When I was young and had my band, we weren't good enough to play like anyone else, so we played originals:) Now, years later, your channel is my juke box. I flip through the songs and always find one I love to learn . Thank you for the time, effort and sharing.
love the LS. Got the Gold and Platinum in the 80s and always dug the bad ass riffs. Great lesson. Guess I'm dense but I would love to learn to slide my lead notes up the neck so smoothly as you do.
Great job great job I'm sure you got your own songs as many sons as you know. You know how to put all the cords together you know the circle of fifths alacourt regressions you must have your own songs
Nice! Hey I have a question..... Is this Les Paul the same as the one on the PT channel? I can't tell if its a different guitar ( in the old videos it looks like a plaintop burst LP instead of flamed) or just HD video making it clearer. Thanks!
Hey James, great job as always! I have to ask about you wearing Sonny's jersey and the connection.... I know he's played for Skins and Eagles. Is the connection because Sonny played at Duke??? Either way he was a excellent player and although I'm no Skins or Eagles fan , it's easy to admire Sonny for his stellar career.
I grew up in Maryland and my first sports memories are of Sonny at QB for the Redskins toward the end of his career. The fact that he played at Duke is just a bonus. :)
Ed said he wanted to but Gary just came with it perfect....Ed King's guitar collection Marty Schwartz vid on you tube interview....Gary always busting out them double stops.
Ronnie wrote the words. Theres a video of Ed King talking about it. The band started playing the song in the hell house.....ronnie walked up to Ed and started singing the first verse.......
Such a unique song - it could never be released today by a southern band.
Killed it son
You obviously have more fun than a mere mortal should be allowed.
Very good, thanks! I remember hearing this song for the first time in the movie "The Longest Yard".
Works perfectly for that scene.
Good god dude!! I don’t think I have ever seen that thing played any better than that!
I'm in a SKYNYRD Mood!!
I'm always in a Skynyrd mood!
Their best song ever IMHO and played here with authority.
A man with taste
Sweet guitar!
Out standing !!
I have so much respect for talent like that!!!

Great job Sonny!....9
Like how he played an AC/DC riff before playing some Skynyrd.

Pretty Cool video, thanks for posting this video.
Good one JJ
Wonderful! Plus Sonny Jurgensen Jersey completes the scene. Redskins must be home tomorrow.
nice job.
you make it look easier than it sounds, but i guess thats what the greats do
Hey, nice job.

Same guitar, but now there's a light shining on it to bring out the flame.
James James it makes a world of difference on video that's for sure!

👍 got ya
Does Ed play the solo in this one?
When you hear double-stops, chances are pretty good it's Gary. :)

So is your avatar James “Booby” Jones the 70s Hawaiian surf legend?
Ron Coulombe ... Nigel Tufnel, from Spinal Tap.
I can see your frustration trying to cover the playing of three guitars all by yourself in one take, you did a really nice job of it though
Ed wrote the solo and some of the words, but let Gary play the lead.

Are you Jesus?
No, but if I don’t shave for a few days, there is a resemblance.
