  • I recently picked up a new tent for canoe trips and have been hanging out in it and cooking over the past three days and nights.
    I was so impressed that I had to do a video on it. Great for 1 to 2 people with a mini wood stove and a bit of gear!

    Thanks for the nice video.
    I would also like to buy a tent like this, but is this tent waterproof?
    Thanks from Switzerland

    Thanks for the review, they may have made the doors with out the snow flap, to allow air flow. when using a wood stove you need air flow . Happy camping.

      You’re very welcome, and that’s a perfectly reasonable explanation for it! A good shelter either way. I look forward to getting out with it this fall and winter while I canoe camp

    I bought one last weekend and set it up in a hurry in the dark. Decided to return it sunday morning, then I decided to set it up this coming weekend with the stove and my cot and all my gear inside to decide if I want to keep it or not. I wish they offered this canvas material tent in a 6-8 person size or at least 4-6

      I agree. Would be cool to hang out in it in the winter with a bit more space. This one is small enough to comfortably camp in while on a canoe trip for me though. Easier to heat!

    Maybe they sell some kind of cross pole or hanging hooks that you could mount on the main tent pole, to give you something to hang things from. If you start hanging things from the canvas, you may mess with the tent's performance.

    In regards to not moving that skirt a full 360, when using a stove in a tent you need some fresh air coming in to keep the chimney effect with the stove working correctly.

    • @BlueyesBelow
      @BlueyesBelow  Рік тому +1

      There are 2 vents up top though and a pretty large hole around the chimney pipe for that 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Make a bag that is like the one on the one tigris rock fort hot tent that goes on the pole to hang stuff off.

      A 3-4 person setup would be better space wise, but I really like this thing!

    Does the stove come with the tent or do you have to order it seperately?

    • @BlueyesBelow
      @BlueyesBelow  6 місяців тому

      That is a separate order, but it fits any of the small stove pipes through the stove jack

    I have a stove just like that and I have problems with that little removable centerplate you got a constantly keep flipping that plate around cuz it keeps bending I don't understand but I'm going to have my dad attack well that in four corners and then put a tack weld over that little tiny hole cuz if you damper down the stove on mine at least the smoke keeps puffing out of that hole with the dampers shut off both of them

    • @BlueyesBelow
      @BlueyesBelow  Рік тому

      I think the top circular plate is thinner than the rest of the stove and warps with the heat, but I’ve not had any issues with it. The legs on mine may need tack welded though as they are a bit weak

    • @samueltucker4670
      @samueltucker4670 Рік тому +1

      Yep that removable Hot plate thing or that little round disk is thinner than the rest of the stove it sure is on my stove that little round disk is stainless steel and the stove is steel so I don't know if I can weld it together or not but all's I got to do is put like a pot or a pan on top of it and just leave it there and then it don't warp but when I get that stove going good to keep chat warm it starts bandhan
