You make summitting look like it's not a thing. But when the drone flies over the mountains, I see how infinitesimally tiny you are comparatively. It makes one ponder over the day's worries and realize how small they were, how little they mean in all of space-time continuum. In your own quiet, unassuming Foresty Forest way, have put my life in perspective. Thanks for all that.

Had the same issue with our ninja. Was the gasket not seating correctly. Needed cleaned and placed back in its correct position. Hope that may help.
yeah, instant pots need the gaskets cleaned & replaced occasionally.
Put rubber ring in fridge to shrink it. Storing it closed with lid in heat presses down and stretches the rubber seal ring.

Yup and don't store it with the pressure lid on cuz that stretches the seal oh and if you can find an appropriate bit of foam for the bottom with a hole cut out for the sensor while driving to keep that it from getting any more damage

9:58 we tend to always see the end of a waterfall but that was so cool to see the beginning!! The scenery at Mt Elusive was breathtaking. I can’t imagine what it would be like in person! Keep chuggin along, Foresty!! You rock 🪨!

That's due to the smoke. Otherwise it would be 110°F.
Next few days it'll get better, Wind moving the smoke away. I'm also in Bakersfield. Small World. Yesterday and the day before was the worst. Stay safe.

You do all the work and give us the wonders of a world most of us would otherwise never be able to witness. Gratitude is such a hard thing to express when you can't find a word big enough to say what is in ones heart. 💛
Some pressure cookers rely on deforming a concavity in the interior pot/bowl to throw a pressure switch to tell the computer it is up to pressure. In order for that to work the seal around the top lid must be working in order to bring it up to enough pressure to deform the internal bowl. Otherwise they heat and heat an possibly blast steam out around the top seal. Make sure the silicone seal is clean and well seated around the top. Or replace it.
That is an interesting bit of knowledge I will now carry with me forever, thank you 😊

Double check the silicone seal on the pressure cooker and the lid. If it's dirty, it will make it act funny.

Wow, this was probably one of my fav FF videos yet! You outdid yourself with the camerawork and I was pumped for the rapid succession of peaks. The trails you took this time looked so glorious and the bike ride looked so fun! Always dig the cooking bits as well. I'm a pretty good cook myself and it's fascinating to watch you work in such a confined space. Keep on rockin brother! You inspire me to go on my own hiking journey in Canada :)
This video was in the eastern Coast-Cascade Mountains which run along the Pacific Ocean, he was north of the Whistler Ski Resort as he mentioned the small town of Pemberton which is just north of Whistler, the small town of Lillooet is a bit further north and the mountains in the video look typical for that area, which is dry and very hot in summer as it is in a rain shadow.

Pressure cookers scare me as well. Boiled a tin of condensed milk to make fudge and let it boil dry. The explosion was quite something, did not find the tin until we moved house on the top of a cupboard.

a word of advice, get a pepper grinder, freshly cracked pepper tastes so much better than that dust you buy in stores (loses loads of flavor when not used right away)
What you have to do is put a rubbery pad underneath to help your stuff absorb shocks.

I highly recommend trying “salsa chicken” in your pressure cooker. There’s recipes all over the internet but I find the cheaper(processed) the salsa the more flavor compared to a fresh salsa
