)
Could also be done with three seperate hide and seek maps. Nice idea.

Would love to see more “Sardine” style hide-and-seek, but with the twist of “you go dead silent when you join the hiding spot”, only the original hider can keep talking and bonus points are awarded if the remaining seeker(s) go a full sixty seconds without noticing someone has gone silent.
Also, if you haven’t checked out the Dornier Do 335, I think you would find it interesting as a concept to either try to replicate in Trailmakers or use the idea behind it for a dogfight. If nothing else, it’s a truly one-of-kind aircraft.
this paint ball map made me think that scrap mechanic could very well make a paint ball gun and have you able to shoot using ink as ammo in survival, and it paints the blocks it hits with the color you selected
ScrapToon is a thing. (basically Splatoon, but Scrap Mechanic mod)

it's hilarious how everyone of them find scrapman's spot except moonbo himself, especially kosmo somehow find a ridiculous way in

I love it on Monday night watching Hide N Seek to relax.
Its easy on the frames because the mapper used bearings as connections for large surfaces like the bearings you saw in the roof. It reduces the total amount of block connections which seem to be the biggest factor in lag on these densly packed maps. Maybe
No, I think that just makes it laggier. The bearings were so you could have the 3rd person camera outside the ceiling
@@vibaj16 Actually they would be right, in theory. It's when you have a large number of bearings close together that there become issues. Paint, different block types, and other methods of making large expanses of blocks actually be smaller sections do actually reduce the overall lag of a map. It's why they were as smooth as they were for my Wild West map, because I broke it up into chunks separated by different block types.
I was laughing way too much when everyone got in the roof, that was the best spot ever.
The bearings in the roof at 7 minutes are just there to allow the 3rd person camera to pass through the roof for a better view. Very clever from the mapmaker!
I can imagine one day there will be a map with a spot that requires a specific combination of buttons hidden around the map to open, but each button also opens another individual spot.
When scrap man was in the trebuchet, he should've taken shots at Kosmo for his hints after being found 😭

I love these hide and seek videos, I'm even working on a map myself.
But I'm starting to realize it's a bit big.. I was aiming at 200 spots and expected to hit 150.😅
Oh well, as long as it doesn't lag when it's done it should be no issue to split the map into 2 rounds.🤷♂️
When it's done it should be a village split by a stream and a casle wall.
Don't expect it soon though! I kinda put a lot of time into the visuals so I'm probably overall only halfway done. (With less than half of the spots ready.)

The first round is the definition of stupidly fun
New workshop hunters idea: search "Funny" and try to find the creations that will make you laugh the most OR make a compilation using some of the funnies creations you have found over the years
New Hide and seek Idea: Hide and seek marathon
hide and seek using every map you have recorded on and change maps every time either someone finishes their round or every time everyone has seeked/sook/seeken/seekth/done the seekening
Suggestion for H&S map makers.
a map that ejects or catapults the seeker very fast when found
a map with no switches and have sensors instead
a map that that only open spots on the other side of the map (or half way to the other side)
Whoever made this map really knows there stuff. This looks like an awesome map. Really well done.

Lol I have a finished attic lmao. I’m the summer it’s way too hot to be up there even with central air pumped up there, but in the winter time it is the most cozy spot in the house. Perfect temp.

Suggestion for you. You should have Taskmaster type rules. Othe hiders are not allowed to mess with things after they have been found unless specifically instructed to do so by the seaker.
Every time Kan hides in a bathroom he is found in SECONDS.
Rooftop party in the first round was absolutely hilarious
They mentioned a skybox button, but got me thinking if the next creator of Hide & Seek maps are making a spot, MAKE ONE WITH A BUTTON AT THE SKYBOX THAT BRINGS DOWN AN ELEVATOR FROM THE SKYBOX!

idea for hide and seek: everyone gets the same skin(bag, outfit etc) and once you find someone you need to guess who it is if you guess right he gets found else he can get to another spot(or stay)

How about a Hide and Seek episode but no 3rd person and everyone has ALT+Z enabled(this includes not allowing map bots)? That means you cant see out or see where the seeker is and it could be interesting.

well, it is true that you guys very rarely ever even check your ovn spot or previously used spots at all, so hiding in a spot twice could very well work, but only a couple times until everyone catches on and checks previous spots first.
