You know it man!!! This is exactly what happened. I remember Schmier from DESTRUCTION mentioning how TestamenT kicked their asses with The Gathering and his new found will to thrash out once again... killer LP and killer line up here too, Jon and Steve from SADUS killing it!!!
DNR is one of my favorite Testament songs. The whole Gathering album itself is just crazy. Probably one of the best lineups they ever had. I mean, you have Billy and Peter son of course, then Steve DiGiorgio from Death/Control Denied, Dave Lombardo from Slayer, and James Murphey. Does it get any better?
I travelled from Glasgow to Nijmegen for this gig. I went there looking forward to seeing Slipknot for the first time on their first European festival tour, KoRn at a live peak, and most of all the reunited Iron Maiden line-up on the Brave New World Tour (Metal 2000 tour ... whatever) ..... but ..... Testament stole the day! Hands down! Amazing.
Just as Testament was playing this show, James and Lars were sitting in a dark room somewhere, arguing over whether they should tune to drop C or B for the next album...
@nivlaranadna yes. the contract also said that only videos with perfect audio such as this that give justice to his and Testament's sound are allowed be uploaded to youtube (rollseyes)
I swear to the almighty god upstairs, testament has to be one of the heaviest and most brutal bands i've ever heard, plus i'll play testament songs to ppl that dont even like rock and THEY even say Testament is fuckin sick, this songs is and always will be my favorite Testament song DNR!!!
I have an audio bootleg from riding the snake tour Not remember clearly 1999 buffalo usa ???? But clearly now Dave Lombardo was playing drums 15 tracked live show
this song is really happening to me even when I everytime open my eyes I´m always watching my past and I can feel my heart so fucking tired to how i´ve ran to hide in fear.I really writte my own songs to describe all my fucking fear to go it away!!!!!!! /m\
+VicRattllehead94 Oh man, I saw them at Bloodstock in 2007 and they destroyed the place. Saw them a couple of years ago and they killed again. Along with Dew Scented, one of those thrash bands who year after year launch headlong into the pit with reckless abandon :-)
Shit man, I'm just turning 30 and even I can't headbang the way I used to. No wonder none of these dudes can anymore. It's a shame though, seeing the bands you love get older and older. Sabbath are a fucking disgrace, but they keep at it. Araya stopped headbanging ages ago and can't scream worth shit anymore. The day Dickinson stops running around, that'll truly be the end.
@nounever Only normal... coming from one of the greatest thrash bands in history! =) Why these guys weren't part of The Big 4 tour and Anthrax was is beyond me...
this is crazy, half of testament is here!!! i only see the rhythm guitar eric peterson and chuck billy.....the rest are gone....i take it testament reformed well after this, seeing that the original band is touring now.....when did all this go down??
Chuck Billy and testament own anthrax any day of the year they should have been part of the big four...fuckin chuck Billy different type of voice changes In most albums are Not only awesome but unique and the gathering is a damn awesome album with Dave Lombardo on drums....!!!!!! Testament kicks fckn serious azzz!!
Why does Chuck have colored highlights in his hair? It's so strange and I can't find any source or image online that addresses his hair. Even stranger, he ends up have indigo braids just a couple years later and I still can't find anything about it.
Steve is an awesome bass player...one of the best! But personally I think Greg Christian is just as good! Testament has some really under-rated bass lines in their songs! TestAmenT=Best Thrash Band EVER!
@nounever Not sure I agree with that. I watched the big 4 concert.. saw Anthrax do a hell of a lot more power chords than any of the other bands. I really don't see their music being at the same level. Don't get me wrong, I totally respect them, and they're far from bad in my eyes... just not my cup of tea. I think they're closer to hard rock, than metal/thrash.... kinda like AC/DC... and I say that very loosely.
This album (and possibly, this song) singlehandedly resuscitated thrash metal. Not an understatement.
You know it man!!! This is exactly what happened. I remember Schmier from DESTRUCTION mentioning how TestamenT kicked their asses with The Gathering and his new found will to thrash out once again... killer LP and killer line up here too, Jon and Steve from SADUS killing it!!!
What a pleasure watching Chuck Billy on stage. Possibly one of the best frontmans in metal history
damn chuck billy sounds amazing here!
in his 40s !!
I cant remember anyone else in his 40s sounding so awesome
DNR is one of my favorite Testament songs. The whole Gathering album itself is just crazy. Probably one of the best lineups they ever had. I mean, you have Billy and Peter son of course, then Steve DiGiorgio from Death/Control Denied, Dave Lombardo from Slayer, and James Murphey. Does it get any better?

Gotta love steve digiorgio on that fretless bass
Not really, he is way off. He needs frets or something to hit the correct notes on his bass. The rest of the band sound great.
if you don't LOVE Testament you're a worthy human being!
best thrash band, DUDE.
This song kicks major ass man!! Plain and simple ass kicking thrash. Testament is possibly the best thrash band ever!!
Chuck has great growl

STEVE DiGiorgio ;) either way, he's the best bassist I've ever heard.
Up there with any of the classic TestAmenT tunes \m/
Chuck billy é um monstro !
Bellissima canzone
DNR is def. one of my favorite Testament songs too, agreed but they've had so many good songs over many albums so it would be hard to pick a favorite.
The way DiGorgio is shredding here is mesmerising to watch, fucking incredible bassist.
Somebody just needs to hand Chuck a guitar. His hand movements seem pretty legitimate.
I'm so addicted!!....TESTAMENT!
Lift high those metal horns \m/
Just as Testament was playing this show, James and Lars were sitting in a dark room somewhere, arguing over whether they should tune to drop C or B for the next album...
That Exactly True friend
Saw em on GOM 2000.. best performance ever!!

Who’s drumming? Jon Allen?
I swear to the almighty god upstairs, testament has to be one of the heaviest and most brutal bands i've ever heard, plus i'll play testament songs to ppl that dont even like rock and THEY even say Testament is fuckin sick, this songs is and always will be my favorite Testament song DNR!!!

/m\
eric peterson doesn't seem happy after steve's solo. he's totally drowning them out. Steve rules.
Back when Chuck could headbang
+VicRattllehead94 Oh man, I saw them at Bloodstock in 2007 and they destroyed the place. Saw them a couple of years ago and they killed again. Along with Dew Scented, one of those thrash bands who year after year launch headlong into the pit with reckless abandon :-)

d giorgio is from other planet, best rock bass player...for sure
@nounever Only normal... coming from one of the greatest thrash bands in history! =)
Why these guys weren't part of The Big 4 tour and Anthrax was is beyond me...

Digiorgio is jamming
Why does Chuck have colored highlights in his hair? It's so strange and I can't find any source or image online that addresses his hair. Even stranger, he ends up have indigo braids just a couple years later and I still can't find anything about it.
Native American culture
He was going through some medical issues at the time.
Chuck Billy Rollers
Steve is an awesome bass player...one of the best! But personally I think Greg Christian is just as good! Testament has some really under-rated bass lines in their songs! TestAmenT=Best Thrash Band EVER!
I miss GC.
He was so good. and the band disrespected him
Chuck Billy sounds like James Hetfield with balls.

@habemusnapalm di giorgio was totally drunk at the whole song, he's just making noise
WHY ARE ALL THE BEST SHOWS IN THE NETHERLANDS!!!... fuck it I'm leaving the US!

@turaly0n
Skolnick coome back in 2005
Is it just me that can barel hear what they are playing? I dont mean they are bad or suck, but the sound is really inaudible in the start of it.
@nounever
He's Pomo Native American
only in that part, in all the video the bassist plays random
