Well done James. The acoustic really does drive that song. I have tried to preach the importance of acoustic guitar in rock music for years (especially John Lennon, Keith Richards, Jimmy Page and Pete Townsend) and your videos always include a lot of acoustic brilliance.
The acoustic part was always my favorite part of that song. The lead melody is nice and quite iconic, but the acoustic part really puts the meat on the bones as it were.
Very helpful. I never noticed it goes to a G during the piano solo. You ought to get a good guy award or something, cuz every time I'm trying to learn a song on UA-cam, one of your video pops up, and it always helps. Thanks a lot!
all tutorials that came after yours are exactly like this, even with that little fill you said you didn’t know if it was in the studio version. Great tutorial, so much everyone seems to have copied you, sad the other videos have 2x-3x the views this one has. Thanks for the tutorial.
Never heard this song before. Yet again another great song from LS.. So glad we have you tube. I’m over 50 and could of missed out. THANKS, great lesson
Exceptional job bud, video very well put together. Informative and actually play thru! Nice. Can I ask if you have the tab for that walk / turn around done at 1:39? I wanna learn both acoustic and electric myself: and like that little add. Thanks for sharing! Blaine
He sings, he strums, and has the most handsome torso on The Tube. HA!

"Jamming, Jimmy James: 'You're an awesome, teacher my good man!"
Wonderfully sounding guitar. Both full and bright.
The best rendition for me. Really clear on the chords and strumming. Many many thanks.

Only one word: "Frickin A". Ok, two words, and the first one doesn't count. Thanks, man! That was groovy, as always.
Time to go watch Happy Gilmore. :D
Thank you, I’d learnt it, forgot it and you’ve fixed it.

I hear your Cockatiels lol, mine show up in my recordings too lol
Hmm. I don't have any cockatiels, but I'm sitting right next to a window. Maybe it's birds outside?
Strumming is good. I have often wondered why Gary played all the lead parts on Allen's song.
